Chapter 72| Getting Hints

Ahana watched as her husband massaged her feet, helping her get rid of the pain. Ahana felt proud of Neil. She wanted her sons, Aryan and Ansh, to learn from their father. Maybe if everyone taught their sons these manner and belief that Neil held then the world would be such a peaceful and safe place of men and women. She saluted Angali and Rahul for giving such wonderful upbringing to Neil , Rohan and Sid. She just hoped she can make Ansh and Aryan and Naira have great values and Belief like Neil as well.

Her thoughts were disturbed by multiple beeps on her phone. She looked down at her phone and frowned at the screen in front of her.

Neil:"What happened shona?"( Neil asked seeing her frown)

Ahana:"Neil..s..see this"

Ahana forwarded her phone to Neil. Neil frowned as he saw few messages from the unknown number. Yes Neil was aware of this unknown calls. After 2 or 3 times, Ahana had discussed this with Neil. Though he himself tied to call this number from his phone or even investigated about this, nothing came out. All they got to know was the number was somewhere from London.

Neil:"Did u get the call Again Shona?"

Ahana:"No but I texted this number today. I don't know why but I just feel that this isn't a prank anymore. I mean something is missing here. Just read it.."

Neil nodded as he started to read the messages from the top.

Ahana ~ Hello, I have been getting calls for the past few months from this number. May I know who it belongs to.

Unknown ~ Is this some sort of Prank or what. I haven't called you like ever. How the hell would you get calls from my number.

Unknown ~ Who the hell are you even?

Ahana:"One min Neil let me send something "( As Neil sat next to Ahana on the bed, she took a screenshot of the call log from the this number and send it to the per.)

Ahana ~ Photo

Ahana ~ See the call log states otherwise.

Unknown ~ But how? Wait.

Neil:"Who ever it is, These sure do lack the manners to talk properly"

Ahana:(Laugh)" Does that matter Neil. "

Neil:"Oh yeah it does. How can he or she talk so rudely to you or anyone. If They were here in front of me then I would show the what attitude actually is"

Ahana:"Yes yes....I have seen your Mr. Neil Malhotra attitude."( Another ping broke their cute banter as both again focused on the phone conversation)

Unknown ~ Well I guess my Ex must have called using my number.

Unknown ~ That stupid man can't even leave me in peace after breakup

Ahana:" Ex? Why would someone ex call me? Is it really a prank?"

Neil:"A prankster won't prank the same number more then 2 times. "

Ahana:"Yeah your right"

Ahana ~ May I know who this ex of your is because as you can clearly see I have 15 calls from this number in the past 5 to 6 months. That sure implies that this can't be a wrong number or a prank call.

Unknown ~ Ofcourse why didn't I think of this before that bloody bastard was cheating on me 2 months before our break up.

Unknown ~ Who the hell are you.

Ahana ~ Clearly you lose common sense or you would know that if your ex  was 'cheating' you that to with me then I would know that person's Name.😑

Neil started to laugh out loud at Ahana's salty reply while Ahana huffed in anger.

Ahana:"There is a limit to stupidity.  and why are you laughing"( She said pouting at Neil)

Neil:( In between laughs)" What can I say  shona. That reply...I can never imagine you being able to reply this sharply to any one. Pregnancy brings a new Ahana out and I love it"(He said kissing her forehead)

Unknown ~ True but then why will he call you. God Rajeev was an Antic piece

Ahana and Neil froze at the name of Rajeev. Is it the same Rajeev that they know or Another. Rajeev is a common Name in India, but this couldn't be a coincidence. What if he was planning something for months.

Ahana:"Co...could it be r...Rajeev?"

Neil:"That...."( He said getting angry as he closed his eyes to calm himself down)" do you have any photos of Rajeev?"( He said taking Ahana's phone)

Ahana:"Old photos maybe"

Neil searched through the gallery and came across multiple pictures of Rajeev from 7 years back. Most were with his family and Ansh. Neil found one pic of Rajeev holding Ansh as he smiled at the camera.

Ahana ~ Is this the Rajeev your talking about?

Unknown ~ Yes but how do you have his picture and why the hell is he carrying a baby?

Ahana:( Turning to Neil)" Neil we need to meet her. Maybe she might knows what happened to Rajeev all this years. It's looks like she...she might be..the girl he wanted to leave...leave me for"

Neil:"You sure Ahana"( He cupped her face)" I know you have moved one but if she really is the girl who he ch....well then it might not be good to meet her in person"

Ahana:"I will be fine Neil. This is important. She might be able to tell us the reason he is back. It's looks like they broke up few months  back only. That's when the calls started. Maybe she had a hint of what he is after. We need to know His past 7 years to know his true motive"

Neil:"Okay. "( He said trusting Ahana's words)

Unknown ~ Hello...lady...reply will you. Where did u get his photo

Ahana ~ We need to meet up

Unknown ~ Sorry?

