Idara's POV
I sighed once again this morning as I stepped out of the car.
I had enjoyed myself during the weekend until I remembered exams were close.
I decided to stay up to read but immediately I opened my chemistry textbook I slept off only waking up when the alarm sounded.
I walked up to the class already meeting our home room teacher.
That Mercy girl always making me come late.
"Good morning ma." I greeted as I walked to my seat.
"Morning" I muttered to Angel and Liz .
They smiled at me as I sat down.
I was tired of exams sef , who was the person that brought up the idea of exams.
I was still abusing the person that invented exams until i heard
"we are switching everyone for the coming exams according to the WAEC sitting standard."
Groans were heard around the room , an sure the scowl on my face got deeper .
Who will I sit down with now, I heard WAEC uses first name arrangement , so.....
"Everyone stand up ......." Everyone stood up as she called the already arranged names one by one.
Femi was sitting down with one Gori , a boy in our class. He is part of the football team , and he's quite popular.
They sat down at the front seat of the second row.
Liz has been called earlier, since her name was Elizabeth and she was sitting with Daniel , well Angel was the first person to be called and she was sitting with Ayo.
Now am wondering why my name didn't go with Femi's own ,
"Idara and Ire sit down at the back seat in row two."
Mrs Mojere said.
Femi's head turned fast that I thought it would snap , he just stared at me as I went to the seat.
Ire was smiling at me as he sat down "was this planned , two newbies together." He said as I shook my head in realization.
"True ooo." I said back at him, I looked back at Femi but he was already facing the front.
I know how he feels with me being close with his brother but he should just trust me. And I don't even have time for this.
I sighed again as I brought out my chemistry textbook from my bag .
"Why are you sighing so much?" Ire asked from beside me.
"Am tired , exam is starting soon . I just want to read everything before that week." I said turning the book to where I stopped before I slept off.
"Well let's be reading partner then. Have done everything in my former highschool so I will explain to you and it will serve as revision to me." He said.
I thought about what he said but maybe I should just ask Femi.
I looked over at him and he was actually staring back at me.
He smiled , mouthing "read well ooo."
He faced his front , bringing out his own books too .
"Don't tell me you want to ask for his permission?" Ire asked from beside me again.
His own books were also out.
Science students.
"It doesn't concern you. " I said back to him.
"Fine , so you are not taking up the offer right?"
"I am , I need it and since you are my partner more advantages right?"
He smirked
"am not teaching you during the exams ."
I scoffed back.
"I never told you to."
"Fine , we have an agreement."
"We do."
He shifted one of his books to my side.
It was master physics .
Thank God this school gives SS3 full day to read during revision week before mock exams.
"....... So what is the total capacitance?"he asked me after explaining it.
He was actually good , the two brothers had looks , swags , and also brains.
I answered it swiftly.
And he looked over raising up his hand as I quickly slapped it .
Laughing as I gave him the high-five.
"Thanks for explaining , I would say you are one of the best people to explain physics to me " I said looking at my jotter where I solved all the questions.
"It's my pleasure, so who else knows physics like this ?" He asked.
"Well Femi , only you and Femi actually."
He laughed "yeah , we are both the only ones have seen getting 99 and 100 in physics.
"What , you gotta be kidding me?" I asked . I was always struggling to get an A in physics.
"Yeah , we are like that." Ire said .
It was finally lunch time. Ire and I got up immediately the bell sounded.
I went to Femi's seat immediately.
"Hi."I said as I sat on his table.
Femi looked at me "you are looking so happy." He said
"Well should I feel sad?" I asked back not getting his point.
"Yeah, you are not sitting with your boyfriend and you're happy."he said pouting as he stood up.
He put his hands on my shoulder bending down to my level ,
"Why were you so grumpy?" He asked removing a strand of hair from my face.
I blushed because of our position
"I slept while reading. Ire even said he will be my reading partner."I said as I pushed his chest.
He laughed , "small small aunty , wait your reading partner?"
His laugh gradually disappearing.
He stepped back putting his hands inside his pockets , "why?" He asked .
He looked like that former Femi. The one with a permanent frown.
I sighed as I stood up and hold his hand dragging him out of the class. I was hungry and the lunch time was always speeding.
"Idara why?" He asked again , we were walking with our hands held together.
"Cause he's obviously smart and he's my seat partner. I didn't put it on the personal type of things , it was just because of the benefits I'll get." I said looking up at him.
He still had the scowl , "I just don't trust him . "He said.
"But you trust me right?" I asked him
"Yeah I do so I'll drop it. " He said as we walked to our table with our food.
He sat beside me and I sat beside Ire.
With me in their middle I was feeling a little uncomfortable.
Femi was obviously angry with Ire and ire was just ignoring him by starting conversations with me.
I just nodded at him anytime he asked me a question and kept on eating.
Liz and the others were not even feeling the tension in the air.
"Ire leave her let her eat her food in peace."he said with a dangerous voice.
"Who pissed in your food? Why so grumpy can't I talk to her." Ire asked him back.
I sighed as I stood up , banged the table and turned leaving everyone staring at me.
Well brave act but I was still hungry.
