Jaybumâs POV:
You all probably think it was fate, destiny that brought Dadda and TaeTae together. Well⦠youâre not entirely wrong, but let me tell you somethingâyouâre not entirely right either.
Because you see, it wasnât just destiny.
It was me.
Yes, me, the one and only Jaybum! The mastermind, the secret matchmaker, the one pulling all the strings behind the scenes.
Let me take you back to the beginning. You thought TaeTae found me in that alley, didnât you? Nope! It was me who spotted him. The moment I saw him, my instincts screamed that he was the one.
So, I did what I had toâI cried and pretended I was lost, knowing he would come to me. I mean, who could resist my big, teary eyes and adorable face? Certainly not TaeTae.
You might wonder how I knew. Well, let me tell you a secret.
My momâmy biological momâwas blessed by the moon goddess, and it seems she passed some of her blessings on to me.
Now, I too carry a blessing. Like the moon goddess herself, I have a purpose: to bring the fated ones together.
At first, I didnât know TaeTae and Dadda were mates. Iâm still young and donât know much about mates yet. But I had dreamsâvisions, actuallyâof TaeTae. I saw him before I even met him. In those dreams, I just *knew* he was meant for Dadda. How could I not step in and make it happen? Afterall ,dadda was my everything.
But letâs not forget how much Dadda hated vampires back then. He wouldâve never gone near TaeTae willingly. Thatâs why I went to Uncle Chimmy first.
Uncle Chimmy has a way of convincing people, and it worked like a charm. Soon enough, TaeTae became my babysitter.
But oh, you donât know how much work I had to put in to stop their endless bickering. My goodness, it was exhausting. Every day it was âJeon, youâre an idiot!â
or âKim, shut up!â Still, I was determined to make them see what they couldnât.
Do you remember the day at the park? When I made those flower rings and told Dadda to put one on TaeTaeâs finger? That was all part of the plan! TaeTae turned into a blushing mess, and I couldnât stop laughing.
And yes, I admit Iâve said a few unexpected things here and there, like when I talked about wanting my dadda to marry TaeTae in front of everyone.
Sorry not sorry but Dadda choking on his drink was totally worth it, though.
And letâs not forget today at the photobooth. Leaving them alone there? Genius, right? I could practically hear TaeTaeâs heartbeat from where I stood.
Now, donât get me wrong. I was nervous too. Even though TaeTae was meant for Dadda, there was always a chance he wouldnât be a good person. But TaeTae proved me wrong. Heâs amazing, kind, and loves me so much. I couldnât have asked for a better parent.
Maybe my biological parents aren't here anymore but i guess moon goodness really blessed me with dadda and TaeTae......
Speaking of which...⦠what do I call TaeTae now? Dad? Papa? No, *Appa*! Yes, Appa sounds perfect.
But hey, my job isnât done yet! Theyâre together now, sure, but theyâre not married. How can I rest until I see them exchange vows? And donât even get me started on siblings.
Iâve decided I want oneâpreferably a vampire sibling. How cool would that be?
Oh, and yes, I know how babies are made. You hold hands, kiss your partner, and pray to the moon goddess. She blesses you with a baby. Easy, right? See, Iâm a genius!
Dadda and TaeTae still have a long journey ahead, but Iâll be there every step of the way. What about you?
**End of Jaybumâs POV.**
As Jaybum stood by the doorway, grinning to himself and watching his handiwork unfold, a familiar voice called out from the other side of the house.
âJaybum, where are you, bun?â Jinâs gentle voice echoed down the hall.
Jaybum turned, stealing one last glance at the balcony where his Dadda and Appa stood under the moonlight. He smiled, satisfied that his plan was finally taking shape.
He padded softly away from the doorway and tugged on Jinâs clothes from behind.
âUh, here you are!â Jin said with a relieved sigh, crouching down to his level. âDonât run off like that, bun. You scared me!â
âSorry, Uncle Jin,â Jaybum said, feigning innocence.
Jin ruffled his hair and scooped him up. âCome on, itâs time for more dessert. Letâs
leave the adults to their boring talks, huh?â
As Jin carried him away, Jaybum glanced back over Jinâs shoulder, grinning to himself.
Mission accomplished. For now.
But hey ,you have to keep our Jaybum's secret hidden okay?
The atmosphere in the mansion was calmer when Jungkook and Taehyung finally came back downstairs.
But while most of the guests were oblivious to the shift in their energy, Yoongi and Namjoon noticed immediately. Taehyungâs face was slightly flushed, and the faint streaks of dried tears on his cheeks didnât go unnoticed.
Yoongi was the first to approach, his brows furrowed in concern.
âTae, what happened?â he asked, his voice low but firm as he gently grabbed Taehyungâs arm. Namjoon stood just behind him, his own worry evident as he glanced
between Taehyung and Jungkook.
âYeah, you okay? You look like youâve been crying,â Namjoon added, softer this time.
Taehyung looked at both of them, his lips curving into the smallest smile. He bit the inside of his cheek, as if trying to hold back the emotions that were still swirling inside him. Finally, he spoke. âHyungâ¦â he started softly. âI found him.â
Yoongi blinked, his grip on Taehyungâs arm loosening slightly. âWhat?â
Taehyungâs smile widened a bit more, and he glanced briefly at Jungkook, who stood a little behind him with Jaybum now nestled in his arms. âI found my mate,â Taehyung said, voice trembling just slightly with the weight of the words.
For a moment, the room felt still. Yoongiâs eyes widened, and Namjoon, always composed, looked genuinely surprised. But then their expressions melted into something else entirelyâpure happiness.
âNo way,â Yoongi said, though his voice was filled with warmth, a faint smirk playing on his lips. âAbout damn time, Bear.â
Namjoon chuckled, shaking his head. âI knew it. I *knew* there was something there.â He looked at Jungkook, who avoided their teasing gazes by pretending to focus on Jaybum. âJeon Jungkook, you better take care of our bear,â Namjoon said, his tone only half-joking.
Jungkook finally looked up, a small, shy smile tugging at his lips. âI will. You have my word, hyung.â
âGood.â Yoongi smirked, folding his arms. âOtherwise, youâll have to deal with me.â
Taehyung rolled his eyes at their dramatics, but he couldnât stop smiling. For the first time in a long while, everything felt⦠right.
