"I don't want to be rude but Mademoiselle your hurting my feelings." Drac exaggeratedly acted while clutching the left side of his chest.
I rolled my eyes and pinched him hard on his waist.
"Ow! You just became close to Hephaestion and now your ignoring and hurting me? That's so hurtful!" Draco stomped and whined like a big baby earning another pinch from me.
"Fine, fine I'll stop." Drac pouted as he rubbed his waist with his other hand.
Hephaestion did come back shortly afterwards but he didn't come and get me. If this was a week ago I'll be so happy but I've grown attachment through the past few days and i hate what he is doing right now.
We stopped and camped here in the plains for a while and Heph held a meeting immediately.
I admit i want attention from him. And what he's doing right now is important but am i not?
Hmp! I hate what I've become.
I sighed and entered the tent of Draco.
"Done snooping at him?" Drac teased while he fixed the hanging hammock.
I jumped and layed down at the hammock while looking up.
"Let me count.. ah yes it's almost a week that you've decided to open yourself yet you seem to grow too attached and attention hungry from him. I wonder what what means." Draco crossed his arms and looked at me suspiciously.
"It's nothing, it'll pass." I shrugged it off and moved to the opposite direction.
It was true. It's funny how the time pass fast.
From the very beginning of this journey i never thought that i could actually pull it off.. sure everything started in a bumpy ride but then i noticed that I'm starting to get the hang of this medieval times- if this were it. Anyways Drac told me that we're officially a month here in the 'Macedonian Era'. I'm starting to feel at home and get used to the surroundings though I'm having a hard time on how the lights are held in here. Always fire.
I sighed and closed my eyes when i heard a familiar voice calling.
I immediately sat up and looked at the tents entrance.
"Woo would you look at that." Draco chortled. I want to choke him badly but Heph is already at the door.
"Hey Margaux. Sorry for leaving you earlier, come lets get back to the tent." He apologised and extended his hands.
I quickly accepted it and pulled him into a hug.
'Clingy' i heard Draco whisper in between his malicious cough.
I glared at him and kicked a rock towards him before pulling Hephaestion off the tent.
"Uh.. What was that?"
"Oh that's nothing, come now I'm pretty tired." I smiled then closed the curtain in the front door before hugging him tight.
"I like this. I like this new you please don't change." He hugged back.
"I won't change i promise." I tilted my head and looked up at him.
"Are you sure? You won't run towards Alexander like you always do before?" He asked as he caressed me cheeks.
"Hmm nope." I barely even know him, actually i don't know him at all! Well except with some itsy bjtsy few details that we've learned from history class.. which is by the way my favourite topic.. nah scratch that.
"Why do you look so scared?"
"Nothing you just.. you never ever spared.. uh never mind.. forget about it. What is important is i have you know." He said pulling towards the end of the bed then sat down and hugged me tighter.
I fixed my position and straddled him. I put my head to his chest and raked my hands over his hard muscles.
"When we first met.. you told me stories about me bieng with you.. before as you claim, i didn't believe it at first and slowly i did for the past 2 weeks but ever since we became close I'm starting to doubt that story again. Tell me Heph, am i missing something?" I asked as i wrap my arms around his neck.
He sighed and pulled me closer, he took his time to feel me while he rest his head over my shoulders.
"It was a lie. That whole story was a lie, though i didn't lie about you bieng with Alex all the time. Choosing to be with him other than me." He sadly said, burying his head deeper in my neck.
"Why did you lie?" I asked.
"Because i almost got fooled once, that is why i act, to differentiate you from the imposters. I know a few things about you and that is what i use to know who is who. My hopes went up and down that day when we met a month ago. Some of your movements were misleading while some were just as perfect as i remembered." He explained.
"Then what made you think that i really am that girl?"
"Draco.. you've never left his side. I know how much your brother means to you.." he whispered in my neck sending unexplainable tingles throughout my body.
"Hmm," i hummed and pulled away from the hug.
"It tickles sorry," i apologised while i rub my neck.
"It's okay. Come you should sleep." He said and carried me down to the bed.
After fixing my pillow for me he went on the opposite bed to take a rest.
"Don't you want to come and sleep with me?" I asked before he could lay down to his own bed.
"You want me to sleep with you?" He shockingly asked.
"Yeah.." i smiled reassuringly and pat the space on my bed.
"Oh you mean that sleep. Crap." He facepalmed and looked at me.
"Sure, I'll just take this pillow." He smiled and went straight on my bed.
I'm clearly aware on what's going on in his playful mind but i want to shrug it off since i want to spend the night inside his arms.
I wonder how that feels, I'm pretty sure it's comforting and safe.
I gave him enough space and waited for him to settle down before hugging him.
"Hmm, did i mention how i love your scent even how sweaty you are?" I asked as i buried my head in his chest.
"I don't usually smell like this but there is this one time that you came to approach me and i really smell bad causing you to turn around and chose to talk to Alexander instead." He recalled as sadness washes over his face.
"Oh.." Aww! Hephaestion literally only has a sad memory of me..
