chapter 10

(Danny’s pov)

“well this is your room, there’s a toilet connected to it so you guys later wont have to leave your room to do your do” she said chuckling. “ ok misses Rees… I mean Clarissa. Thank you” I said chuckling. She left him to put and unpack their stuff.

While unpacking Scarlet’s clothes to their cupboard there was a know on the door. “come in” I said while carrying Scarlet’s stuff. The door opened and closed and Scarlet came in. “hey babe, how you feeling?” I asked while placing her stuff away. She moved towards the bed and sat at the edge and did a long sigh. He then moved to sit beside her also. “I feel exhausted. After spilling about your life from the pass 3 years takes a toll on you.” she tried to joke but no one laughed. ‘ahhh… my dad said John and his soon to be wife will be coming home in the evening. They left 5 minutes before we arrive to go discuss with the weeding planner about the finishing touches.” she said sleepily. “oh man we missed them. Oh well, we’ll see them later. In the mean time, why don’t you take a nap first it will do you some good, you look dead. I’ll finish unpacking.” I  gave her smile. “okay… thank you Dan, you’re the best.” Scarlet brought her lips to meet mine. Its wasn’t lusty just a simple kiss. I grazed her lower lip with my teeth, asking her for permission to enter but I was denied. I looked up to her eyes only to see them closed. I stop kissing her and lay her on the bed. I chuckled and shook my head “she fell asleep kissing me” I thought.

I went back to finish unpacking but doing it all quietly so that I wont disturb Scarlet. Once I was done I went down stairs to let Clarissa know I was going out to buy some stuff in the supermarket. I forgot to pack toothpaste. Dammit! “Clarissa if Scarlet wakes up looking for me tell her I went to the supermarket.” “okay dear, i will. Be safe” she said. “I will” with that said I closed the door behind me.

At supermarket

“that’ll be $5 sir” said the cashier lady. I handed her the money and took my toothpaste. “thank you come again”. I left the market and was walking through the car park. I dint take my car because it was just a 7 minute walk to this place. As I was walking I could sense someone following me. I stopped and turned around to see a group of about 6 teenagers. They look to be in their teens maybe 18 I though. I could smell that they were all wolves.  “They must be from the Bennett pack” I thought. “can I help you gentleman's” I asked innocently but I knew why they were here. Im a rogue on pack land without any permission to enter. I was considered a threat but they cant do anything to me here. I was cornered if they shift, I would be dead. I haven't shifted for 3 years now, if its not them shredding me to pieces, it would be the intense pain of my bones shifting. Luckily we’re in town, that means humans were everywhere it the shift here everyone would see. I have a slight advantage. Only a only a tiny bit advantage. Im stilled outnumbered.

“oh I think you know what we want rogue.” the head guy spoke. Im guessing he’s the big guy of the group. “look I don’t no trouble im just here on family business.” I said while slowly backing away. As I backed they moved closer. “what ever reasons you have, you don’t have permission to be in pack territory.” he said. “you rogues are nothing but filthy dogs coming here trying to hurt our love ones.” another one said. “ im not here to cause problems, it’s a free country im aloud to go where ever I please.” I spoke up. “ not here you ain’t. where’s the bitch? We saw you rogues travelling together” he demanded. I stopped in my tracks and looked at them with fury in my eyes and my jaw clenched. I dint care if I couldn’t shift and they could easily cut me like butter, but you threaten my fiancé your in deep shit. “none of your business dog. Go home to your master I think he’s calling you.” I spat with venom in each word. Calling a werewolf a dog is a big insult. They all trembled on their spot. Eyes blackening, some of them you could see their canines elongating. Okay… time to run! With that thought I turned around and sprinted to the house. I was running like my life depended on it.

I could see the house from here. I turned around to see if they were chasing me which they were. They’re catching up. Who am I kidding I cant out run them im practically human. As I was running, I dint see what was in front of me. All I knew was i tripped and fell face first on to the cemented floor. I groaned and tried to quickly stand up and run again but it was too late. I felt a hard kicked to my back and I fell down again. I was surrounded, no one was around to help or see what was happening. I was trapped.

I jus lay on the floor and surprisingly I was still holding the toothpaste I bought. “filthy rogue you wont get away with what you said” with that he kicked my in the face. I heard something crack. My nose started to bleed, I covered it with my hand. “ aww… cant face the truth that you’re a bitch waiting for your master’s orders?” I spat. I know I was in a bad position to talk back but I dint care. “you fucking rogue! We’ll teach you to respect us.” once he said that. The other 5 guys started punching and kicking me. I was hit in the stomach and chest, kicked at the back and my head. I was getting hit everywhere. I curled up in a fetus position groaning in pain. I couldn’t move, if I did it hurt like a bitch. I coughed out blood. My face was swollen with blue blacks, lip was busted open, eyes swollen shut I couldn’t really see. my shirt was stained with my blood. Hopefully my teeth was all still intact.

“look who’s talking now mutt. Grab him. The alpha wants to interrogate him.” he ordered. I couldn’t really hear what he was saying because I was too focus in the pain I was experiencing. I felt hands grabbing me and hoisting me up. I dropped the toothpaste to the ground. They carried me to the woods. I tried to keep my eyes open but I couldn't, the pain also wasn't helping. In the end, I felt darkness wash over me.
