< The Alphaâs Hidden Heirs Chapter 43 âExcuse me?â I couldnât believe what heâd just said. How dare he?
âStop acting innocent. Does this fiancé you claim to have know what youâre doing here? Are you trying to ruin your own reputation?â
I laughed hysterically. This man was really getting on my nerves!
âThatâs rich â getting loyalty advice from a man who cheated on his wife and lived with his mistress during their marriage?â
He scoffed, flashing a devilish smirk. His aura was both cold and deadly.
âIf thatâs what I did, what about you? What about your bastard children?â
My eyes went wide. He was bringing my children into this again.
âHow dare you talk about my children?â I snapped.
Because I couldnât control myself, my voice came out too loud. Kane looked around at the other people in the cafeteria.
They quickly stood up and left. When I tried to stand too, Kane grabbed my hand under the table.
âWhere do you think youâre going? First you insult me in front of my pack doctors, now you want to run away scared?â His eyes flashed red, sending shivers down my spine.
âLet go of my hand.â
âWhatâs wrong? Not strong enough to break free yourself?â
I struggled against his grip, but he was too strong. I couldnât get my hand free.
âWHAT DO YOU WANT, KANE?â I shouted.
Thank goodness the cafeteria was empty by then. Otherwise, he wouldâve caused a scene. For some reason, his grip loosened.
I was surprised my shout affected him that much.
Thereâs no way he was actually scared of my yelling. So why did he suddenly let go?
He stood up and walked to Nathanâs empty chair. I got up and turned to leave.
âDid I say you could leave?â
I ignored him and kept walking toward the exit.
âDonât forget youâre in my pack now. Iâm free to punish you however I see fit.â
His warning stopped me cold.
âIâll throw you in the dungeon, and no Alpha or Beta will be able to get you out,â he warned.
If it werenât for Alpha Garrett, I would never have set foot in this pack.
Even after all this time, this man had the nerve to blackmail me!
Should I call my brother? No, that would just start a fight between the packs. Jaw clenched, I turned to face him.

< Chapter 43 âWhat do you want?â I growled.
He pointed to my empty chair, âSit.â
Get 59 Menu I stomped back to the table and sat down. âNow what?â
He pushed my plate toward me. âEat.â
I frowned. âWhat?â
âEat your food. Unless you want to waste it?â
âYou really think I can eat with you sitting there?â
His eyes turned black. His wolf seemed ready to take over, but he managed to stay in control.
He just stared at me without saying a word.
My stomach growled.
Truth was, I was starving, but not enough to let him boss me around.
I hadnât forgotten running into the forest on an empty stomach.
Looking at him brought back memories of the day I left his pack. I couldnât forget the pain and suffering I went through here.
âDidnât he tell my father he didnât care if I died? Now heâs ordering me to eat?â I thought.
Tears welled up in my eyes. I clenched my fists, fighting them back.
âPlease, no. I wonât let him see me cry,â I told myself.
He kept staring at me, like he was waiting for my tears to fall. He wouldnât even blink. He was clearly trying to provoke me.
âWhy? Why does he affect me so much? No. I canât show weakness in front of him,â I kept thinking.
I broke eye contact first. Looking down, I blinked away my tears and took a deep breath.
Figuring heâd let me leave once I finished eating, I decided to eat and then go see Garrett and Diana. I picked up my fork and started eating quietly.
The cafeteria was dead silent.
I heard a noise and glanced up to see Kane lighting a cigarette.
What was he up to?
I tried to ignore him and keep eating.
As I angrily chewed my food, I told myself, âWhy waste time on him? Iâm not listening to him. Iâm eating because Iâm hungry.â
After finishing, I grabbed some water, making it obvious I was ignoring him.
But just as I started drinking, he asked, âWhoâs the father of your children?â
