Taehyung blinked, his excitement morphing into pure shock. "Hyung?" he whispered, his voice cracking slightly.

Jimin nodded, his gaze dropping to the floor. "Yes. Yoongi. Your brother."

For a moment, Taehyung sat frozen, his mind trying to process the information. But then his body seemed to give out, and he slumped back onto the couch, his vision going dark.

"TAE!" Jimin shouted, catching him just before he could hit the floor. He gently eased Taehyung onto the couch, his panic rising as he grabbed a glass of water from the desk. Sprinkling it over Taehyung's face, he muttered, "Come on, Tae. Don't scare me like this."

Taehyung's eyes fluttered open a moment later, and he groaned, sitting up slowly. "Did I just faint?"

"Yes, you idiot!" Jimin scolded, though his relief was evident as he handed Taehyung the glass of water.

As the memories of their conversation came rushing back, Taehyung's eyes widened again. "You're... hyung's mate?"

"Yes," Jimin admitted, his voice soft.

To Jimin's surprise, Taehyung suddenly lunged forward, wrapping him in a tight hug. "Thank you," Taehyung whispered, his voice trembling. "Thank you for coming into my hyung's life."

Jimin smiled, his own eyes watering as he hugged Taehyung back. "I feel lucky too, Tae. Yoongi is... he's amazing. I don't know how I got so lucky."

Taehyung pulled back, his hands gripping Jimin's shoulders as he beamed at him. "Hyung doesn't show it, but I know he's always wanted a mate. And you... you're perfect for him."

Jimin laughed, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. "You're too sappy, Tae. Stop it before you make me cry too."

Taehyung joined in the laughter but quickly turned serious again. "I mean it, Chim. You'll be amazing for him."

Jimin's teasing grin returned as he quipped, "Yah! Why did you faint then? You scared me half to death! I thought you weren't happy about it."

Taehyung laughed, shaking his head. "Hell no! I was so happy that my body just... couldn't handle it."

The two burst into laughter again, the tension finally melting away.

Taehyung leaned forward, his curiosity piqued as he stared at Jimin, who sat across from him with a shy smile. "So, Chim, how did it happen? How did you find out about each other?"

Jimin hesitated for a moment, his cheeks tinting pink at the memory.

"Well..."

It all started yesterday when Jimin went to Yoongi's place.Supposedly, it was to listen to Agust D's new track, but..."

**Flashback**

The evening was calm, the hum of the city outside barely audible through the thick windows of Yoongi's place.

Jimin stood at the door, his heartbeat quickening as he adjusted the scent-blocking locket around his neck. It was a precaution he always took, but tonight, for some reason, it felt heavier.

"Come in," Yoongi greeted, his deep voice carrying warmth as he stepped aside to let Jimin enter.

The younger man walked in, clutching a small bag of snacks. He glanced around the apartment, his eyes landing on the large TV screen where a countdown for Agust D's new music video was displayed.

"Do you want something to eat?" Yoongi asked, already heading toward the kitchen.

"Just some water, please," Jimin replied, his voice soft as he set the snacks on the coffee table.

When Yoongi returned, he placed a glass of water and a bowl of chips on the table before settling down beside Jimin on the couch. The proximity made Jimin's heart race, but he quickly turned his focus to the screen.

"Gosh, I can't wait!" Jimin exclaimed, his excitement bubbling over as the countdown neared its end. "Just a few seconds left!"

Yoongi chuckled at the younger man's enthusiasm, his gaze lingering on Jimin's side profile.

He had always noticed something different about Jimin-his warmth, his kindness, his inexplicable pull-but tonight, it felt stronger.

"Five! Four! Three! Two! One!" Jimin counted down, his voice filled with anticipation.

The screen lit up with the opening notes of the track, the visuals captivating and unlike anything Agust D had done before. It was a romantic song, something entirely out of character for the enigmatic rapper.

"My Muse," Jimin whispered, reading the title aloud as he leaned closer to the screen.

