There's a corner of your heart for me.
There's a corner of your heart just for me.
I will pack my bags just to stay in the corner of your heart.

Sageâs Pov.
Blaze walked in front of me and Zac, and went straight to his room, closing the door behind him. I plopped on the couch and Zac into a nearby chair, loosening his tie.
âWhy were you jealous? I told you, you had no reason to be. He doesnât want her.â Zac sighed running a hand through his thick, honey hair.
âZac honestly, look at Marnie and then look at me. Could you blame me? I mean I know Iâm not ugly, but I donât have sex appeal or the ability to catch Blazeâs eye apparently.â
âSo youâre admitting that you want Blaze?â He asked lips curling into a smirk.
âNo, that definitely not what Iâm admitting. Iâm saying if this needs to seem real then I have to be able to at least keep his attention from other girls. It obvious that most of his family prefer Marnie. So it wonât be in the tabloids, I donât want to be embarrassed.â I replied swinging my arm from the couch, looking upside down at him.
A look of deep thought passed through his face. Though a tad muscular and an obvious blonde, plus the way he joked, made him seem like the stereotype, but Zac definitely had a brain and he knew how to use it. Perhaps he wasnât as smart as Blaze but he definitely wasnât dumb.
âYouâre going to fall in love with him.â He stated as if it took all that time to think of that.
âAre you serious?â I questioned, âYou sat there in deep thought just to say that? Zac stop saying that, this is just a deal and I know that. I wonât fall in love with him. I wonât.â Then I dragged myself off the couch and walked to my room, but before entering I waved a goodnight at Zac, who just lifted his head in a nod. The lazy bum was probably going to sleep there.
I woke up earlier than Blaze, or maybe I didnât and he was just in his room; and made breakfast. I made us all pancakes. I sat Zacâs in front of him, where I knew heâd be sleeping; on the couch. And I made my way with Blazeâs plate to his door.
I knocked three times and I got no answer, so I opened the door. A big gust of steam hit me in the face and when I opened my eyes, Blaze was in clear view pulling on his boxers but I still got a good view of his butt. I stood there like a deer in the headlights shock evident on my face. He was unaware of me till he turned around.
âOh shit! Sage how long were you standing there?â I could see a tinge of pink across the lining of his cheeks.
âIâm so sorry, oh my gosh. I promise I didnât get to see anything but your butt! Okay well that came out wrong, I didnât walk in here soon enough to see anything else- that sounds worse. Uhm here Iâll leave this here and Iâll just go!â I squeaked sitting his pancakes on the bedside table and scurrying out of the room.
âWhatâs wrong with you? You look like you just saw a ghostâ¦â¦. Or Blaze naked?â That infamous smirk slithered on his face and he got up shaking his body in a funny way singing âInnocent Sage-y saw Blaze-y Nake-yâ as loudly as he could! He ran around the house singing it and I couldnât catch him because I was always caught between pieces of furniture.
âYou idiot why wouldnât you tell me he was taking a shower?â I asked through gritted teeth, the most embarrassed I have ever been, and Iâve been in some embarrassing moments.
âHey everyone! Iâm here now, whereâs the food Zac promised us!â Aubrey loud voice carried over to me. Oh no, sheâd make it ten times worse. I made eye contact with Zac and pleaded with my eyes, for him not to tell her. That only added fuel to his rapidly spreading smile. He dashed into the kitchen before I could stop him.
âHey, my lovely sister! Guess what glorious thing happen to Sage this morning!â That same irritating smirk spread across her face. Iâm starting to think that itâs a family thing. She started eating some of my pancakes staring me down.
âDonât tell me Zac!â I actually thought she was on my side before the next sentence left her mouth. âI want to figure it out, cause oh trust me, I will!â Then she gave an evil laugh which her brother joined in on.
Mark walked in with milk and stopped immediately when he heard the maniacal siblings. âSo, what are these two up to now?â Then he looked at my gaping mouth and said âOh, of course Sageâ Then walked over into the kitchen as if it was nothing new.
âArenât you going to help me?â I begged.
âSorry, thereâs nothing I can do my friend. Once these two are set on something, they will accomplish it.â He scooped a couple pancakes onto his plate and drowned them in syrup.
