Chapter 77 | Decision

Neil:( Spoke up after a few mins seeing Ansh still awake)"Tell me Ansh. How did the monster look like"

Ansh:( Hugging Ahana)"Scary papa"

Neil:( Pulling ansh towards him As he cuddled him)" But Buddy what color was he"

Ansh:"Red"

Neil:"Red like your favorite car?"( Ansh nodded)

Ahana looked at Neil confused. What was he trying to do. She didn't understand it but she kept quiet observing the two.

Neil:"By the way what was your favorite cars name.."( He acted as if thinking.)

Ansh:"Lighting queen"

Ahana:(Laughs)"Not lighting queen Ansh. It's  Lightning  Mcqueen "

Ansh:"yes mumma  lightning mqueen"( He said as he had difficulty pronouncing the name properly)

Neil:(smiles)"Yes buddy Lightning Mcqueen. Now tell me one thing Ansh. Lightning Mcqueen Is strong right. He zooms here and there."

Ansh:"yeah papa he is the best "

Neil:"Hmm he is. And What about your favorite superheroes?"

Ansh:( Excitedly)"Iron Mannnn.... Spider man..."

Neil:"Yes Iron Man. He is super strong and fights villain. Even spider man. But Ansh did you notice both of them wear red suit."

Ansh looked confused at his father who pulled Ansh closer towards him while Ahana layed a little far, eyes still on her 2 boys.

Neil:"Ansh red should be your favorite color. Your favorite car, favorite superheroes and even your favorite tshirt has red on it"( He said as he slightly tickled Ansh)"And if Red is such a bright and Happy color than he can he hurt us. Even the Red monster can't hurt us Ansh. Because we have so many superhero with us to protect us. Ansh you yourself are soooooo strong how can any monster hurt you. And papa so there na no monster will even think of hurting my Ansh. So Ansh doesn't need to be scared of Any monster. Ansh will protect mumma and Baby na. Baby is small and will get scared easily "

Ansh:(hugging Neil)"Papa I am strong. I will protect mumma And baby. I will fight Red monster. I am not scared now"

Neil:(Kissing his forehead)"Good baby. Never be scared of Anything. Ansh if your scared of something then you make it stronger.( He said as he looked at Ahana)" Instead of being scared, we should face our fears. Then the fear itself will be scared of our braveness."

Ansh Nodded as he yawned a little. Neil saw this as he patted Ansh's back helping the little guy fall asleep. All this while Ahana's mind pondered over Neil's words. As was lost in her thoughts when she felt a hand rest on her forehead. She turned to see Neil looking at her while Ansh was snuggling into his chest fast asleep.

Neil:"don't think much Shona. Gets some sleep. We can talk about it tomorrow if you want. clear your mind and get some rest. You need it and So does the baby."( Ahana smiled and nodded)

As she kept looking at his eyes, his fingers ran through her hair as he helped her sleep. Soon her eyes became droopy as she fell into slumber.

Next morning...

Ahana's eyes flattered open as she adjusted to light. She felt a hand pressing Against her stomach and looked down to see the back of Neil's hands pressed against her stomach and pressed to his hand was Ansh's leg. Ansh had a habit for moving in his sleep. He most probably moved and kept his leg near Ahana's stomach. Neil hand was the only think keeping the pressure off from her stomach. She sighed in relief. Not sleeping with the kids for months, she had forgotten about this. A Soft smile came upon her seeing the sight in front of her though. Even in deep slumber, Neil was protecting them. Protecting the baby.

Ahana:(As she softly ran her hands through Neil's hair)"How can you always give me peace in such harsh circumstances. I think I now what to do Neil. I think I have my decision ready."

Ahana slowly kissed his forehead and then she kissed Ansh's forehead before she climbed out of the bed. She walked towards the Bathroom and before entering, she stopped by the dressing table to comb her hair in a bun. As she did, her eyes traveled to her bump. She had already entered 5.5 months of her Pregnancy. Her stomach was clearly visible for the past 2 days or so. The baby itself was making small movements from time to time. Now even in her saree, Her bump could be seen if looked closely at.

She smiled as She ran her hands over her bump, looking at herself in the mirror. She whispered a soft good morning to the baby before she headed in the washroom to freshen up.

She exited the washroom to see her boys still asleep. She headed down to the kids room to see Naira and Aryan still sleep. Ahana settled down next to Aryan as she slowly woke him up.

Ahana:"Aru...Baccha get up. You don't want to miss school today"

Aryan:(snuggling into his mother)"Hmmm"

Ahana:(Smiled as she kissed his forehead)"Aryan it's already 7:20.. You will be late for school beta. Common get up fast fast"

Aryan sat up tiredly and mutter a small good morning before heading to the washroom to freshen up and brush his teeth. Meanwhile, Ahana woke Naira up. After getting both of them ready, she asked Shruti to feed them breakfast while he headed up to check on Neil and Ansh.

She entered the room to still she them sleeping peacefully. She smiled slightly as she headed towards then and tried to wake Ansh up to snuggled into Neil's warmth. She then tried to wake Neil up but he just mutter 5 more mins as his hands automatically started to pat Ansh.

