"You.. Y-you..." You Look Exactly Like Me! I wanted to shout but i was too afraid to get all the attention of the guest.
"Yes it is me. Princess Roxana of Bactria, wife of Alexander of Macedon. I recognize you, i saw you from that filthy witches home. I am shocked to see you here. What is your name?" She asked with her delicate voice.
Wait so this is Roxana!? We could literally pass as twins! Why didn't i see me and her having something familiar whenever i reread my books of History!?
I am beyond shocked right now, what am i supposed to do!? I've read that Roxana will kill all of Alex's mistresses in order to secure her child's throne over Alex kingdom. Alexander likes me!- no.. loves me! He said it so himself.
What do i do? What do i do!?
"Eherm, Lady i asked what is your name be." She repeated herself almost making me want to be eaten alive by the Earth.
"Margaux. My name is Margaux your highness." I managed to speak and gave a little bow.
Alexander? Hephaestion? Draco? Anyone will do please help me.
"Margaux, what a wonderful name, i would say it suits you but i can't see pass through your viel. Mind to take it off for me?" She asked remaining her perfect pose of elegance.
"Uhmm," urgh! This is exactly what i am afraid of. What will she say if she sees us looking the same? Imposter!?
"I uh, i- don't look good, and I'm too shy to show myself, especially in front if the princess." I stuttered doing a small curtsy.
"Really? Too bad, i was hoping to see someone half decent as me in this banquet."
Half decent!? Excuse me!? I know how to bring out the best in our face! While you stick with an utterly ridiculous plain look in the face everyday!
"Roxana," i heard a familiar deep voice making me jump in joy.
Alexander to the rescue!
"Uh I'm sorry to not meet your expectations, nice finally meeting you Princess," immediately bowed down then faced Alex.
I flashed him my brightest smile that even the viel can't cover before bowing before him too. "and you too General, i need to excuse myself I'm looking for my aquaintance, i need to talk to him about an important matter." I said fast and stormed off thier sight.
I hid behind a pillar before letting go a deep breath i had been holding.
"Now you understand what we mean about us mistaking you as Roxana or even worse an imposter ." It was Heph. He is smiling at me like no other
"For that i am deeply sorry, would you ever forgive me?" He asked crossing the path that separates us. He pulled me closer and gave me a light kiss in my cheek.
I gave him a soft smile and gave him a warm and tight hug.
"I was wondering when will you ever talk to me again. I lost count of days waiting, but all i know is it had been ages." I let out a soft cry while he carreses my hair.
"I'm sorry, but Alexander is overly possesive of things. Yes he does share everything with me, even his women, but you are the only exception to that. Your his private property that not even me is allowed to hold." He said in a sad tone.
"But i can decide for myself and i want you." I said taking his hands to my face. I placed soft little kisses to it as i look straight at his eyes.
"I want you too, but what Alex wants he gets. No one stands in his way and nothing defies him. That's one factor of him bieng a successful soldier and conqueror of all kingdoms." He explained.
I bit my lip, pulled back and looked around. Alex and Roxana were done talking, based on Roxana's whining face.
As per Alex i can't see him anywhere, where might have he gone?
"How about if we escape this place?" I asked and turned around.
"Sure where?" I almost yelled at the man that spoke. Where the heck is Heph?
"Uh hi Alex, i- uh"
"I missed you too Agapé, now where do you want to escape to until tonight?" He asked raising his hands.
I had no choice but to accept it and let him pull me out of the glamourous palace.
"Where to Agapé?" He asked again after we we're both out and there we're no people around us.
I honestly want to go back to the inn or to Heph's arms, just anywhere where i feel safe and anywhere without Roxana or Alex.
"I don't know. Just take me somewhere. You take the lead." I smiled forced and allowed him to pull me over again.
We both reached a large tree not far from the castle and hid behind it.
"I don't understand how Roxana, your wife, looks exactly like me, it seems impossible, we- we are not even related." I started the chat.
"Could be that your both long lost siblings. I have been working that part since the first time i confirmed that you are very much still alive. I thought I'd lost you that day, so now I'd do my best to make you stay. I will not let you go or atleast escape my sight Agapé so also be warned on bieng close to other men. Heph is fine, your brother would be fine too but if i have proven that you and Roxana are siblings you have to take a step back from Draco, if you are not related to him thier will be a high chance for you two to fall, do you understand me?" He asked.
Someone stop me before i slap this man.
"Lord Alexander!" We heard a shout from the palace.
"Urgh we barely talked," he groaned and scratched his hair.
So this is what Alexander the Great's frustrated face, kinda cute if i say so myself.
"So I'm allowed to be with Heph?" I said ignoring the shout from the palace.
"Heph? Sure, I'm leaving you under his care anyways when i start to conquer again, I will be aiming for Asia Minor next." He said then stood up.
Asia Minor? That is today's- i mean in my timeline, is Turkey right?
"Isn't Heph going with you?" I asked accepting his hands. I stood up and fixed my
"He will be seeing the other kingdoms that surrendered under my rule. You'd be visiting them too, I'll be giving you escorts to accompany you when Heph is too busy to be with you. Thier would be alot of girl stuff to choose from in the market area." He explained getting me exited.
"However I'll be staying here for a week before the journey starts, and I'll be spending it all with you." He said wrapping his hands on mine.
"Your wife?" I asked.
"Don't think much about her. Just stay happy and enjoy the feast." He kissed my nape before going the different way.
Hmm.. you're not so bad yourself cassanova.
"A TOAST TO OUR KING!" One of the soldiers shouted before it was followed by a large roar of clicks and clanks of each mugs full of beer.
I smuled and raised my way glass too. I looked both at Heph and Alex, both were having fun.
What did i do to deserve such men? I don't want to break thier hearts too if the time comes for me to choose..
...and most importantly, what if my desire changes.. what will happen?
