Next morning...
The sun shined brightly in the room as our couple is seen fast a sleep in each other's arms with the duvet covering them. Neil woke up feeling the sunlight hit his eyes. He rubbed his eyes as he felt weight on his body. He looked down to see Ahana sleeping on him. A smile came upon his face seeing her. Seeing her state of swollen lips and messed up hair, flashes of last night came in front of his eyes. He looked down kissing her forehead as he pulled her more into himself.
Neil:"God I love you so much Shona."( He felt Ahana move in his arms. He looked down to see her flattering her eyes open slowly Adjusting to the light.)" Good morning Beautiful "
Ahana:(smiled looking up at Neil's face)"Good morning "
Ahana smiled lovingly not noticing the situation or her surrounding at the moment. As she layed her head back on his chest, shock took over her. She felt his bare skin Against her face. Ahana looked up shocked as she looked around to the room and saw the decorations. She even saw their clothes scattered from the previous night. Everything came back to her as her cheeks grew red.
Neil:(chuckled noticing her reaction)" Well I guess my blushing queen is back."
Ahana:"Neil I...a.."( She fumbled with her words as her blush grew more while she held tightly to the cover )
Before Neil could reply, Ahana's eyes wondered off to the wall clock on the wall. 10:25 Am. Her eyes widen at the time. It's so late. What will everyone think?
Ahana:"Shit Neil we are late I "( She started to get up but Neil pulled her back as he hovered over her)" Neil what are you doing we ...."( Her words were cut off as Neil's lips met hers)
His lips devoured her as he passionately kissed her making Ahana forget about her concern for few mins. When he broke the kiss, Ahana came back into her senses and hit him on the shoulders slightly.
Ahana:"We are already late Neil and you are here busy being shameless. What will others think?"
Neil:"They won't think anything because my love they already left for there destination of today"
Ahana:(confused) " What? but what about us. The kids"
Neil:"The kids left with them. They planned to go to the market area today. No one will be back before 6 in the evening. So shona we have almost the whole day to us. "
Ahana:"But Neil how can we stay here when they are out "
Neil:"Why? It's my wife's birthday and I wish to spend it with her. Don't you find spending time with me better then shopping "( He said making a sad pout)
Ahana:(Pulling him into a hug, so that now his body layed on her while his face was buried In her neck)" Spending time with you is the best thing I could do in this world Neil. As it gives me my most memorable memories and makes me the happiest person on this earth"
Neil:" Good because I am not leaving you even for 1 min till 6 pm today"
Ahana:"That's not possible Mr. Malhotra because I need to used the washroom really quick. Plus I got to go take a bath"
Neil:( Laying next to her with his hand holding his head up) " I have a better idea. why not save water. "
Ahana:(laughs)" Very cliche Mr. Malhotra. Why not try and get some original lines next time"( Ahana started to get up but stopped seeing her condition)"Ahh Neil..ac.."
Neil:(Smirked)" What shona?"
Ahana:"Turn around"
Neil:"Why? It not like I haven't seen anything"
Ahana:(Turning red)" Neil stop being shameless and turn around "
Neil:( laughs)"Alright"( He takes his shirt which was thrown on the dressing table next to the bed)" Here wear it"( He said giving her his shirt before turning to the other side)
Ahana careful wore the shirt as she kept looking at Neil or to say his back. A soft smile playing on her lips as she admired his respect for her. After wearing the shirt, She informed Neil before entering the washroom to freshen up. As Ahana did such, Neil cleaned up the room a little bit, still leaving the Birthday decorations. As He cleaned things up his eyes went on a red packed box making his eyes widen.
Neil:( Shocked)"Shit! How can I forget this?"
Ahana:"Forget what Neil?"( She asked as she came out combing her hair with her fingers)
Neil Had Wore his pants while his chest was still bare as Ahana had his shirt. While Ahana had Changed into a light green And white salwar suit.
Neil:"I forgot the most important thing for your birthday "( He said making a sad face making Ahana almost go awe in his cuteness)"your birthday present"
Ahana:"Well my Birthday isn't over yet. As you said it is just the beginning so why not give it to me now"
Neil:"No wait. You go sit in the hall I'll be back. Don't enter the room or balcony until I say so"
Ahana:"But Neil"
Neil:"Please Ahana just do as I say"
Ahana:"Okay "
Neil:(Grinning)"great. Now go"( He kissed her forehead before politely kicking her out of her room)
Ahana sat in the living room scrolling to her phone as she waited for Neil. She opened her social media account to see Multiple friends and family members have wished her. She replied to everyone then called Prabha Maa and Sanjeev Papa. They had left a msg for Ahana to call them when free. Apparently they didn't want to disturb her time with her family which Ahana found rubbish. As she talked with her mother she heard noise from the bedroom. She told Prabha that she had to go and will call them when free before cutting the call. Just as she cut the call, she heard her bedroom door open and Neil came out looking freshened up and changed into New casual clothes such as a white thin sweater like top with Black Jean's.