Ahana ~ I said we need to meet up

Unknown ~ okay you defo Crazy

Unknown ~ Why the hell would I meet a random person. Have you never heard of stranger danger plus who knows if you are girl or a boy acting as a girl?

Ahana ~ See I am a girl I can assure you and I need to meet you it's important. it's related to your ex and you can say this is about life and death. We can meet in a public place. Bring a person if you want. I can assure you I am not a kidnapper. Just please it's urgent.

Unknown ~ Okay lady calm down. You do realize that I live in london right?

Ahana:"Oh no I didn't think about this Neil?"

Neil:"Zoom meeting. I mean it's pretty common to communicate that way"

Ahana:"Yeah"

Ahana ~ It's okay we can meet through Zoom meeting. I guess it should be safe for you as well and you can try and trust me a little then

Unknown ~ Okay. Tomorrow Evening. Same time. I'll send the link to you

Ahana ~ Thank you Thank you so much. May I  know your Name

Unknown ~ Sonia.

Ahana ~ Ahana here. I'll wait for the link. Thank you again.

Unknown ~ NP ✌

Ahana:( Keeping her phone aside as he looked at neil)" Now we have to wait till tomorrow evening.  I don't know Neil but I have a feel by tomorrow we will have something. Something that can help us in our mission to punish Rajeev"

Neil nodded as he kept the oil and other supplies aside before wiping his hands on the towels and setting that one the chair. He come towards his side of the bed and layed down before pulling Ahana into his arms. Ahana snuggled into his warmth as they both stayed quite for sometime.

Neil:"You know shona one thing shocks me to core"

Ahana:"What?"

Neil:" The question How. How can a man stoop this low to hurt his own parents which brought him into this world. How can a man stoop so low to hurt his own child.  The child that is a part of him. How can one man stoop so low to hurt his own wife who he had claimed to love all this years. No man can do what Rajeev has done and still be considered human"

Ahana:"Because he is a monster Neil. You know everyone hear story of Heroes and Monsters all throughout their childhood. In those story we visualize a human as a hero while a horrific creature as a monster. What we don't know at the point is that Humans are the biggest monster themselves. You don't have to look different to be a monster, because in today's world monsters live with us like Rajeev hidden in their disguise."

Neil:"But not anymore. Rajeev has lived in a freedom he never deserved. He was never punished for the crimes he has committed but now he will. And we will make sure of it."

Ahana nodded as Neil kissed her forehead. They both drowned into slumber with these thoughts lingering over their minds.

Next Day..

The next day passed through as usual as well. Both Ahana and Neil were anxious for the evening time. The morning was pretty normal as the 2 spend time with family members while in the afternoon, Ahana and Neil took the kids swimming.

Ahana had planned to sitting near the seating area in their indoor pool while The kids and Neil went for a dip. But can the Malhotra kids and Neil himself leave his wife out of the fun moments. Surely not. So the kids and Neil came up with a naughty plan.

Neil indicated the kids to stay quiet as he slowly walked out of the pool with water droplets dripping on the surface.

Ahana:(looking up from her book)"Neil what happened? Done swimming so early "

Neil:"Nah the swimming plan is still on but I forgot to take something with me"

Ahana:"What?"( She asked confused)

Neil:"You sweetheart "( He said winking as he picked her up in a bridal way making her squeaky in surprise as the book fell on the ground and her arms automatically wrapped around Neil's naked neck.)

Ahana:"Neil no...put me down...please Neil"( Neil paid no heed as he came to the stairs of the pool)" Neil I am pregnant "

Neil:(Laughs)" Shona you do know na that being pregnant makes your argument more week. Swimming is one of the best exercise for pregnant women. It's highly recommended "

Ahana:"Neilllll"( Ahana yelled in frustration and Neil slowly descended down the stair and as cold water started to hit her legs and waist)

The kids giggled as Ahana clung onto Neil feeling the cold water hit her skin. She squeezed her eyes shut as a shiver ran through her body feeling the cold temperature. She could here her kids cheering her name as she opened her eyes and looked at Neil with a glare.

Neil:"Stare at me all you want later sweetheart, as if now enjoy the moment"

( He said as he slowly spun around in the pool making the water splash here and there cause Ahana and the kids to giggle.)

Neil made Ahana stand on her feet as he picked up Ansh in his shoulder. Ahana stood back looking at Neil and Ansh as a smile came upon her.

Naira:"Mumma seee"( Ahana looked at Naira who swim towards Her with her safty tube around her stomach)

Ahana:"Oh wow. My princess finally got over her fear huh?"( Naira Grinned)

The Family enjoyed some swimming time with Aryan and Neil raceing while Ahana played with Ansh and Helped Naira to learn swimming. Around 7 in the evening, When Ahana and Neil finished getting the kids showered and all washed up before freshening up themselves as well.

They had dinner with the family members before rushing to their respective room for the planned video call that they had been waiting for since morning.
