The night stretched on, laughter echoing through the mansion as the remaining guests enjoyed the celebrations.
But Jaybum, the little bundle of energy, had finally lost the battle against sleep. His small figure lay curled up in Jungkookâs arms, his tiny hand gripping the collar of Jungkookâs shirt even in his dreams.
âHyung, Iâll walk Jungkook to the car,â Taehyung said quietly to Yoongi, who only nodded in response. The two of them slipped away unnoticed, the soft thud of their footsteps echoing through the quiet hall.
Outside, the night air was crisp and cool, the moon shining down on them like a silent witness to everything that had unfolded.
Jungkook moved carefully, opening the car door with one hand while balancing Jaybum with the other. Taehyung stepped closer, leaning in to help buckle the little boy into his car seat. Together, they worked silently, sharing a quiet moment of domestic peace.
Taehyung brushed a strand of hair from Jaybumâs face, smiling softly. âSleep tight, bun,â he whispered.
Jungkook closed the car door gently, taking extra care not to make a sound. When he turned around, he found Taehyung waiting, his expression soft but unreadable.
âIâll see you tomorrow?â Jungkook asked, stepping closer. His hand rose almost instinctively, cupping Taehyungâs cheek as if it were the most natural thing in the world. His thumb brushed lightly against the skin, tracing the faint warmth still lingering there.
Taehyung blinked up at him, hesitant. âKook, tomorrowâs the weekend. I promised Joon hyung Iâd help him clean his place,â he replied softly.
Jungkook sighed dramatically, his shoulders sagging a little. âI know⦠but Taeâ¦â He paused, his voice lowering to a whisper as his hand slid to Taehyungâs jaw.
âEven before, it was hard for me to stay away from you. But now⦠now that I know youâre my mate, I donât think I can stay away. I want you, Tae⦠in my arms, all the time.â
The honesty in Jungkookâs words sent a shiver down Taehyungâs spine. He looked down, biting his lip to hide the smile tugging at the corners.
âIâll⦠Iâll be at your place in the evening then?â Taehyung said, his heart so full it ached.
looking up at him with those big, expressive eyes that Jungkook couldnât resist.
Jungkookâs lips curled into a smile, relief washing over him. âDeal.â
For a moment, neither of them moved. The moonlight caught the soft gleam in Jungkookâs eyes as he stared at Taehyung, his heart so full it ached.
Jungkook turned to open the car door, ready to leave, but he froze in place when he heard Taehyungâs voice.
âJungkookâ¦â
He turned back, blinking in surprise. âYeah?â
Before Jungkook could process what was happening, Taehyung had closed the distance between them.
He grabbed Jungkookâs collar, pulling him down just enough to press a quick, soft kiss to his lips. It was briefâalmost fleetingâbut it sent Jungkookâs heart into overdrive.
Taehyung lingered for a second, his breath brushing against Jungkookâs lips. âDrive safe and call me when youâre home,â he whispered before pulling back and turning on his heel.
âTaeââ Jungkook started, but Taehyung was already running toward the mansion, his flushed face disappearing into the shadows of the doorway.
Jungkook stood there, frozen, his heart racing as his fingers reached up to touch his lips. A soft chuckle escaped him as he shook his head, a smile spreading across his face.
âSudden kisses, huh? I guess Iâll have to get used to thatâ¦â he murmured to himself, turning back toward the car.
Jungkook started the car, the engine rumbling softly as he pulled out of the driveway. As he glanced in the rearview mirror, the mansion grew smaller in the distance, but the warmth in his chest remained.
The same night,
The music flowed softly through the quiet of the mansion, a serene contrast to the whirlwind of emotions the night had brought.
Namjoon and Jin swayed gently in the center of the dimly lit room, their movements slow and deliberate, lost in their own little world as the chandelier above bathed them in a soft golden glow.
Namjoon held Jin close, his large hands resting gently on Jinâs waist. His gaze, deep and filled with longing, never left the man in front of him. Jin, with his perfectly tailored suit and soft features, looked radiantâalmost otherworldly under the lights.
âYou knowâ¦â Namjoon started, his voice a hushed murmur against the soft strains of the music, âyou look so ethereal under these lights.â
Jin chuckled, his eyes briefly flicking sideways as a faint blush crept across hischeeks. âI look ethereal all the time, Joon,â Jin replied, his voice laced with that trademark confidence that Namjoon adored so much.