If that was really me.
"You know I'll really make it up to you i promise," i promised but he just chuckled.
"What?" I frowned.
"I hope you keep it." He whispered and closed his eyes.
"Hey i keep my promise! Here I'll prove it to you." I sat up straight from the bed and pulled him up to seat.
"What- mmm"
Before he could even ask i sealed his mouth with mine.
"There, i sealed it with a kiss to show you that I'm true to my word." I victoriously smiled then licked my own lips.
He gave me an amused smile before speaking. "I still don't believe it."
"What? Why?" I grumpily crossed my arms.
"Well for one, it couldn't feel anything from the kiss. Two, that is not a kiss, this is." He pulled me and roughly claimed mine.
It was the most intense kiss I've ever had my whole.
I moaned when Heph's hand travelled towards my waist to pull me closer while his other hand held the back of my head to deepen our kiss.
I opened my mouth and let him ravish me as move to straddle his hips.
"Mm-mm"
I lost track but we kissed and kissed until we ran out of breath, taking a short break after each make out session.
"That.. was.. amazing.." i bit my lip. I couldn't find the guts to look at him right now.
And I'm pretty sure i looked super duper flushed after that make out session. Jeez calm your hormones Athena Margaux! Ah!
"Yeah it is." He smirked as he moves the dangling hair strand from my face around my ear.
"So did i prove anything to you?" I asked hopefully.
"Yeah, you proved that you could be the mother of my children." He teased making me turn more red.
"D-don't.. ah, shut up!" I glared and pushed him down the bed just to realize than i am sitting in his groin and there is a playful smirk in his face.
I immediately stood and pulled him off my bed.
"I change my mind, let's not sleep together. Leave my bed now." I said angrily to cover the building heat inside of me.
"This is unfair. I'm in a huge boner right now."
"Well suit yourself. You said you won't touch me without my consent right? So better be true to your word and get out of my bed now!" I shouted, pointing to his own bed.
He sighed defeatedly but instead of walking towards his bed he walked out the door.
"Hey where are you going?" I asked and catched up with him.
"Well I'm just gonna-" before he could finish his sentence an arrow swooped on our side hitting my right arm and making a small cut.
"Aw!" I winced in pain and covered my arms then looked up at Heph who suddenly became serious.
"Uh- Heph," i started to panic pulling Heph's arm making him my human shield.
Heph shoved me inside and catched a flaming arrow before it hit me.
"T-thank you.." i stammered and looked around the area trembling.
After a second Heph pushed me down the ground and ordered me to get below his table which i obligated immediately.
He hand signalled me to stay low as he goes through his things to get a sword and a shield.
"Heph what's happening?" I asked as i cover my head.
He kneeled on the ground and ripped a piece of the table cloth the wrapped it around my cut arm.
"Shh everything is going to be just fine, stay here and don't go anywhere. I'll send Draco and some of my men here. Okay?" He kissed my forehead before heading out of the tent.
What is happening? Are we under attack?
"Mademoiselle." Draco whispered behind me. Due to my reflexes i kicked him hard but he just held my feet and joined me underneath the table.
"What are you doing here? Go out there and help. What's your magic use for?" I shouted frustratedly while pulling my hair.
Draco rolled his eyes and calmly leaned on the foot of the table beside me.
"Come on, you know i couldn't use my powers in these kinds of situation or matter. We already talked about this." He frowned.
"But Heph-" i protested but he just pressed his fingers to my lips.
"Keep in mind that Heph is Alexander's brother and bestfriend. Heph is as tough as Alex. They have never ever been defeated in a single battle, even when they were so outnumbered. So stay calm okay? And I'm pretty sure that he'll keep you safe so relax.." he maintained calm.
"Fine." I mumbled and hugged my knees.
I heard distant clings of swords, burning sounds of fabric and wood, trumpets, and shouts of men outside but i did my best to not pay attention and keep myself sane.
"Here check here." I heard an unfamiliar voice outside the tent making me alert.
I shook Draco who didn't seem to care less about what is going on around him just to tell that someone outside.
"Watch and see Mademoiselle." He pointed at the door where 3 of the enemies entered.
The enemies looked around before landing thier gazes at us.
"Wohoo- hoo what do we have here?" One of them asked as they come closer.
"Uh Drac, i think we should-" before i could even finish my sentence Hephaestion came like a knight in shining armour ready to save me.
He pulled the man that was trying to come closer to me before giving him a good punch in the face.
He angrily grabbed his collar and took a knife from his pocket burying it straight to his heart.
I gasp in shock. So this is the Hephaestion, the books and articles are right he is a great soldier.
The other two soldiers that saw what happened became alot furious as they look at the lifeless body of thier comrade slowly falling dowm the ground.
"Arg! You'll pay for this!" The 2cnd shoulder shouted and picked up the deads man sword.
Both of the soldiers attacked in synchronisation but He swiftly dodged all the attacks and killed then expertly with his sword.
I gulped at the tension in the air. I was happy that he came back but I'm horrified at what i saw. Right, killing is normal for him.
