Chapter 53:

Xia Ji closed the door behind him and told Xia Qingshu not to wander off, and only left after seeing the other party obediently agree.

Xia Ji found Xia Yubin outside the flower room on the ground floor. Xia Yubin was drinking with a middle-aged, balding man, and was a little embarrassed by what he said, but he pulled up the corners of his mouth and laughed. Mr Wu stood up and extended his hand towards Xia Ji, “How do you do? Your Xia family is full of talent.”

Xia Ji narrowed his eyes and gave Mr Wu a careless glance, “Hello, Mr Wu.” He didn’t shake his hand back, but picked up the bottle on the table and filled their glasses with wine. He avoided shaking hands with the other man. Wu was a veteran, not caring at all about the other party’s little tricks, and asked eagerly, “Is it done?”

Xia Ji didn’t answer the question, but looked at Xia Yubin and asked seriously, “Yubin, do you really want to do this?”

Xia Yubin blinked twice, his eyes moistened, and with an airy tone, he said, “Second brother, I ……”

Xia Ji turned towards Chief Wu and said, “Chief Wu, excuse me, can you let me talk to my brother alone for a moment?”