Namjoon couldnât help but smile at Jinâs words. He leaned in just a little closer, his breath ghosting across Jinâs skin as his nose brushed along the curve of Jinâs cheek. The tenderness of the gesture made Jin momentarily hold his breath.
âI wish we never broke up before,â Namjoon whispered softly, his voice heavy with emotion. âI missed you so much, love.â
The sincerity of the words hung in the air, and for a moment, Jinâs expression softened.
But then, Namjoon pulled back just enough to meet Jinâs eyes, and a flicker of something darker passed through his gaze. His jaw tightened, his fists clenching slightly as he whispered, âI wish⦠that man was never my father.â
The bitterness in Namjoonâs voice was palpable, and Jin immediately recognized the shift. Namjoonâs hatred for his father was no secret. It was something he carried with him like a shadow, a weight that refused to leave him no matter how much he tried to move on.
Jinâs brows furrowed as he sensed the turmoil within Namjoon. Without hesitation, he cupped Namjoonâs face in his hands, gently forcing him to look at him. The warmth of Jinâs touch seemed to calm the storm within Namjoon, even if just for a moment.
âI said Iâd fix everything, didnât I?â Jinâs voice was firm, yet soothing. His gaze, steady and unwavering, held promises that Namjoon had long learned to trust.
Namjoon stared back at him, his shoulders relaxing slightly as he let out a quiet sigh. He nodded, the vulnerability in his eyes evident as he allowed Jinâs words to settle deep within him.
âThen just listen to me carefully, okay?â Jin continued, his thumb brushing over Namjoonâs cheek as if to ground him.
âKeep your eyes on the news tomorrow.â
Namjoon blinked, his brows knitting in confusion. âThe news?â he echoed softly, unsure of what Jin meant.
A small, knowing smile tugged at Jinâs lips as he leaned closer, his lips just grazing Namjoonâs ear. His voice dropped to a whisper, smooth and deliberate. âI have a big surprise for you.â
On the other hand,
Yoongi, Jimin, and Amy sat quietly around the table near the food court, but the peace didnât last long as Jimin began devouring plate after plate of food with alarming speed.
Yoongiâs brows furrowed in concern, watching Jimin eat as though he hadnât seen food in days.
âJimin, slow down! Youâre going to empty the whole mansion at this rate,â Yoongi finally said, his voice tinged with worry.
Jimin barely paused to glance at him before shoving another forkful of food into his mouth. âI donât know, hyung, but Iâm so hungry,â he mumbled through his bite, as though that explained everything.
âHungry or not, you need to give yourself a break, Chim!â Yoongi insisted, his voice firmer this time.
At Yoongiâs words, Jimin suddenly froze, his fork halfway to his mouth. His entire demeanor shifted in seconds as his expression dropped. Slowly, he placed his fork down, his movements stiff and deliberate, and then looked up at Yoongi with wide, glassy eyes.
âWhy, Yoongi?â Jiminâs voice wavered, and both Yoongi and Amy stared at him, completely confused. âWhy are you stopping me? Oh⦠ohâ¦â Jiminâs voice cracked, and he looked down at his hands as tears began welling up in his eyes. âIs it because⦠because Iâll get fat, and you wonât like me anymore?â
Yoongiâs face went slack with shock. âWhat?â he asked, completely dumbfounded, his voice rising with disbelief. âJimin, when did I ever say that?!â
âYou donât have to say it,â Jimin cried dramatically, tears now rolling down his cheeks. âI know thatâs what youâre thinking! Youâre just too nice to say it out loud!â His voice trembled as he pointed an accusing finger at Yoongi. âYou donât love me anymore, Yoongi!â
Jimin turning his head dramatically as if to mourn the loss of Yoongiâs âlove.â Amy couldnât hold back anymore and burst into laughter, clapping her hands. âOh my god, Jimin, whatâs wrong with you tonight?âshe managed to say between giggles.
"You know what ,eat whatever you want i won't stop you just eat slowly" Yoongi said sighing.
Jimin once again went back to his desired work.
Yoongi couldn't help but think,
"What was the reason for sudden mood change of Jimin" ......
