Femi's POV
I parked my car in my usual parking space. God i missed this car . Mr Davies and his wahala ehn.
Siezing my car key just because of the exams .
I stayed in the car and brought out my phone.
It was already 11;30 pm. I tested idara if she had reached home.
She texted me back immediately saying yes.
I was about to tell her today but she wanted to have fun. I will have to tell her tomorrow.
I went to wattsap and checked everyone's status, it was all about the party and congratulations on the end of exams.
I scanned through it all and replied to some of my friends. I was actually waiting for 12:00am . Mr Davies always go to sleep at that time.
I wasn't even ready and willing to see him. I'm just waiting for my SAT exam and then am out of this house. I'll be in a university and all.
I opened the door and stepped out. I used the button to lock it and rubbed my shining blue car.
I walked into the house and closed the door behind me. As usual the whole house was dark. I found my way to the kitchen since I was thirsty . I opened the fridge and picked a bottle water .
I opened it and looked to the other side where the mini bar was. I dropped the bottle water in surprise as I found Mr Davies sitting down there.
I heard a chuckle , wow . I only heard my dad chuckle when he's with ire and his mum. Never with me and that thought brought a smile to face . As the saying goes no one can hate their parents.
"Good evening sir." I said . I heard him clear his throat. "Femi why did you take the car key?" He asked.
Why does he always like to make a big deal out of everything. Can someone please tell me .
"Ire too picked his own." I said back with a sigh.
"That wasn't what I asked you." He said with a Stern voice.
"You said we could pick it when we are done with the exams." I said frustrated.
"So you didn't even call for the permission to take it." He said.
"Your line was busy. Ire said we should just take it." I said doing what I always did best which was hiding under Ire's name.
"Ire can take his key I don't mind and I always tell you , you and ire are different. Ire is the rightful child , omoále nà é. Don't repeat that next time." He said standing up.
I was angry. No I was more than angry. Why is he always saying that. Don't I have his blood too am I not his child.
"You should have kept it in your pants when you realized you didn't want a bastard. Why do you keep showing hatred towards me . It wasn't my fault that you slept with my mother when you know you have a wife waiting for you." I said walking out on him.
"Do not walk out on me ." I heard him say but I didn't care. Maybe it was the alcohol,maybe it was all the things I picked up in my heart that cause it but I felt free.
I walked to my room , I even noticed Ire was not back . I closed the door and removed my shoes.
I walked up to my bed and lied down on it. Slowly drawing to sleep , I kept thinking what he will do back for what I said and did.

*Brrrrrrr* that stupid alarm kept sounding. I wanted to even throw it out of the window.
I sat down in my bed and looked around for my phone. I didn't see it not even my laptop . What's happening,no walked to my door but immediately I got there the door opened up.
Mr Davies walked in and looked around.
"I've sorted your phone and laptop. You are grounded for what you said and also the engagement will take place today." He said
"Today?" I croaked out.
"Yeah. I hope you learn not to disrespect me again. I can't even blame you it's just in that......" He kept on saying as he walked out.
He locked the door behind him with a key .
I turned the door knob but it didn't even shake .
I slowly sat down in the floor with my back resting on the door.
My head was in between my hands which was on my leg.
The person who said a child can never hate his parent was definitely lieing cause I hate that man more than anything in the world.
Idara's POV
I looked at the clock which was facing me . It was already 10:30 am. I stood up from my bed , arranged it back and walked to the bathroom.
When I was done , I wore a bumber short and free top. I walked outside and into Mercy's room. She was still sleeping. She was just busy taking pictures of people yesterday and I saw her with one of her classmate or so.
I walked to the kitchen and decided to make toast bread , after the first round Mercy walked downstairs or more like ran to the kitchen. I swear that girl is a glutton.
I made three more rounds and we both had four . She made tea , I always loved her tea cause mil and sugar use to be too much.
We arranged it in the sitting room and turned on the TV. She changed the station to Fox and they were showing empire.
"This empire film don tire me Jo." I said with the bread in my mouth.
The series didn't want to end . I love cookie but the series was already tiring me.
Mercy being Mercy didn't even answer , she just kept on watching it. When we were done , she took the plate to the kitchen while I went to take my phone .
I entered my room and picked the phone which was on the bed side table. There was a missed call from dad and a message from ire.
The engagement party was today and it was in the evening. I tried femi's number but it was switched off.
Didn't he charge his phone or did something happen.
I called Ire
Me : hello
Ire: idara how you doing?
Me: am fine , I saw your text. Is Femi there with you
I heard a silence, he didn't answer for like 15 seconds . I even the phone to see if he had ended the call but he was still there
Ire;Â Femi is busy. He's doing something for dad.
Me: okay. I'll see you by which time.
Ire: four will be great . Bye.
I cut the call. And walked back downstairs, Mercy was having a video call with mum and dad . I joined them and dad started telling his takes about india.

"Babes I don't know what to wear?" I said immediately Liz picked the call. It was already 3:15 and I had no idea what to wear.
"Hold on , where are you going?" She asked confused
"Am going to an engagement party with ire and I don't know what to wear." I said back .
"Ire?" She asked surprised.
"Yeah ." I said back.
"Wear that red gown and the heel Angel picked for you." She said . I swear this girl knows my wardrobe than me myself.
"Will Femi be there?" She asked.
"No am not sure ... I tried to tell femi but his phone is switched off. I will be back . Just want to go to appreciate his lessons during the WAEC exams."I said back sighing
"Okay then . Be careful. Bye" she said and cut the call.
I picked out the red gown and wore it . I also did a little make up. I brushed my hair and wore my heels.
It was already four. I heard a horn and I stepped out
"How do I look?" I asked Mercy.
"Perfect." She said smiling
"Bye." I said as I walked out struggling with the heels

Femi parked the car in front of their house. Various expensive cars were also lined up.
We stepped out of the car .
"The party is at your house ." I said
"Yeah." He said back. Femi didn't tell me about any party. He will surely be there and I could just surprise him.
" Who's getting engaged?" I asked.
"One of my relatives." He simply said back as we walked inside.
It was a garden party. It looked so elegant and expensive.
Everyone was wearing expensive dress and suits. Ire was even in a tuxedo. We walked to our seats.
It was already time for them to give a speech.
The fiancee was talking, I used this opportunity to take my phone. I texted Mercy that I was there and also sent a text to Liz telling her it was in their house.
She asked who was getting engaged .  the MC told them to kiss so I looked up from my phone only to find a heart shattering scene.
This can't be happening.
