chapter 12

(Blake’s pov)

“Baby lets go have some fun” I shivered when Gwen whispered in my ear. “ok babe, lets ok” I said. As I took her hand and was about to open my office door. It swung open. “sir sorry to interrupt, but my team captured the male rogue. He beaten up quite badly, because he disrespected us” Coby said. He is the head of the pack’s border patrol. “when we captured him and ask where’s the woman that with him, that’s when he insulted us and ran. We caught up to him and beat him down. He’s now in the cellar waiting for your orders” he said. “how badly beat is he?” I asked “ swollen face, busted lip, eyes swollen shut. Sir” Coby replied.  “ mind link the guards to leave the room but stand guard at the door. Im coming now” I spoke. “yes sir.” he bowed his head and left the room shutting the door. I turned to face a sad looking Gwen. “I know… alpha business.. Blablabla. Go interrogate him but come back soon… I .. Have.. A.. Surprise for you…” she whispered that last part slowly to my ear. I growled at that. She smirked and winked at me. I took a large gulp and headed to cellar.

I never really liked the cellar, it always gave me this creepy vibe but alpha duties comes first. “sir” the two guards standing beside the door bowed to me and open the door. I headed down until im face to face with the rogue. He was locked up in a silver cage. Man he looks like shit. What the hell did this guys do to get beaten up so badly I thought. He was curled up fetal position in the corner. I grabbed a chair near the door and dragged it to the front of the cell. It gave out a high screeching noise as I dragged it. The screeching sound got his attention. He slowly lifts his head and open his eyes but groans in the process.

“who are you and why are you and this women in my lands?” I spoke with authority, I pushed my alpha powers on him to answer me. “what’s it to ya?” he spat back. My wolf dint like being talked back, he wants to come out and rip his head off for disrespecting him but I help him back. “I am an alpha, this is my land and you will answer me not the other way around” I said. “ why I came here is none of your business, all dogs attacked me when I did nothing but walk out of a supermarket. They chase me, beat me up and most of all, insults my friend” he spat back with venom. He is starting to piss me and my wolf off. “you deserved what you got” I spat back “your nothing but a filthy rogue”. “if you wont state why you’re here, you’ll leave me no choice but to kill you and the woman that followed you” I spoke but after I said that, his eyes shot open and he jumped up causing me to back up and the chair to fall. “YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HER!” he roars. “oh I think will have my fun with her first. I’ll make her scream my name. once that’s done I’ll slowly slit her throat.” I said. I know im not that evil to go to that point but I need answers why their here.

He’s body was trembling and his eyes were going black. I waited for him to shift and try to attack me through the silver bars, but what shocked me was, he screamed. I was shocked and confused on why he was doing this. He feel to the floor hugging his body screaming in agony. I heard bones cracking but no shifting. Huh? His whole body was bent in a weird angle, he kept screaming. Minutes passed it finally stopped, his bones went back to normal. I watched him laying on the ground panting loudly. Sweat was covered all over him. I kept thinking what the heck just happened and then it clicked. I’ve seen this once before but it was many years ago.

“He cant shift, I mean he can but its going to take a long time and a lot of practice. There can be many reasons why he cant, but judging him I think he haven't shifted in a long time. No wonder Coby’s team could catch him so easily. Its strange for a rogue not to shift and let their wolf control them. I guessed when I talked about his woman, his wolf and him snapped, tired to attack me by shifting but only to cause unbearable pain to themselves.” I thought. I was still thinking but snapped out of it when I heard him wheezed something.

I moved towards the silver bars and squatted down to the same level as him. “what did you say?” I asked hoping he’s finally going to tell me what I need to know. He turned around quickly and gripped my throat but it wasn't a strong hold, I mean after an ordeal like that im impress he can still try and chock an alpha. I gave a stoic face. “don’t you dare touch her… your evil to even suggest raping her. You are no alpha… your noting but a scum bag.” he said wheezing. I pried his hand off me. This is going no where, he’s not going to tell me anything. “ Guards!” I called. The sound of the door opening and closing with footsteps coming down the stairs. The two guards stood in front of me. “yes alpha?” they said in unison. “Bring the prisoner outside” I commanded. “yes alpha they bowed their heads and proceeded to opening and taking the prisoner out.

As I head up stairs to the front yard where the prisoner was being held on both sides. People were starting to gather around the place too see what’s going on. I walked up to him. “im giving you one last chance, tell me who you and the woman are and why are you  doing in my territory?” I used my alpha tone on him , he should answer now but instead he laughed. I clenched my jaw and kicked him in the stomach. “TELL ME!” I boomed. He coughed and spat the blood on to my shoe. “GO FUCK YOURSELF” and he continued laughing like a mad man. He really wants to die? Fine! I’ll give him what he wants. “so be it” I said.

My hands shifted, fur sprouted out and claws elongate. I raised my hand aimed to ripped out his throat. As my hand descends, he closes his eyes. With an inch closer to ending his pathetic life, someone rams into me, causing both of us to fall backwards. Gasps and whispers started, but I wasn't paying attention to that. I was focusing on the sparks I was feeling on my body. No… could it be… I looked up and was faced to face with the most angelic face I have ever seen. My eyes were budging out “Scar.. Scarlet…?” I whispered shockingly.
