Jungkook and Jaybum had carved out a simple yet structured life in their grand mansion. Despite their wealth, their daily routine was surprisingly modest and quietâjust the way they liked it.
Jungkookâs mornings began at 6: 00 AM sharp. A creature of discipline, he would head straight to his private gym, dedicating an hour to rigorous exercise. Whether it was weightlifting, cardio, or a calming yoga session, Jungkook valued the consistency of keeping his body and mind sharp.
Meanwhile, Jaybumâs day started a little later. The little boy was an early riser by nature, his internal clock waking him at 7 :00 AM almost on the dot. Heâd shuffle out of his room in his dinosaur pajamas, his tiny feet pattering against the polished floors as he sought out his father.
The Jeon household was noticeably quiet compared to others of similar stature.
This was largely due to Jaybumâs aversion to having too many people in his space. The lively little boy, while social with those he trusted, disliked the constant bustle of strangers moving through the mansion.
Jungkook respected this,as he liked it this way too. limiting the presence of staff to only what was necessary.
A maid would arrive each eating hours to prepare and serve food .
Once breakfast was over, the house would quiet down even more. Jaybum would typically spend his time with a babysitter, playing with his toys or running through the mansionâs spacious backyard. Though he never really liked his babysitters. On some days, heâd visit his grandparents, who doted on him endlessly.
For Jungkook, the hours after breakfast were reserved for work. Calls, meetings, and endless paperwork occupied his time, leaving him little room for distractions.
But today was different. Today, a new presence was stepping into their carefully curated lives. Taehyungâs arrival marked the start of a change, one that Jungkook wasnât entirely prepared for.
Still, the thought of Jaybum smiling again, even if it was because of *him,* was enough to convince Jungkook to give it a shot.
On the other hand,
The morning came quicker than Taehyung anticipated. At 5: 30 sharp, his alarm buzzed loudly, pulling him out of his peaceful slumber.
With a groggy stretch and a yawn, he sat up, letting the early morning light peek through his curtains.
âFirst day,â he mumbled to himself, shaking off the sleepiness.
Determined not to be late, Taehyung started his routine. A quick shower and some skincare later, he stood in front of the mirror, pulling on a simple yet polished outfit.
He chose a light blue shirt and beige trousers, hoping to strike the balance between approachable and professional.
As he poured over the details Namjoon had sent him the night before, Taehyung double-checked the address of the Jeon mansion. It wasnât farâabout 20 minutes
by car. Still, he left earlier than necessary.
By 6: 30, Taehyung was ready to leave. He grabbed his leather bag, tossing in a notebook, some snacks for Jaybum if needed, and a few essentials he thought might be useful. Just as he was stepping out of the door, Yoongi called out from the kitchen, holding up a piece of toast.
âBreakfast? You canât show up starving on your first day,â Yoongi said, his tone almost scolding.
Taehyung laughed softly, shaking his head. âHyung, itâs way too early for me to eat. Iâll grab something later.â
Yoongi sighed, his expression unreadable. âFine. Donât come crying to me when your stomach growls in front of that alpha.â
Taehyung rolled his eyes at the teasing, pulling on his coat. âIâll be fine, Hyung. Donât wait up for me. Youâve got music to finish.â
With that, he stepped outside, the crisp morning air refreshing against his skin. He took a deep breath to steady himself.
The drive to the Jeon mansion was quiet, the roads mostly empty at this hour. As he pulled up to the grand gates, his nerves flared slightly. *This is it.*
The gates opened slowly, revealing a sprawling estate surrounded by lush greenery. Taehyung marveled at the pristine landscaping as he drove up the long driveway.
By the time he reached the front door, it was 6: 50. He stepped out, clutching his bag tightly, and walked up to the imposing entrance.
Taehyung stood outside the grand door, the slight chill of the early morning brushing against his skin as he reached out to press the doorbell.
The soft chime echoed, and within moments, the door creaked open to reveal none other than Jungkook himself.
The alpha stood there, dressed in a plain black tee and sweatpants, his post-workout appearance exuding an effortless confidence.
His sharp eyes landed on Taehyung, and for a brief moment, silence hung between them like an invisible thread.
"You're early," Jungkook finally broke the quiet, his tone casual but his piercing gaze lingering on Taehyung as though assessing him.
Taehyung straightened his posture, refusing to be intimidated. "I thought it'd be better than being late," he replied, his voice steady, matching Jungkookâs energy.