Ahana:(In a stern loud voice)"It already 8:15 Am and if you not up in the next second then don't blame me for what I will do."

Neil sat up in a hurry while Ansh whined due to the missing warmth. Neil looked at his watch and his eyes widen at the time.

Neil:"Oh no...We are late. Ansh get up...you school starts in like 20 mins...Aryan and Naira..."

Ahana:"They are all dressed and ready for school. They leave in 5 min. Neil just get Ansh ready for the day. He is not going to school today."

Ansh:"Really..!! Yeahhh"

Neil:"Wait what.. But why..."

Ahana:"Because he is going to meet Rajeev today"(She said shocking Neil )

Neil:"huh?"

Ahana:"Ansh go freshen up Baby... Papa will come in 10 min"( Ansh nodded as she rushed to his parents bathroom while Ahana turned to Neil)"Neil I have made my decision. I will allow Rajeev to meet Ansh. Yes I an still scared but I think i know that whatever might happen, we will handle it. To be honest Neil I....I don't trust my self with all my emotions at this moment but I trust you more then anything in this world. I know that you won't let anything bad happen to anyone. So I have decided that we will call the court and fix a appointment for today around afternoon. Have this meeting and get done with it so that we all can finally move on."

Neil:"Ahana...."(He held her hand as he kissed the back of her hand)"I love you shona... Thank you for trusting me so much"

Ahana:(Smiled)"Now common Mr. superhero of kids... get up and get yourself and Ansh ready for the day. I'll just send Aryan and Naira off to school"

Neil:"Yes boss"(He said as he saluted her while Ahana laughed leaving the room)

Ahana bid bye to Aryan and Naira as they left for school. Other were confused as well as to why Ansh had not gone to school today. For the kids, Ahana said that Ansh had a doctor's visit planned today but she promised that in the evening after school they would all go out for dinner.

As for the elders, Neil had came down and He and Ahana told their decision to the family members together. There were multiple denials and worried faces in the audience but Ahana and Neil explained everything to them. Though still reluctant, They agreed knowing that Ahana and Neil will no do anything wrong for their kids.

Neil had called and informed The judge of their decision and asked them to set a meeting around 1 or 2 in the after lunch time.

As if now it was 11 in the morning. Neil and Ahana sat in the kids room with Ansh who was busy playing With his toys.

Ahana:"Soooo how are we going to explain this to him again?"

Neil:"It was easier when I imagined it but now...I am lost as well"

Ahana:"Neil I..I seriously hope this doesn't go wrong"

Neil:"No no.. it's won't.. Let's just.. let's just give it a go.."(He said as he got and and went to sit near Ansh)

Ansh:"Papa...let's play.."( He said seeing his father sit next to him)

Neil:"Yeah buddy we will play...but before that Mumma and I have something to tell you. Ansh you are a big boy now right.."

Ansh:"Yes.."

Neil:"Good so...Beta you remember how before Mumma and you came here. I wasn't with you for sooo many days"

Ansh:"Yes Papa.. where were you?"

Neil:"Well Beta papa was.."

Ahana:(Coming and Sitting next to Ansh)"Ansh..baby you remember I told you the story of Krishna ji?"(Ansh nodded)"Well baby remember he had 2 mumma. Yasoda mumma and Devki mumma. And he also had 2 dads. Nanda and Vasudev "

Ansh:"Yes mumma.."

Ahana:"Well what if I told you.. That you also have 2 mumma and 2 pa..."

Neil:"2 papa. "

Ansh:"Reallyyy!"

Ahana:"Yes Baby.. See That photo "( She pointed towards the photo of Aarti )"That is your other mother. And...well for papa.."

Neil:"Beta today we will meet someone. He...He is you Papa too. When I was not with you..um...Rajeev, Your other dad, Was there but when you were a baby he left."

Ansh:"Why?"

Neil:"Baby You know how kids do mistakes and mumma scolds them so they be a good kid. Well He...he became a bad man. So he left. Now he came back because he wants to meet Ansh. "

Ansh:"No I don't want to meet bad man. I like papa"(He said hugging Neil)

Neil:"Baby I am not going anywhere and I will always be with you I promise. Ansh, he only wants to meet you for 10 mins Then he will go back"

Ansh:"Go where"

Neil:"He is bad man na so he needs to do good deeds to be good again. He will go do that"

Ansh:"But why do I need to meet him"

Neil:"Baby don't you want to see him onces. You don't have to be scared or afraid. I will be with you and even mumma. We will just go and meet him then we will..."

Ahana:"Then we will go outside and At night Ansh, Naira and Aryan will eat at their favorite restaurant "

Ansh:(getting happy again)"Really mumma?"

Ahana:"Yes baby..."

Neil:"Okay then that's the plan for today.."( He said as he slightly tickled Ansh who giggled)

As Ansh giggled, Ahana and Neil looked at each other. Explaining things was hard to Ansh, but things worked out okay. Now all they had to worry about was the meeting with Rajeev. They both hoped things with work out well.
