Femi's POV
"Femi When you hear this I would have died and Wow you must be so big now. My child, my lovely son . The one and only love in my life .Am sorry I wasn't there with you through your primary and secondary life. Hope your dad is treating you well." She said.
I cleaned my wet eyes , I missed her lovely voice. I missed her so much and dad couldn't even let her rest well .
"Am so sorry if he doesn't treat you well. Now I guess you are old enough to get all my properties as you are now an adult.
All my houses and properties at lekki and my company will be yours. Mr Aiden will talk more about it with you.
Please be a good kid for me and make me proud . I miss you so much. I love you baby boo."
I remembered all the times she always called me baby boo.
God I missed her too.
Mr Aiden pushed the tape to my side. I collected it.
"thank you sir." I said putting it in my pocket.
He nodded patting my back. He later talked about all the inheritance stuffs.
I can finally be free from Mr Davies and his plan.
I don't need to be afraid again since I don't need his money for my school fees.
I left the building and entered my car. I brought out my phone and saw three missed call from ire .
I sighed and dropped the phone , I reversed going back home.
I'm not getting engaged.
"Is he at home?" I asked Mary , a maid .
"Yes sir." Immediately she said that I walked fast to his office.
I knocked on the door."come in." He said.
I opened the door and walked into the office."good evening sir." I said sitting down on the chair.
"Good evening." He muttered facing his laptop back.
"Am not getting engaged sir." I said and waited for his expression.
He just looked up , "you are getting engaged and it's just for two weeks minimum."
"No I can't. I'm sorry but I can't. Am sure ire will gladly do it ." Immediately I said that he banged his hands on the table.
"Are you giving me instructions on what to do. Is it because am just watching you?" He asked Making me confused.
He opened his drawers and brought out an envelope . He passed it to me . I opened it and what I saw was different pictures of idara and I .
I looked at them one after the other. They were snapped from different angles .
I looked up at him .
"I left you alone to have your fun and now that you have follow my order. How can you stoop low to date my director's daughter."he said glaring at me.
Idara's family was also rich , that is definitely not stooping low
"Sir , her dad has a high position . It's not stooping low." I said
"Get engaged or I fire him." He said with a finality in his voice showing that the conversation was over.
He faced his laptop leaving me alone with my thoughts.
I stood up about to leave when he said
"It's immediately after your external exams."
I didn't reply, I just walked out and came face to face with ire.
"You are getting engaged?" He asked looking angry .
Why is he even angry , did he not hear what his father said.
I walked away only to be dragged back by him.
"So what will you do about idara huh? Were you ever planning on telling one of us ?"
He said glaring at me.
"Didn't you hear what he said either I do that or her father loses his job. I don't want to be the cause of that." I simply said pulling his hand away from mine
"You should tell her about it." He said
"I know." I replied and walked away.
I walked into my room and lied on my big bed staring at the ceiling.
Remembering past memories of my mum and i.
Bad for you by meek kill played suddenly and I quickly brought out my phone .
It was idara. I looked at her cover picture that I used for a while before picking the call.
Me; hello
Idara; hey babes how you doing? How was the hangout.
Me; I didn't go.
Idara; why you've been looking dull again these days is anything going on?"
She really knows me. I think I should tell her . No I need to tell her.
Me; I'll tell you about it tomorrow.
Idara; do I need to always ask Femi. Trust me if you have to let your emotions out.....am coming I'll call you back."
She didn't wait for my reply as she just cut the call. Maybe someone was calling her.
I turned on my bed and decided it was time to face those guys. I will tell idara tomorrow and it will be fine.

Idara's pov
"Idara come fast ." I heard Mercy shout .
I quickly ended the call and walked outside.
"Where are you?"Â I asked
"Mum's room. Be fast" she said with urgency laced in her voice.
I quickly walked to the room only to find my mum on the floor with her head on Mercy's lap.
"What happened?" I asked running to them . I held her hand in my shaking one.
"She ... I don't know ... I walked in and met her like this." Mercy said crying.
I quickly called Dad and explained he told me to tell Tayo to take us to the hospital.
I ran outside where Mr Tayo my mum's driver was sitting
After telling him we both ran inside . He carried my mum , considering she had A very small stature and placed her gently inside the car.
The gateman opened the gate and Mr Tayo started speeding to the hospital.
Mercy was crying while I was still thinking that this was all a dream.
Mum wasn't sick , not that I know of. She and dad were having matters but I guess it wasn't serious by the way .
I cleaned Mercy's tears and patted my mum's hair. A year dropped from my eyes as I kept praying.
After ten minutes, he parked in front of the hospital.
The nurses came and quickly brought out an emergency bed. They placed her on it and took her to a test room.
Dad came some minutes later, and quickly ran to the doctor's office.
After fifteen torturous minutes, dad came out. He looked like he aged in just forty five minutes.
He sat on the waiting chair beside us.
We all stood up and followed the nurses taking my mum somewhere.
When we reached the surgery area , they stopped us and we were forced to have a seat outside.
"What's wrong with her?" Mercy Said crying.
"She's having a surgery. She has ruptured appendicitis. She needs our prayer it's bad." Dad said his voice breaking at the end.
"Father Lord please help us." I muttered bursting into tears too.