"Margaux are you okay?" He worriedly ask while caressing my cheek. His arms, face, chest.. his whole body is covered with blood.
"I-i am.." i stammered failing to show my feisty side.
"It's okay. I'm sorry that you have to see that, looks like your still afraid. I promise i won't do that again in front of you." He whispered before stomping on the edge of the sword on the ground, it twirled mid-air then he catched it effortlessly.
"Protect your sister at all cost. I have so much more to do with her." He said before throwing the sword at Draco.
"Yes brother." He obediently saluted and held the sword tightly.
"But Heph- mmm," he stopped me by kissing me in the lips.
"I'll be okay. Now be safe." He winked and walked away from the tent.
"Wha? Wasn't that too fast? When did you too start doing that?" Draco has his jaw dropped at the scene.
"Doing what exactly?"
"That-- the, the that thing!"
"What thing?" I asked while making an innocent face.
"Well you know! That mushing thingy!" He frustratedly asked.
I rolled my eyes at him and went back below the table.
"Draco, i think i like him." I whispered.
"Ya think?" He asked sarcastically.
"Ugh, just protect me. I don't have time to talk with you." I grumpily looked at him.
He sighed and walked outside of the door. I took a deep breath hoping for everything to stop.
"Ah!"

'W-who are you?' I took a step back, nervous at the woman before me.
Why do we look exactly the same?
'Your stealing him away from me!' She yelled while she swings the sword at my place.
I swiftly dodged her attack and ran up the stairs.
'Help! Anyone help me!' I helplessly cried, while running as fast as i can reaching the flat rooftop.
'Oh ha-ha, no where left to run i see?' She laughed hysterically while playing the sword with her hands.
I panicked. My feet started to feel wobbly, it feels like i can't take another step further.
'N-no i- i didn't.. what are you talking about?' I asked nervously.
She maniacally laughed and banged the sword on the floor. She she looked at me like i was a prey and she was my predator, ready to jump and kill me.
'Oh you know exactly what i am talking about Athena Margaux.' She gritted her teeth as she steps closer to me, cornering me at the edge.
I took a step back after another until i am ready to fall off the roof.
'He's mine!' Her nose flared, raising the sword up above the air.
I cried and covered my face with my arms.
Noo! Help! Hephaestion!? Where are you!?
Draco?
Anyone?
Help!!

"Hmm- Heph!" I shouted out loud making my bed stop moving.
Wait why is my bed moving anyways?
I rubbed my eyes to clear my vision. Hey i know this place, this is my carriage, isn't it?
I confusedly look around before bringing my attention at the door.
"Margaux?" It was Hephaestion popping out of the curtain looking at me relieved.
"Uh hi?" I awkwardly greeted and looked around.
"Did i over sleep?" I confusedly asked as i move closer to him.
"Wait, wait, no.." Heph stopped me. I frowned.
"Don't you like me to be with you?" I asked sadly looking down.
"Hey, it's not like that." Heph held my chin to look at him. "You need to rest Margaux."
"Huh why?"
"Don't you remember? What happened that night?" Drac reminded me.
"Wait that isn't a dream?" I asked confusedly as i look around. All the soldiers are looking forward and were not taking a single glace on us which was a relief.
"It isn't. See your not yet recovered so come on at take some more sleep. We are almost there already." He whispered while he holds on to my face.
I shook my head in response and slapped his hands away from my cheek.
"I want to ride with you. That would help me get relax and take a rest." I pouted making him sigh.
Heph looked at Draco for help but i gave him a sharp glare. Draco chuckled nervously and turned away with his horse.
"Very well." He raised his hands defeatedly and carried me to his horse.
Woah who changed me?
I waited for Heph to climb his horse but he didn't climb on the front, he climbed on my back.
"Uh Heph who changed me?" I whispered as i hold the rope together with Heph.
"Your brother." He replied before kicking the horse's butt to move.
I remained silent and watched him lead the way.

"How near exactly are we?" I asked when Heph decided to take a short break.
"We'll be there in a couple of hours." He said while he jumps down the horse.
He first carried me down before moving horse towards a tree shade to get out of the blazing sun. So hot.
He opened a compartment from his saddle and took out a piece of cloth where food is stored. He took a bread and gave it to me.
Wait hold on a sec.. Couple of what now? I clearly remember him saying that it would take 2 to 3 more days. How come?
"How long have i been asleep?" I asked as i take a bite.
"2 days." He whispered.
"Two what?" I looked at him shocked. "You've got to be kidding me right?"
"Nope. You sometimes wake up while shouting my name. I come as fast as i can to you every time specially that you started to have trust issues with my soldiers. Oh and i take that time to let you eat before you could even fall asleep again. It's a record today. You usually fall asleep after 10 minutes." He mumbled.
"Really? What happened?" I asked but he just remained silent.
That look.. something must have happen. I'll ask Draco later.
I pursed my lips and ate the whole bread.
"Okay drink this and let's go." Heph gave me a water bottle.
I gladly accepted it and drank it all.
What happened? And what have i missed?