Jungkook gave a curt nod and stepped aside, holding the door open. "Come in," he said simply.
Taehyung entered the mansion, his eyes scanning the spacious yet oddly cozy interior. It was quiet, just as heâd imagined, with the faint hum of the early morning adding to the calm atmosphere.
"Jaybum is in his room upstairs," Jungkook spoke again, gesturing toward the grand staircase. "He's probably awake by now."
"Got it," Taehyung responded with a nod, his tone professional.
"Our maid should arrive soon to cook breakfast," Jungkook continued, leaning casually against the doorway. "Itâd be best if you help Jaybum freshen up before then. I need to get ready for the office myself."
"Understood," Taehyung said, keeping his tone neutral.
For the first time, neither of them felt the need to argue or assert dominance. Perhaps it was the early hour, or maybe the unspoken understanding that today was about Jaybum, not them.
Either way, they both opted for an unusual truce, if only for the sake of convenience.
With a final nod, Taehyung headed toward the staircase, his steps light yet purposeful. Jungkook watched him for a moment longer before turning away, heading toward his own routine.
Taehyung gently pushed open the door Jungkook had pointed out, his steps careful as though not to disturb the peaceful atmosphere.
His eyes landed on the little figure sprawled across the large bed. Jaybum was cocooned in his blankets, his tiny frame slightly scrunched up as he rubbed his eyes groggily, clearly just waking up.
A soft smile tugged at Taehyungâs lips as he stepped inside, the sight of Jaybum's fluffy bedhead and sleepy pout melting away any lingering nervousness he had about his first day.
"Good morning, Jaybum," Taehyung greeted softly, his voice gentle yet warm.
Jaybum blinked up at him, his doe eyes widening as recognition dawned. "Tae Tae!" he exclaimed, his grogginess vanishing in an instant. He sat up in bed, his arms immediately reaching out for Taehyung.
Taehyung chuckled, stepping closer to the bed and crouching down to Jaybum's level. "Looks like someoneâs excited to see me," he teased, ruffling the boy's already messy hair.
Jaybum nodded enthusiastically, wrapping his little arms around Taehyungâs neck as soon as he was close enough. "I missed you, Tae Tae," he mumbled, his voice muffled against Taehyung's shoulder.
Taehyung's heart clenched at the sheer affection in the boyâs gesture. "I missed you too, buddy," he replied sincerely, hugging him back.
"Letâs get you ready for the day," Taehyung said softly, his voice gentle as he moved closer to Jaybumâs bed.
"Okay, TaeTae!" Jaybum exclaimed, his sleepy demeanor quickly disappearing as excitement bubbled up inside him.
Taehyung smiled as Jaybum bounced in his bed, his little body curling up and stretching at the same time. Taehyung could feel the energy shift from the little oneâs sadness to eagerness.
âYes, we have to brush our teeth, get ready, and then weâll eat breakfast! You need to fill up that tummy!â
As Taehyung began to tickle him lightly, Jaybum laughed, his giggles filling the room. But soon, the playful smile faded, and his mood seemed to dim once again.
"No, TaeTae," Jaybum said, his small hands clutching Taehyung's shirt as he looked up at him with big, sad eyes. "I donât want to eat breakfast."
Taehyung paused, brushing a stray strand of hair from Jaybumâs forehead. "Oh no, why not?" he asked, his voice full of concern.
Jaybum pouted slightly "Why donât you want to be strong like your dadda?" Taehyung said in a playful tone, ruffling Jaybumâs hair.
Jaybum scrunched his face a little, his bottom lip poking out in a pout. "I want to... but... but noonaâs food is so blank," he said with a sigh. "I donât like her food. And dadda doesnât either."
Taehyungâs heart melted at the sadness in Jaybumâs voice. He could see how much the little one truly cared, and it struck a chord with him.
Taehyung sat down next to him on the bed, gently patting his head.
"Well, what if we cook something together?" he suggested, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "Something yummy, just for you. I promise, itâll taste better than anything ."
Jaybumâs face lit up instantly. His eyes sparkled as if a thousand stars had been ignited in them.
"Really?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.
Taehyung smiled and nodded. "Of course! We'll make it our special breakfast today. You and me, together."
Jaybum clapped his tiny hands, bouncing a little on the bed. "Yay! Letâs cook!"
