Just then the nurse entered with Navya in her arms. She layed the baby in the crib provided in the hospital and turned the Neil. The kids rushed towards the Crib as Sid showed them the baby while Neil talked to The nurse.
Nurse:"The test came out fine. The Baby and mother both are fine and healthy. We would like to keep them under observation tonight but by tomorrow they both can get discharge. At night only 1 person is allowed to stay. Preferably the father of the baby if not then the mother of Mrs. Malhotra. Also visiting hours would close in 1 hour so please empty out this room by then"( Saying so she left)
Naira:"Papa she is sooo smallll"
Neil:( Walking towards Naira as he picked her in his arms)" Yes princess. You were same as well. Soon she will also grow as big as you"
Ansh:"Papa why is she sleeping I want to play"
Neil:"Beta she is tired na. And Aren't you 3 tired as well. Now you all have a big responsibility of taking care of your new sister and helping Mumma okay"( The kids nodded)"Good now go home with Dadi and Dadu and don't trouble them. Tomorrow Morning when you wake up the we will bring the baby home"
Aryan:"Papa mumma will you not come "
Neil:"Baby Papa and mumma need to be here to make sure the baby doesn't get scared na. See you 3 are big now but she. she is soo small she will cry when she sees no one"
Ansh:"no no cry baby. Mumma and papa will be here with you"
The family adored the kids before they bid there final byes and left for home. The nurse did her last check up of Ahana before leaving the couple alone for the night.
As Ahana layed on the hospital bed, She saw Neil busy talking to someone on the phone. She looked towards her right to see the baby fast asleep in the crib. She layed back as she remembered her pregnancy. God were these 9 months one heck of a journey.
From becoming pregnant to having small sickness to the toughest parts of her past to the final closure of every horrifying moment in her life to the uncomfy and annoying yet beautiful and lovable last few months of her pregnancy. The labor pain to the delivery to now. The beautiful Angel being in her arms.
A lot has happened in her life but she felt grateful that it did. Because everything in her life taught her something and the biggest thing she had learned is that every thing is Destined to happen. Everything happens for a reason and it is up to us as individuals to look at the positive of life because there is always positive hidden in the negatives.
Her life it self has shown her so many moments where now she truly feel that She was Destined to be Neil and Neil was Destined to be hers. They both were ment to be heartbroken so that they could come together and mend each others heart with love.
Aryan was the one who brought Ahana and Neil close in a way. The fact that he bonded with Ahana the last which required Ahana and Neil to work together. The most important part was that Aryan taught Ahana and Neil that in a way they can live with their past and future together. Aryan excepting Ahana but not forgetting Aarti taught Neil and Ahana that one can move forward with their past as well.
As for Naira and Ansh. Ahana saving Naira and Aarti saving Ansh. Everything felt destined. When Aarti felt hopeless, Ahana showed up to give a new life to Naira. When Ahana left helpless as his son hung at the edge of danger, Aarti showed up giving Ansh a new life.
And now Navya. Ahana and Neil's Navya. Their 4th Baby. A new angel that had just graced the Malhotra family with her aura.
Neil:( As he sat next to Ahana on the stool and kept his hands on Ahana's shoulder bringing her out of her thoughts)"What are you thinking love"
Ahana:"Nothing Neil "(She smiled)"I am just thinking about Life. It incredible how Destiny does it's works. I am thinking what our destiny has in store for us now"
Neil:"Happiness Ahana. Just Happiness. See how a angel has graced our house today. She will being Happiness and love in our family. We have so much to our journey that we need to explore. We are going to live our kids childhood Again through Navya."
Ahana smiled as Neil leaned in slowly as took her lips in a small and soft kissing motion. As Neil pulled back, Ahana held his hand and pulled him closer. She shifted a little on the bed as she indicated him to lay beside her.
Neil:"Are you sure...I'll take the couch.."
Ahana:"I can never be more sure Neil. I need you beside me. Please"( Neil smiled softly as he slide next to her on the hospital bed while Ahana snuggled into him)
They both layed in each other's arms as they stared at their daughter laying next to them in the crib. Both didn't realize when sleep took over them both.
Next Morning...
Around 10 was when Sid and Rohan arrived to take Neil, Ahana and Navya home. Neil completed the discharge papers while Ahana dressed Navya in a new dress send by her Dadi. Sid then took Navya in his arms while neil helped Ahana towards the car. As she settled down in the back with neil who held Navya in his arms. Sid and Rohan sat in the front.