Neil:"The gift is ready to be presented my lord"( He said dramatically bowing in front of Ahana making her giggle)
Ahana:( Acting along)" Then the gift may be presented "
Neil smiled as he held Ahana's hands and took her inside the room. Ahana entered inside the room to see the room almost same but when Neil took her towards the balcony, it confused her. Soon her confusion turned into a beautiful smile. The balcony had a small matter layed on the corner filled with pillows and soft blankets. There were candles set and flowers in vase by the end of the mattress.
Ahana:"Neil this?"
Neil:" Well yesterday night didn't actually go as I planned. I mean I don't mind the change of plans at all. In fact I'd say I'll take that plan over anything anytime"(He said winking at Ahana causing her to smack him slightly)
Ahana:"Your so shameless Neil"
Neil:(grinning) " Only for you"( Ahana glared at him)"Anyways so I had planned this for yesterday but we didn't get the time to enjoy it so why not now. One min"( He looked at his watch as the door bell rang. He excused himself and ran to the door while Ahana smiled at the cute view in front of her)
Neil soon returned with a packed pizza and coke cans in his hands. Ahana raised her eyebrows eyeing them while Neil just shrugged and said that this was their brunch for the day.
They settled down on the bed as Neil began to pull out the red box from behind. He handed it to Ahana as he sat back and watched her while she looked at her present excitedly like a kid.
Neil:"This is your Birthday Present Shona. I hope you like it. I have been working on it for few days now and it also...well why don't you see it yourself "
Ahana nodded as she unwrapped the gift. By the structure of the gift, she could clear tell it was a box but she couldn't tell what the gift actually was. After unwrapping the paper, She opened the box and saw a scrap book.
Ahana:"Neil this?"
Neil:"Open it"
Ahana opened it to the first page and found few pictures of her and underneath it was written " Beautiful memories for my beautiful queen"
Ahana turned to the first page. It was filled with pictures of her with kids, Neil and everyone else in the family. In the middle was a heart that said pull me. Ahana pulled it and a small note came out which read.
Note:" Though there are multiple women in the world out there which are amazing and beautiful, To me only you exist. As a gift I would like to present the life journey of the Woman which I fell lucky to call mine."
Ahana turned to the next page to find photos of her from a small age till adult. Though there were less childhood pics, The collage showed her life in it. Underneath few photos was a note which said "pull me". As Ahana pulled it, She saw messaged from people in the photo to her. She saw 2 pull me notes on this page. One under Sanjeev and her pic while another under her and Prabha's pic.
Ahana pulled the one under Prabha's name and it stated "Hello beta. Happy Birthday! Though I know you don't like celebrating your birthday much, I am sure Neil can change it now. Ahana you are a amazing girl and I am really grateful for getting a chance to be your mother. Though you came into our house as Our daughter in law, We always say a daughter in you. I am lucky that instead of just saying I was really able to fulfill the duties of a mother by pushing you into this marriage. Ahana I am really sorry for any mistakes I have made regarding you but trust me everything Sanjeev and I have done our for your happiness. I hope you understand that someday. A very happy Birthday dear. Can't believe You have grown so much."
Ahana next pulled out Sanjeev's note which stated "Happy Birthday Ahana. I wish you all the luck in the world. You make me so proud Baccha. I am sure you parents will be proud of you as well if they were here. Ahana even without any blood connection you have been the most amazing daughter on can ask for. I truly feel as if i have done something really good in my past life to have a daughter like you. I am sorry Ahana for things I might have done which you didn't agree with But please always remember that everything Prabha and I do are for your benefit. I really hope you can forgive us. We love you. Happy Birthday Child."
Ahana looked up At Neil in tears and A little confusion. Her parents words had made her feel multiple emotions. Emotions of love, care but at the same time emotions like confusion and shock as well.
Ahana:"Neil what do they feel sorry for. They are one of the best parents in the world. But it feels like both of them feel guilty towards me for something "
Neil:"I am not sure Ahana. it's probably just about Our marriage. We didn't want to get married again but our parents forced us to see each other. It's probably due to that maybe"
Ahana:"If that's the case then they already know I was never angry or upset at them. Infact I feel thankful because of their decision I met you"
Ahana looked at Neil who smiled at her. He then lowered his eyes on the book indicating her to continue ahead. She gave him a nod before turning to the next page Which held Photos of Her and Ansh. The photos varied From childhood till Ansh's 4 years of age.
