Taehyung tightened his grip on his phone as he stood in the small but cozy kitchen, the sound of a sizzling pan filling the silence.

His voice was steady, though his mind was racing with thoughts of the new chapter they had begun.

“Hyung, yes, we’ve reached. We’re unpacking our stuff,” Taehyung said, glancing around at the boxes still littering the apartment.

“Let me know if you guys want anything. I’ll be coming to your house tonight,” Namjoon’s familiar voice replied, a calming anchor amid the chaos.

Taehyung hesitated before speaking again, the faint hum of the stove barely masking the weight in his voice.

“Joon Hyung, can you please look out for a job for me? I’ve already tried enough on my own.”

Namjoon’s response came quickly, almost as if he’d been anticipating the request. “Job? You know Yoongi and I can handle things. You don’t have to.”

“No, hyung. I’m literally 125 years old,I’ll get bored if I just sit around. Let me work,” Taehyung sighed, his tone firm yet laced with exasperation.

Namjoon’s reluctant agreement was tinged with concern. “Fine. I’ll talk to my boss then. He’s hiring more employees at our office. I’m sure he’ll take you in.”

“What? No, hyung! You don’t have to pull strings for me. Just give me the time and details for the interview, and I’ll handle it myself,” Taehyung countered, determined to prove himself.

Namjoon relented with a soft chuckle. “Ugh, okay, fine. I’ll send you the details.”

The call ended, and Taehyung let out a breath, turning his attention back to the meal he was preparing.

He stirred the pot, the familiar act grounding him, when Yoongi strolled into the kitchen, his expression a mix of curiosity and amusement.

“What are you cooking?” Yoongi asked, leaning casually against the counter. “You know we don’t eat that much, Tae. Blood is enough.”

Taehyung rolled his eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. “Come on, hyung. We still need to eat something. And don’t forget,we have to go out hunting tonight.”

Yoongi nodded, his pale fingers ruffling Taehyung’s hair with a fondness only an older brother figure could provide.

“Yeah, you’re right. It’s been almost a week since we hunted any animals, and we’re running low on blood. We don’t want to hunt humans now, do we?”

The light chuckle in his voice contrasted with the seriousness of their reality. Taehyung smiled softly, nodding as the bond between them one forged in shared struggles and an unconventional family remained unspoken but deeply felt.

Tonight, they’d hunt. Tomorrow, Taehyung would take another step toward building a new life in Seoul. The city buzzed with opportunity.

Centuries ago, the mere sight of a vampire or a werewolf could ignite a war. The two species were natural enemies, driven by instinctual hatred.

They lived on opposite ends of the world, their paths never meant to cross. Vampires despised the scent of wolves, and werewolves  abhorred the cold, undead presence of vampires.

But as centuries passed, the tide shifted. The world changed, and so did its creatures. Slowly but surely, vampires and werewolves began to mix, some even forming alliances.

Though lingering prejudice still existed in the shadows, outright conflict was now a thing of the past. The world of creatures had achieved a fragile peace.

Amid this evolving landscape were Yoongi and Taehyung. They weren’t related by family, but their connection was as unbreakable as any shared by brothers.

Yoongi had been just ten years old when Mr. Kim found him in a cold, desolate orphanage. A quiet child with piercing eyes, he had been lost in a world that had already given up on him.

Mr. Kim, a kind but stern vampire, had taken him in, raising him alongside his own son, Taehyung. From that day on, Yoongi and Taehyung became inseparable.

Taehyung, born of a werewolf mother and vampire father, had inherited only his father’s traits. His sharp fangs and alabaster skin marked him as a vampire through and through.

Together, Taehyung and Yoongi grew up in the Kim household, their bond becoming stronger than anything fate could have predicted.  Though Yoongi's surname remained as a Min by Mr Kim's choice.

As vampires, blood was essential to their survival. But they had strict rules.

Drinking human blood or the blood of other shapeshifters was forbidden unless freely offered. Taehyung and Yoongi abided by this code without question. It was a matter of principle, a line they refused to cross.

Instead, they hunted animals, a compromise that allowed them to sustain their strength without compromising their values.

The blood of animals wasn’t as potent as that of humans, and it didn’t last as long, but it was enough to survive.

Even now, as adults navigating the bustling streets of Seoul, they held to these principles.

Taehyung, with his calm demeanor and quiet strength, often took the lead. Yoongi, sharp and observant, stood by his side like a shadow.

Their bond was unspoken but unyielding, forged in years of trust, hardship, and understanding.
