Chapter 349 I clenched my fists tightly. âWhy the hell are you calling me that? Who gave you the right?
Kane smirked. âRelax, sweetheart. Do you really want the kids to see you this worked up?â
I glanced at my children, their innocent eyes watching us with curiosity.
âDaddy calls Mommy âbabyâ because sheâs his baby,â Luna giggled, nudging Leo.
I exhaled sharply, turning away in frustration.
âShut up, Kane. Letâs not talk to each other.â
The rest of the drive passed in silence.
An hour later, I still had no idea where we were headed. All I knew was that we were supposed to spend three days somewhere, supposedly âhaving fun.â
âWhere exactly are we going?â I finally asked, breaking the silence.
Kane didnât answer.
I frowned, turning to him. âDid you suddenly go deaf? Why arenât you responding?â
Men He kept his eyes on the road, his fingers rhythmically tapping against the steering wheel. His long, lean fingers rested loosely around it, and for some reason, I caught myself staring. I quickly looked away, clearing my throat.
âI asked you a question. Where are we going?â
Without missing a beat, he replied, âWerenât you the one who said we shouldnât talk?â
I bit my lip, realizing Iâd contradicted myself.
âWell, thatâs your fault,â I shot back. âYou didnât tell me where we were going. I think I have a right to know.â
Luna and Leo burst into laughter.
âWhat?â I asked, glancing at them.
âMommyâs scolding Daddy! Weâve never seen that before,â Luna giggled.
Leo, noticing Kaneâs glance in the rearview mirror, tried to shush her.
But Kane just chuckled. âItâs fine. I like when your mom scolds me. She can do it as much as she wants.â
I narrowed my eyes at him, but he didnât even look my wayâjust kept driving, that smug grin still on his face.
And to make it worse, my kids joined in on his laughter.
My mouth fell open slightly. They were all ganging up on me.
Annoyed, I turned away and focused on the passing scenery outside the window.

< Chapter 349 Arrival at the Hotel After another hour, I recognized the areaâwe were passing Duskrun River.
Meras Beyond the river, the town was bustling with tourists. It was a popular vacation spot, filled with high- end shops, restaurants, and scenic views.
Kane pulled the car up in front of a luxury hotel.
To my surprise, several of his guards were already waiting outside, standing beside three sleek black SUVS.
Thatâs when it hit meâhe wasnât taking any chances when it came to our childrenâs safety. Even though he was personally with us, he still had his security team covering every angle.
Oddly enough, that realization made me feel a little relieved. At least he was responsible when it came to them.
As soon as I stepped out, my kids rushed to my side, hugging my legs.
âMommy, look how pretty this place is!â
âYeah, itâs amazing!â
I took in the hotelâs elaborate decorations. It was clearly a topâtier resort, catering to wealthy tourists- though for Kane, the Alpha of his pack, this was probably nothing.
Without wasting time, he stepped inside, and I followed, holding my childrenâs hands.
The hotel manager hurried over as soon as he spotted Kane, bowing slightly before gesturing toward the elevator.
We rode it up to the top floor, where he led us to a spacious suite.
âThis is your suite, Alpha,â the manager announced, opening the door.
I stepped inside and glanced around. The suite was massive, complete with a dining area, a kitchen, and two separate bedroom doors.
It seemed more than enough spaceâso I was surprised when Kane turned to the manager and asked, âIs there an extra room available?â
I frowned. Why would he need another room?
The manager hesitated. âIâm afraid not, Alpha. Itâs peak season, so-â
Kane cut him off with a nod. âThatâs fine. My packâs happiness comes first. Let them by their family time.â
I squinted at him. Since when was he this considerate?
The moment our luggage was delivered, the manager bowed again and left.
I turned, expecting to see my kidsâ bags as well, but before I could ask, Kane spoke.
âAlright, letâs get to our rooms.â

< Chapter 349 I grabbed a suitcase and started toward the room Luna and Leo had chosen But before I could step inside, Kaneâs voice stopped me.
âWell, youâre not staying with them.â
I turned around, frowning. âExcuse me? And why not?â
Before he could answer, a familiar voice came from inside the kids room.
Wren, our longtime caretaker, stepped out and bowed slightly to Kane.
âAlpha, I was inside organizing the kidsâ clothes. Iâm sorry I didnât greet you earlierâ1 didnât hear you arrive.â Her eyes lit up when she spotted Luna, âOh! Youâre here, sweethear 1 gave Wren a small smile and nodded. I hadnât expected to see her here, but it made sense. Kone had assigned her to look after the kids, so it wasnât surprising that sheâd come along Then something clicked in my mind.
âThere are only two bedrooms, and...â My voice trailed off as I turned to Kane.
He rubbed the back of his neck. âAnd... there arenât any extra rooms available.â His smirk returned as he added, âSo I guess that means weâll have to share a bedroomâ