âYouâre no help,â I glared at him. Blaze came out of his room a couple minutes later and sat right next to me. I quickly got up and busied myself in the kitchen. Aubrey stared Blaze down, but of course theyâve been friends all their lives, he wasnât having it.
âAubrey stop staring, itâs fucking annoying.â He ate some of his pancakes and then she asked the question I was trying to brace my beating heart for it.
âSo whatâs got Sage so jumpy around you?â She was too forward for her own good. She pointed her fork at him and his eyes went from the fork to me. I avoided eye contact and went to rapidly washing a dish. But when I glanced back at him I noticed the pink tinge lined his cheeks again. He was way better at hiding his emotions than me.
Then a grin as big as the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland spread across Aubreyâs face. âOkay there are two options. Since I know you both had never did anything besides kiss, which I have actually witness, and goodness was it heated donât know where that wouldâve went if I wouldnât of caught you two. Which is weird I mean Blaze is not the type to wait, why wait for you? Unless you were like one of those nun type girls. Which is crazy because where did Blaze find you? I mean youâre not clingy or anything. Trust me I know clingy I once had this friend who was so clingy to her boyfriend that-â
âAubrey your point!â Blaze snapped clearly annoyed at her constant rambling.
âSorry,â she laughed and then continued with her previous point âYou saw her naked Blaze.â
âNo I didnât.â And there was that pink tinge again, and even though I hadnât known Blaze very long, I knew that he wasnât one to blush.
âBut-but youâre blushing! You never blush, in all the years Iâve known you. When Jessica Turner showed you her boobs, in the 10th grade you didnât blush you raised your eyebrows and nodded approving but you didnt blush. Not even when your mom caught you and Millie Thompson getting it on in the back of your first car.â I knew Blaze wasnât a virgin, but I mean how did Aubrey know names? And I definitely didnât think I was going to hear about the girls that he did anything with. The thoughts kind of depressed me and so I turned back around and finished the dishes.
âJust stop talking, motor-mouth.â And I guess Zac hit her or something because she said âOW! Why- Oh, Iâm sorry if that made you uncomfortable Sage! I mean no normal girl wants to hear about her fiancéâs sexual exploits.â
âIts fine and I gave her a small smile. Then there was whispering along the lines of âcomfortâ ânowâ and âstupidâ.
I felt arms wrap around my waist and Blazeâs chin resting on my shoulder. I almost forgot that Aubrey and Mark had no idea that this wasnât real, and that Blaze was only comforting me because they were here. If they werenât here and this was just one of our regular little fits against each other in front of Zac, he wouldâve just walked off grumpy, to his room.
âIâm sorry you had to hear that,â he whispered into my ear. It felt like it was truth but I had to remember that it was just acting.
âItâs okay, I knew you werenât pure. You a hot guy that was expected.â I complimented with a small chuckle at the end, to seal the deal. He spun me around and kissed me on the lips softly. I looked at face and it was blank as usual with his electric green eyes glowing.
âOkay if the sappy moment is over I will be taking Sage to get coffee, and look for a wedding dress with her mom, Mrs. Colton, and Grams once Cory gets here. And yes you guys are on babysitting duty.â Aubrey dictated finishing off her pancakes and placing her plate in the sink.
âThatâs fine; Cory is the best kid Iâve met.â Blaze stated the side of his mouth twitching up a little.
We heard a knock at the door and Mark opened it letting my little brother come bounding through. He was dropped off by his friend Ericâs mom.
âOkay Cor, be good for Blaze, Zac, and Mark. If I hear one bad thing Iâm telling mom on you.â He pouted and stuck his tongue out at me. I bent down and squeezed the life out of him. I released him and he glared at me, to which I just laughed and skipped out of the Condo with Aubrey.
First we headed to the Starbucks that I once worked at. Stacy was there sitting on the counter like usual while Jeremy was doing all the work. We strolled up to the counter and I greeted the un-expecting worker with a hug. Jeremy was a seventeen year old boy who was the sweetest while I was working here. He had shaggy brown hair and had the bad boy look going on, he was like a younger brother and I his older sister.
