'Well, i mean you've been texting him for the past two weeks, and you went over to his house to 'hangout' and nothings going on between you two? impossible." juliet told liani.
she was convinced her and ashtray had some kind of feelings toward each other, however liani denied that and said that they were only friends, which is the truth. yeah, liani thought he was attractive but she didn't seem the two of them going any further.
"it is possible, because we're just friends." liani poked her cheek.
juliet rolled her eyes, "i give it a month, and y'all with be dating and i'll be right."
liani just shook her head, turning up the music that was playing lowly and moving over to her closet. juliet went to stand next to her, although she was already dressed in what she was going to where that night.
liani picked out an outfit, and showed it to juliet for her opinion. juliet smiled at it, nodding her head to let her know she thought it was cute.
liani placed the clothes on her table, as juliet turned around to give liani privacy to change. when she was done, she told juliet she could turn back around and the two looked at themselves in the mirror liani had in her room.
they smiled, before juliet pulled her arms so they could dance to the song that was currently playing. it was something the two did anytime they got ready together, just to set the mood, basically.
after about thirty minutes, lianis makeup was done and she stood, putting on her shoes and then standing in front of juliet, who turned her face to the side a little to place a few gems under her eye.
liani took the gems from her hand, before putting the gems on her face. fianlly, the two walked out of lianis room and down her stairs, liani put her hand on the handle of her front door to open it, but jumped when she heard a loud knock.
"jesus." she mumbled, opening the door to be met face to face with a smiling sam.
"uber." he sarcastically said, pointing back to his truck that had their other friends already sat in it, with his thumb.
liani laughed, closing her door and following behind him to his truck. her and juliet slid in the back seat, greeting their friends with hi's of smiles.
sam drove off, turning up the music with everyone singing along together loudly.
arriving to the carnival, the group of friends hopped out of sams truck, before going up to get their wrist bands and then splitting.
liani linked her and juliet's arm, making her way further into the carnival to see all the options of rides they had.
the two saw very familiar faces, such as, lexi, rue and gia, and soon after they saw maddy talking to someone on the phone. the place was very crowded though, so they didn't have any time to greet any of them.
liani pointed to the ride closest to them, "wanna go on that one?" she asked juliet.
juliet eyed it, before nodding and the two walked over to it. the long line made juliet groan in annoyance, but she quickly shut up when she felt liani drag her closer to the front of the line, pushing the two of them in front of a guy.
juliet chuckled at the look on his face, but he didn't say anything to them. they walked with the next group of people, and buckled into the ride.
"i'm so thirsty." liani complained to juliet.
juliet pulled her arm towards the food and drink place that was next to them, letting her know they'd get something to drink. they stood in line, but liani turned to her to juliet when she felt her her pulled away.
she rolled her eyes playfully when monty came into view, and he greeted her with a small wave before pulling juliet into a kiss.
"wanna go on a ride?" he asked juliet.
she turned to liani, "um, no, i can't leave lani."
liani furrowed her eyebrows, "what? no, i'll get a drink and you can text me in like twenty, thirty minutes, go."
juliet looked hesitant to leave her best friend, but sighed and gave in. she waved by the liani, before getting pulled away by her boyfriend.
liani snickered, moving up in the line. "hi, what can i do for you?" the woman greeted her.
liani smiled, "can i get a root beer?"
"is that it?" the woman asked, and liani nodded while handing her the money. the moved over to the side so other people could move up and order as well, but took her root beer when the woman called out to her.
she took a drink, walking away. she looked around at everything around her, and spotted a pretzel truck. she pulled out more money from her back pocket, walking over to it.
she spotted maddy and cassie leaving it, and waved at them before standing at the truck.
"welcome to pretzelmania, can i take your order?" liani heard, "yeah, can i haveâ" she paused when she looked up and seen ashtray, making her laugh.
"ashtray?" she laughed in disbelief.
he rolled his eyes, "do you want something or not?"
she nodded, "yeah, a pretzel."
he walked away for a minute, before coming back with a pretzel and cheese, and handed it to her. she held her money out to him, and he took it with a nod.
"so, you been here all night?" she asked, tearing off a piece of her pretzel and stuffing it in her mouth.
"yup, bout to switch with fezco though." he answered.
"do you wanna go on a ride, then? like when y'all switch." she asked, dipping her pretzel in cheese.
"no." he answered, watching her.
she mugged him, "please?"
"where's your friend?" he asked, referring to juliet.
"with her boyfriend." liani shrugged, leaning against the truck to look up at him.
ash turned his head to look at the people around them and the rides, and scoffed. "fine."
liani turned to him with a smile, "really?"
he nodded slowly, pushing up from the wall when fezco walked inside the truck and took the hat off of his head. "ight, you good, man, thanks." fezco told him, waiting for ashtray to take if the apron he was wearing.
"i'll be back." ashtray told fezco, walking out of the truck and meeting liani in the front of it.
"hi, fez." liani smiled at him.
"hi.. where are y'all goin?" he asked her.
"to ride a few rides, ashtray wanted to because he has a crush on me, ya know." liani joked.
ashtray rolled his eyes, "sure, hurry up."
liani waved goodbye to fezco, before walking off with ashtray. fez watched the two with furrowed eyebrows, he wondered if what liani said was true.
liani threw her empty root beer and pretzel tray away, before turning to ashtray. "so, what do you wanna ride first?"
he pointed to a ride ahead of them that looked interesting, and liani nodded to let him know she saw it. they reached the ride, and she gripped his jacket sleeve, pulling him closer to the front of the ride and cutting in front of someone.
he watched her, and when they had their spot in line he chuckled, "impatient ass."
she laughed, pulling him forward as they were next in line. they settled into the ride, their knees and arms touching because of how small the seat was.
liani glanced over to ashtray as the ride started and there was a screech, "fuck this." ashtray mumbled, gripping the bar.
she laughed, nudging him. "relax."