A song about love at first sight ~

Yoongi's grip on his juice tightened as he stole another glance at Jimin, his expression unreadable.

As the song ended, Jimin sat back, his chest rising and falling with a deep breath. “Wow…” he murmured, his voice shaky.

“So?” Yoongi asked, his tone casual but his eyes betraying his nerves. “What did you think?”

Jimin turned to him, his gaze steady. “Hyung,” he said, his voice firmer now. “You’re Agust D, aren’t you?”

Yoongi’s body stiffened, his eyes darting away. “What are you talking about?” he muttered, his tone defensive.

“I’m not stupid, hyung,” Jimin pressed. “That song—it has the same melody as the one I heard you playing the first time I came here.”

“You’re imagining things,” Yoongi replied quickly, taking a sip of his juice to avoid Jimin’s piercing gaze. “A lot of artists use similar melodies.”

Jimin shook his head, leaning closer. “Your eyes,” he said softly. “They’re the same as his. Eyes don’t lie, Hyung.”

Yoongi remained silent, his jaw tightening.

“Why are you hiding it?” Jimin asked, his tone gentle. “You’re so talented, Yoongi. People would love you just the way you are.”

Yoongi finally turned to face him, his eyes darker, more intense. “yeah?  why are you hiding that you’re my mate, Jimin?”

The question hit Jimin like a freight train. His breath caught in his throat, and his hands trembled in his lap. “I… I’m not hiding,” he whispered.

Yoongi stood, his frustration evident as he paced the room. “If you didn’t want me as your mate, you could’ve just said so,” he said, his voice laced with hurt. “You didn’t have to wear scent blockers.”

“Wait, Hyung!” Jimin exclaimed, jumping to his feet. “It’s not like that! I wore scent blockers for my own safety, not to avoid you.”

Yoongi stopped, his eyes searching Jimin’s face for the truth.

“When I first realized you were my mate, I was scared,” Jimin admitted, tears welling up in his eyes. “I thought I’d wait for the right moment to tell you. I didn’t want to rush things or make you uncomfortable.”

Yoongi’s expression softened as he stepped closer, pulling Jimin into a gentle embrace. “I thought you didn’t want me,” he murmured, his voice barely audible.

Jimin broke down in his arms, his tears soaking Yoongi’s shirt. “I’m sorry,” he sobbed. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”

“Shh,” Yoongi soothed, rubbing Jimin’s back. “It’s okay. I was just overthinking, too.”

When Jimin calmed down, Yoongi pulled back slightly, wiping the tears from his cheeks. “Are you alright now?” he asked gently.

Jimin nodded, sniffling. “But, Hyung, how did you know I was your mate? I’ve always worn scent blockers.”

Yoongi chuckled, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Remember the second time you came over? You brought a magazine with you.”

Jimin frowned, confused. “What about it?”

“The magazine carried your scent,” Yoongi explained. “That’s when I knew.”

Jimin stared at him in disbelief before groaning. “You could’ve just told me then! I thought you didn’t like me as your mate.”

Yoongi laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Maybe we were both a little dumb.”

Jimin couldn’t help but laugh along, the tension finally dissolving between them.

**End of Flashback**

Taehyung stared at Jimin with wide eyes, his jaw practically on the floor. “You mean to tell me you two spent months dancing around each other because of assumptions?”

Jimin shrugged sheepishly. “I guess we’re both a little clueless.”

Taehyung shook his head, a fond smile spreading across his face. “Well, I’m glad you both figured it out. Yoongi deserves someone like you, Chim. And I know you’ll make each other happy.”

Jimin grinned, his heart full. “Thanks, Tae. That means a lot.”

" but damn you guys are fast ! Already marked! Not that I'm complaining." Taehyung said dramatically.

Jimin just hit him in the mars playfully.

"Anyways Chim i should head back Jaybum must be waiting." Taehyung said getting up already.