âSage! Where have you been the last month? I asked the skank over there but she just shrugged. Sheâs been worse and even inviting her dumb friends in here too. I was-â he stopped mid-speech and turned his attention to Aubrey looking around unaware. âAnd who is this?â He asked turning on the charms and winking at Aubrey to which she looked around making sure it was aimed her.
âIâm Aubrey her soon to be sister-in-law, and too old for you little boy.â
âBut you know what they say about older women, theyâre always looking for a young cub to be a cougar with,â he winked again licking his lips what he thought was seductively.
âPlease stop and get me and espresso. Just looking at you makes me feel like Iâll be charged for being a pedophile.â
âSo youâre saying if I was older youâd give me a chance?â He was persistent and I didnât want Aubrey to crush his spirits.
âYeah sure. If you were older and I wasnât with my boyfriend, now whereâs my coffee!â She asked impatient, but rolled her eyes and smiled nonetheless.â
âIâd like my normal too. And George fired me because I wasnât pretty and something about losing business.â
âWhat? Youâre my beautiful sister, no matter how ugly those glasses, that Iâm glad you decided to lose, were.â
âYouâre sweet, but shut up. I loved my glasses.â
âSo I heard you were getting married to a Colton?â He said with amazement and awe on his face. Did everyone know who Blaze was except me?
âYeah, I am. Though I didnât know who he was when I met him.â I laughed.
âHow could you not? Heâs on all the magazines as a bachelor and you look like the type to read.â
âHey, Iâm not a magazine reader. And I donât keep up with the times okay.â
âWell weâre going to go sit,â Aubrey read his nametag, âJeremy, weâll see you soon. I like you kid, youâre funny and youâd be perfect for my little cousin.â
âDoes she look like you?â Jeremy was back at his flirting again.
âYeah, sure. See you later Jeremy.â I told him hugging him once again before sitting down in the now busy Starbucks.
My eyes wandered over the Starbucks that use to be like a second home to me, I saw Aubrey drinking her coffee as if it was made by God, and then my eyes landed on Stacy who was talking to a brunette whoâs head was turned so all I saw was hair, but the way she dressed reminded me of someone.
âHey does that brunette over there by the skinny blonde look familiar to you?â I asked Aubrey, because I felt like the girl I knew from somewhere.
âYeah the blonde is Stacy Orsini and the brunette has to be Marnie, those two are inseparable almost.â She sipped on her coffee again as if it was the most normal thing.
âI worked here for years with Stacy and Iâve never seen Marnie here. I didnât meet Marnie till I met Blaze.â I told her taking a huge gulp of my drink the hot liquid burning down my throat.
âWell Iâve been knowing those two basically my whole life, theyâve been best friends ever since I can remember.â
âHow long have you known Blaze?â
âHa, Iâve been knowing Blaze since I was six years old, him and my brother have been friends since as long as they could remember. And hung out every day until his parents took him away for a year when he was fifteen and I was sixteen.â
âWhy did they take him away?â I was curious, because I knew Blaze would never tell me any of these personal details about his life. I already drank the rest of my coffee so I was fully intent on hearing the rest, my elbows on the table and leaning in to hear better.
Aubreyâs eyebrows scrunched together in confusion, âHowâd you fall in love with Blaze if you donât know this?â
âI would never ask him something he doesnât want to talk about. I fell in love with his-â I lost the words, because what was I going to say? I didnât know much about Blaze, he was a closed off person and there wasnât much he would let me know. âWith his sweet side. You wonât Blaze to do or say much but at the most random times heâd show me a side I wasnât expecting.â
âHmm well I guess thatâs reasonable.â She shrugged, finishing off the rest of her coffee and chucking it into the nearest trash can.
âBlaze parents took him away for a year to-â She was cut off my loud clicking heels and a shrill voice.
âIf it isnât the fired Beast, looks like you tried to turn into a Beauty, didnât work out.â Stacy cackled.
âThis is the ugly duckling you were always talking about Stace? Apparently she managed to snag my Blaze.â Marnie said disgusted, you could tell because of the sneer that was on her face.
âHe never wanted you, and sheâs not ugly. Back Chubaka and Yoda donât make me embarrass you.â Aubrey stood up and you could tell by her stiff posture that she was ticked.
