Nika POV
The car ride to the movies was awkward. The Weeknd, Bryson Tiller, and Brent Fayiaz taking turns coming through the speakers. I drove, Tate in the passenger seat, and Paige in the back. No one dared to talk about the most recent situation, not wanting things to get heated. Before we had left, I told Tate what I had heard, getting a cry in return. She couldn't believe the woman she saw as a friend would cause such havoc, and, honestly, neither could I.
"So, what movie you guys wanna watch?" Paige asked from the back, slowly peaking her head through the space between the front seats.
Tate shrugged, I sighed, "I don't know, Paige."
I can't blame Tate for being upset with everyone and everything, but I can't say I liked seeing her act like this. I stop at the red light, looking in Tate directions. Had she still been crying?
I move my hand from the steering wheel, placing it on her thigh. She looked over at me, she had been.
I rubbed light circles, "You okay, Ta?" She nodded, moving to look back out the window.
I gave Paige a look through the mirror, her taking the hint. She put her airpods in, nodding to let me know she wasn't going to listen. I tapped Tate's thigh.
"Hey, baby? You okay?" She looked back at Paige, "She's not listening, she's got her own music."
"No, I just can't get over Ava helping KK. Like, I trusted her, I took advice from her about you," She paused, trying to stop the tears that threaten to fall from falling, "She seemed so invested in you and I's relationship...it's hard to believe."
I take her hand, placing a soft kiss on the back, "I know, Ta. I'm sorry."
She intertwined our fingers, sitting our hands on the console, "I just....I don't understand being on good terms with Paige either."
I sigh, "She didn't do much. She didn't help them; she didn't help us. She just got...stuck, I guess."
She shakes her head, a laugh escapes her lips, "I just can't believe she didn't say anything to you."
"I wish she would've, but she broke up with....her," Not wanting to say her name, "It doesn't make up everything, but at least she knew to break it off."
"I don't know what I'm gonna do," I sit and just listen, "We were roommates. I can't go back."
I nod, "You'll stay with me, or we can get our own place or something," She looks into my eyes, reading her emotions as if it was the most obvious thing ever.
"I can't do tha-" I cut her off.
"Why not? Paige and I will go get all your stuff from your old dorm, bring it to my place. You'll stay with the team and I until we can get our own place. Just me and you," Something in her eyes shifted, she almost seemed happy.
"I just-" I hold my hand up, gaining a small chuckle from my girlfriend.
"I want you to stay with me, I want to get our own place, I want you."
Her smile grew, the biggest smile I've ever seen, "I love you, Nika."
"I love you too, Tate."

Tate POV
Paige in the back of the car wasn't bothering me as much as before. After Nika making me feel better, I couldn't have been happier. Us. Together. In our place. U-Haul lesbians at their finest.
Nika's hand never left mine, rubbing soft circles with her thumb. She'd look over at me occasionally, to send me a big, goofy smile. I'd send one back, causing her to snicker.
"So, what movie you wanna watch, bebo?" Nika ask, opening my door.
"I have no clue," I say, taking her hand in mine.
She looks down at me, my knees feel weak. She smiles, "You okay, baby?"
"Mhmm," I nod, red tinting my cheeks.
"Is she okay?" Paige asked, making both Nika and I jump.
"God, P. I forgot you were with us," Nika says, intertwining our fingers back together.
"Uh, oh, I'm sorry," She scratches the back of her neck, awkward tension spewing from her body.
I sigh, I gotta get over this eventually, "Do you have a movie in mind Paige?"
Her eyes lit up, hurriedly looking down, "I might have an idea."
We made our way inside the theater, Paige offering to buy tickets. Of course, we let her, but we also bought the snacks. A drink for Nika and I to share, same with popcorn. Then, a drink and a popcorn for Paige. Once we collected all or things, Paige ran up to us, holding tickets.
"Okay, I think you guys are gonna like this movie," She says, waving the tickets around.
Nika and I share a look, "What is it, P?"
Paige smiled, "The new Hunger Games movie!"
I laugh, "That doesn't sound too bad."
Nika smiles, "Alright, let's go watch this movie."

Nika POV
Tate sat between Paige and I, her leaning more on me. Her head glued to my shoulder, her hand holding mine, and all I could do was smile. Honestly, the tension between Tate and Paige seemed to be dissipating. Which was a good sign, whether Tate fully forgave Paige or not. I'd make it up to her later, I always do.
"I'm tired," Tate whispered, pulling me from my thoughts.
"What is it, pretty girl?"
I felt her smile grow on my shoulder, smiling to myself, "I'm tired, niks."
I sighed, kissing her head, "Bebo, we're never gonna watch a full movie with you, are we?"
She shook her head, I laughed, "I love you, niks."
"Are you actually going to sleep?"
She nodded, "Okay, okay. I love you, Ta."
I sat there, watching the movie as Tate slept on my shoulder. I felt a nudge come from Paige.
"What is it?"
"You think she would hear me out if I told her what happened? You know, between Ava and I?"
I thought for a second, "Maybe."
"Do you think I should try?"
I nod, "Of course, P. Plus, she'll come around eventually. Don't be yourself over it."
Paige nodded, sitting back in her seat. The movie ended up being pretty good. Tate not knowing due to the fact she was asleep the whole movie.
"Guys," Tate pulls both of our attentions, "I think I just wanna go back to your dorms."
I pull her into a hug, "Of course, we'll go there now."
"Hey, Tate?" Paige said, stopping both Tate and I in our tracks.
"Yes, Paige?"
"I'm sorry. I really am. I shouldn't have let the situation get to where it was," She paused, "I promise I would've said something if it wasn't for Ava."
"What do you mean?" Tate asked.
"Can I tell you everything on the way back to our dorms, please?"
I look at Tate, she was already looking at me. Almost as if we had a whole conversation just between us, she nods.
"You have til the end of the drive to explain everything. And I mean EVERYTHING."
A/N: Y'all everything is getting ready to get explained, at least most of it. Also, Ava is literally the worst person and expect her to die eventually.