The drive home was short and calm. As they reached Malhotra Mansion, Ahana's eyes fell on the rose petal path that layed from the car till the entrance of the house. Ahana and Neil exited the car as Sid indicated them remove forward. Ahana and Neil looked at Each other then at their small angel which was now in Ahana arms. They both moved along the rose petals path to the house.
As they came to the Main gate, There stood Angali with a Pooja ki Taali in her hands to welcome her kids home. She blessed her kids with God's presence before she moved aside and asked Ahana and Neil to enter.
As Ahana and Neil entered they saw the whole house decorated with flowers and lights as if it was a festival. As they looked around the house, they heard a yell of the kids.
Kids:"Surpriseeeee"( The kids beamed as they beamed in happiness and pulled a rope)
Soon rose petals started to fall on Ahana and Neil who looked up surprise.
Kids:"Welcome home babyyyyy"
Ahana laughed as the kids came and hugged Neil. Shruti guided Ahana to settle down on the couch next to Preeti who also sat down due to her pregnancy.
Naira:"Mumma will baby play?"
Neil:"She is asleep now princess. Maybe later"
Ansh:"How long will she sleep papa. It's morning already"
Aryan:"She will sleep all day Right mumma? Naira used to sleep allll day and Cry all night"
Naira:(Innocently)"Mee? I dont cry bhaiya "
Ahana:(Smiled at the kids talk)" Yes Aryan. Baby will sleep all day and wake up for small time just to eat. She just came into this world na. She needs time to adjust."
Neil:"And what is this baby baby. My sweetheart has a beautiful name. Nayva"
Kids:"Navya?"
Neil:"Yes Baccho. Your Sister name is Navya"
Naira:(Struggling to say the name )"Na..na.."
Ansh:"Nanya.."
Aryan:"Navya...Navu...Navu! Maa she is Navu"
Ansh:"Navu..."
Naira:"Naaaavuu?"
Aryan:"No Navu"
Naira:"Navu? ( Aryan nodded As she turned to look at the baby in Ahana's hand)"Navuuu!"( Navya smiled in her sleep as she heard her new nickname)
Ahana:"Navu"( She whispered to herself liking the sound of it)
Sid:"Common kids let's get the cake.. Come come "(Sid took the kids to the kitchen while Ahana and Neil looked around confused)
Soon they brought out a pink frosted came which ready Welcome Home Angel. The family members asked Ahana and Neil to cut it. Ahana and Neil stood up as Neil called The kids in front of them. All of them cut the cake and fed each other as they celebrated.
Later that day...
It was around 9:45 in the evening. Ahana had just returned to her room after putting the kids to sleep. She entered to see Neil laying on the bed with the baby next to him as he stared at her sleeping figure. A soft smile came upon her face. She remembered when her mother used to tell her how her father would stare at her For days after Ahana was born. Her mother also told her how he would always say things like " look how small her hands are" or "look she smiled. Why is she smiling in her sleep"
As she watched Neil a glimpse of her father was seen in him. She closed her eyes trying to stop her tears as she came and sat on the other side of the bed.
Neil:"She is soo small and Fragile Shona. I...she is like a doll"
Ahana:(Smiled)"umm hmmm"
Neil:"Did the kids sleep?"
Ahana:"Yeah...(She said as she looked lost a little)
Neil:"What happened shona?"
Ahana:"I ...I don't know Neil..I am just scared. Neil did Aryan ever feel insecure when Naira was born? I have heard that with a new baby's arrival it is hard for parents to focus on all kids equally and that makes the kids insecure. I..I don't want any of my kids to feel such way."
Neil:"Ahana...Calm down..We are together in this na. We will make sure to give each and everyone of our kids time. No one will be insecure. Ahana Yes this will be hard to handle the baby and give Naira, Ansh and Aryan equal time but we will manage. I am here with you throughout. I have taken work from home for the next 4 months. As well as 2 weeks off starting today. So I am there dont worry"
Ahana:(Kissing his cheeks)"You always know how to make me feel better "
As the couple stared at each other, they heard a loud cry. Navya had woken up.
Ahana:"Oh oh oh Baby...what happened?( She cooed as she picked the baby in her hands and rocked it back and forth)" Neil.. I need to feed her can you grab the towel."
Neil handed her the towel as Ahana fed the baby. After feeding the baby again started to go into slumber. Ahana handed the baby to Neil who rocked it back and forth to deepen it's slumber while Ahana cleaned up a bit.
Ahana:"For few days all the baby will do is sleep, eat and cry"
Neil:"It's still adorable "
Ahana:"I am tried Neil..We should sleep"
Neil nodded as Ahana layed down on the bed and Neil layed the baby on the crib next to Ahana. He had gotten it last week only. He then soon joined Ahana and both fell into deep slumber.
