And before Jungkook could process what had just happened, Taehyung spun on his heel and dashed out of the mansion, his face a deep shade of red.

Jungkook stood there, frozen, his fingers brushing the spot where Taehyung’s lips had just been. His heart thundered in his chest, the warmth of the moment spreading through him.

He let out a breathless chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. “what..... just happened.”

The very next day,

Jungkook’s fingers danced swiftly across the keyboard, his mind entirely consumed by his work.

The sound of his phone vibrating on the desk barely registered until he glanced at the screen. His typing paused as his gaze caught the name flashing on the display: "Taehyung 🦇."

A faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he quickly answered the call, cradling the phone between his ear and shoulder while his fingers resumed their rhythmic typing.

"Hello?" Jungkook said, his tone warm yet focused.

"Jungkook, I’m sorry if I disturbed you, but…" Taehyung's soft voice came through, hesitating slightly. Jungkook could hear faint cheering in the background, unmistakably Jaybum’s energetic voice. "Jaybum was saying if he could come to your office right now?"

Jungkook’s lips quirked into a grin as he imagined the little boy's excited face. From the muffled shouts of "Dadda! Dadda!" in the background, it seemed Jaybum was beyond thrilled at the idea.

"Yeah, sure," Jungkook replied, leaning back in his chair as he glanced at the progress bar on his screen. "I’m not that busy."

He was almost done anyway, and a visit from Jaybum and Taehyung sounded like a welcome distraction.

"Okay, then we’ll be there soon," Taehyung said with a smile audible in his voice before hanging up.

Jungkook placed his phone back on the desk, leaning back as a soft chuckle escaped him.

It wasn’t even half an hour later when Taehyung and Jaybum stepped into the elevator of Jungkook’s office building.

Jaybum was perched on Taehyung’s hip, babbling animatedly about something that had them both giggling. Taehyung pressed the button for the 14th floor, ruffling Jaybum’s hair as he nodded along to the little boy’s cheerful ramblings.

By the time they reached Jungkook’s office, Jaybum wiggled out of Taehyung’s arms, eager to show off his independence. He knocked on the door, just as Taehyung had taught him —a small habit that Jaybum took pride in remembering.

From inside, a deep voice called out, “Come in!”

Jaybum wasted no time, pushing the door open and rushing inside. “Dadda!” he squealed, throwing himself into Jungkook’s arms.

Jungkook grinned, catching Jaybum effortlessly and spinning him around. “Hey, buddy! Missed me already?”

Taehyung followed, his eyes crinkling in amusement as he watched the duo. But before he could say anything, a playful voice interrupted the moment.

“Wow, I see how it is,” Jimin said dramatically from across the room, where he was seated on the couch. “No one loves me. I’m completely invisible.”

Jaybum gasped as if Jimin’s words were the gravest offense. He squirmed out of Jungkook’s arms and ran over to Jimin, wrapping his tiny arms around him. “No, Uncle Chimmy! I love you, I really do!”

The room filled with laughter at Jaybum’s innocent sincerity, even as Jungkook and Taehyung shared a quick glance. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment before they both looked away, pretending to be occupied with something else.

It was still fresh—yesterday’s kiss. Neither of them had brought it up again, both too flustered to address it. They moved through the motions, trying to keep things professional. But how long could they keep this pretense? Only time would tell.

“Alright, Kook,” Jimin said, rising from his seat after a final glance at the documents on the desk. “Finalize the deal, and I’ll handle the rest later.”

“Got it,” Jungkook replied, leaning back in his chair as Jimin ruffled Jaybum’s hair in passing.  Giving Taehyung a small smile before leaving.

Jaybum was already engrossed in exploring Jungkook’s desk, his tiny hands reaching for papers and pens like they were treasures.

Taehyung watched with a soft smile, but something caught his attention as Jimin made his way to the door.

“Jungkook, I’m so sorry,” Taehyung said suddenly, turning toward him. “Can you look after Jaybum for a bit? I’ll be right back.”

