chapter 15

“ugh…” groaned Scarlet. She slowly opens her eyes while bringing her hand to rub the back of her head. She felt like she got hit by a train. When her eyes finally adjust to the surrounding, she examines her surrounding. “shit, where the hell am i?” she thinks. Scarlet slowly crawls out of bed but was stop when she hears a groaning sound. She tries to pin point where the sound came from. “ugh…”. It was coming from the cell beside her. Slowly getting up and carefully approaching the other cell. She notices a person clumped at the corner, looking badly beaten up.

“hello…” she calls to the person. “Sc.. Scarlet… I is that you…” she barely made out his whisper. Her eyes grew wide when realization hits her. “fuck! Danny is that you? Shit!” Scarlet whispered scream. “ya…” he said. “look imgona get us out.” she whispered. “ saving the damsel in distress…” he tried to joke. “ now is not the time Danny! Can you move?” she whispered. “ I can still feel my legs but im too weak to move.” he whispered back. “do you have a plan?” he asked. “uhmm…”. “ shit scarlet! Please tell me your joking?!” he whispered screech. Danny slowly tries to turn his body to face her. “I had a plan actually, but now we’re here so the planed changed…” she said. “fuck”. “don’t worry we’re gona get out of here.” she tried to reassure him.

The sound of a door opening startled them. Danny closed his eyes and tried to pretend to sleep while Scarlet silently jumped back to bed and did the same. The sound of multiple footsteps could be heard and finally it came to a halt.

‘I know your awake Scarlet” that deep soothing voice spoke. Blake. She tries to play dumb. She still dint move. The sound of the cell unlocking and footsteps entering the cell. Sparks erupted from her shoulder. With her plan already formulated in her mind she brought it to action.

She grabbed his hand and twisted it. She quickly got up while holding his twisted hand. Blake tried to grab her and she ducked. She punched him in the stomach. “oomph… scarlet I don’t want to hurt you.” he said. The guards were coming to aid their alpha but they were too slow. By then Scarlet was already behind Blake while his twisted hand at his back. “good… this makes it easier…” she whispers in his ears. “stop moving forward or your alpha gets hurt.” I spoke. Instantly they stopped. “I cant believe I can take an alpha without my wolf” Scarlet thought to herself.

“sorry Scarlet… I was being easy on you.” he said. “shit I must have said it out loud” I think. Before I can react, he turned the tables on to me. I moment I was holding his the next, I was pined down on the floor with both my hand behind my back.

“oomph!” I groaned. “don’t you dare touch her! Get away from her!” Danny shouted. He tried to her up from the bed only to fall back down. He’s still to weak. “get away you fucking animal! Don’t touch her! I’ll speak! Just don’t touch her” he cried at the last end. He was going to rape and kill her. He has to stop it, he has to save her.

Scarlet was confused. “what the hell are you talking about Danny?” thinking to herself. She was yanked out of her thoughts when rough hands grabbed both her wrists. She was being lead out of the cell while Danny was carried out, he was still to weak to move.

As they were being lead out of the cellar to Blake’s office. The pack were starring at them and whispering away. More people were gathering to see them.  When Scarlet looks up. She looks at their shocked faces. “I cant be…” one of the woman said. “oh my god, is that Scarlet” “she looks like her”. She could her them talking about her and she just kept walking.

Scarlet examines the place. It hasn't change at all well except the wall colors. It use to be white, now its grey. Everything still in place, you would think after 3 years they would buy new furniture but sadly, no. they came to a halt, she was so caught up the looking at the place she dint see them stopped. She went right smacked to the guard’s rock solid back. “oww…” she whined. Se tried to rub her nose but her hands were held. The guard gave her a low growled and Blake growled at the guard. He whimpered back with his head bowed. She rolled her eyes.

Blake pushed open the large double doors and entered his office. The guards brought them in and place Scarlet and Danny on the chairs facing Blake’s.“leave” Blake commanded. The 3 guards bowed their heads and left.

Once they were out, Blake turns his attention to the two rogues. “why did you come to our territory?” he asked. Danny tries to speak but wan silence when Scarlet spoke. “you don’t have to tell him anything Danny” Scarlet said while staring at Blake right in the eyes. “no… he’s going to hurt you” he said while coughing. “no he’s not” she said. “Scarlet just tell him… you don’t know what he said to me about you. Please just tell him!” he tried to reason with her. “no! this bastard here will not get shit out of us.” she said. “enough!” Blake boomed. “you both are rogues in my land with no permission what so ever. We have the right to kill you or you answer our questions with valid reasons” he said. “why are you here? Why did you come back Scarlet? Why did you leave and who is this man?” Blake stood up almost knocking the chair over. Scarlet stood up also, challenging him. She opens her mouth and says “it’s a free country Blake, we do as we please.”.

Blake eyes starts turning midnight black. He was shacking, fighting with his wolf. His wolf wanted to put this rogue in her place for not only disrespecting but challenging him. But all stops when they both remember this is their mate.

He sighed. “please Scarlet. Talk to me. If you guys don’t speak up the pack law states any rogue that trespasses will be killed.”. There was a long pause. It was cut off when Scarlet spoke “we don’t come here as rogues but humans”. Blake was confused. “what?” he said. He heard them loud and clear but dint understand what she meant.

“that’s all there is… we don't shift, we don’t have the strong sent of rogues. You can smell it, its mixed, we only have apart of the sent because we left the pack. We’re practically human, our wolves' dint take over us. You cant kill us.” she stated.

“what ever reasons you may have, you are still a rogue trespassing in our lands and have you forgotten you attacked me!” Blake shouted. “what was I suppose to do? Huh?! Let you insult and humiliate me again? i had enough of that when you rejected me! now you want me to just stand there and watch you kill my fiancé?!” she shouted back. Scarlet’s body was trembling with rage. Gritting her teeth. Her hands balled up to fists.