Before Jungkook could respond, Taehyung grabbed Jaybum’s bag from his shoulder and handed it over. “Here, this has everything he might need—snacks, water, a change of clothes.”

“Taehyung, wait—” Jungkook began, but Taehyung was already rushing out the door.

“I’ll be back soon!” Taehyung called over his shoulder as he hurried after Jimin, leaving Jungkook staring after him with Jaybum’s bag in hand.

Jungkook sighed, looking down at Jaybum, who was now gleefully pretending to stamp papers on the desk. “Looks like it’s just you and me, buddy.”

“Yay!” Jaybum cheered, completely unbothered by the sudden change of plans.

Jungkook chuckled softly, but his thoughts lingered on Taehyung. Why had he rushed out so suddenly? And more importantly…

when would they finally address the unspoken tension that had been brewing between them?

Taehyung hurried out of Jungkook’s office, his thoughts racing as he followed the faint trail of Jimin’s scent down the corridor.

It wasn’t long before he spotted the omega stepping into his cabin, the door closing behind him. Taehyung quickened his pace, his heart thudding with a mix of concern and curiosity.

Before Jimin could fully shut the door, Taehyung slipped inside, his voice soft but urgent. “Chim! We need to talk.”

Jimin spun around, startled by Taehyung’s sudden appearance. “Tae? What’s going on?” he asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.

“Let’s sit down,” Taehyung suggested, gesturing toward the couch in the corner of the room. Jimin hesitated but nodded, leading the way.

Once seated, Taehyung wasted no time. “Are you alright, Chim? You’ve been acting strange today,” he asked, his sharp eyes scanning Jimin’s expression.

Jimin laughed nervously, avoiding Taehyung’s gaze. “I’m fine, Tae. Really. You’re imagining things.”

But Taehyung wasn’t convinced. He leaned forward, his voice soft but firm.

“Chim, your scent… it’s different today. Sweeter than usual.”

Though Jimin was always on scent blockers Taehyung knew his scent. He've visited Jimin thus he pick it up.

Jimin froze, his nervous laughter faltering. “Sweet? Tae, you’re probably overthinking. Maybe it’s a new cologne or—”

“Don’t lie to me,” Taehyung interrupted, his tone gentle but unwavering. “You know I’m a vampire, right? I can sense these things. Are you…” He hesitated for a moment, searching Jimin’s face for clues. “Are you pregnant?”

Jimin’s eyes widened in shock, his face flushing a deep crimson. “Pregnant?! Tae, no! Why would you even think that?”

“You smell sweet, Chim,” Taehyung said, crossing his arms. “And omegas tend to smell sweeter when—”

“I know, I know!” Jimin interrupted, his hands flying up in defense. He sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. “Tae, I swear I’m not pregnant.”

Taehyung’s gaze softened. “Then what is it? You know you can tell me anything, right?”

For a moment, Jimin was silent, his hands fiddling with the hem of his shirt. Finally, he took a deep breath, his voice barely above a whisper. “I......i...found my mate.”

The words hit Taehyung like a tidal wave. His eyes widened, and his jaw dropped as he processed the revelation. “WHAT?! You found your mate?!”

Jimin flinched at the volume of Taehyung’s voice but couldn’t help but smile at his friend’s reaction. “Yes, Tae. I found my mate.”

“When? How? Who?!” Taehyung’s excitement bubbled over as he grabbed Jimin’s hands.

“This is amazing! Chim, I’m so happy for you!”

Jimin chuckled, his cheeks still flushed. “It happened recently. I was going to tell you, but I wasn’t sure how you’d react.”

Taehyung’s smile faltered slightly as he tilted his head. “Why wouldn’t I be happy for you, Chim? Wait… is that why you were avoiding me earlier?”

“I wasn’t avoiding you!” Jimin protested, though his flushed cheeks betrayed him. “It’s just… it’s about my mate.”

Taehyung leaned closer, his curiosity piqued. “What about them? Are they someone I know?”

Jimin hesitated, chewing on his bottom lip before muttering, “It’s… your brother.......Yoongi.”
