chapter 19

(John’s pov)

“She back… she’s actually back… thank you moon goddess for hearing my plea. Thank you, thank you thank you! So much!” I thought. My eyes were shut, both hand clapped together thinking what else to say and do for the moon goddess but was interrupted. “john… you’ve been sitting there for almost three hours now. Let’s go sit at the couch?” Susan said. I turned to face her. The concerning eyes were starring at me. She was standing at the doorway with her arm extended for me to take it. Man I love her. I love her more than I love breathing and best of all. This amazing women standing right in front of me is my mate. My sweet, funny, caring mate. Im the luckiest man to have her as my wife. Sometimes I feel im not good enough for her… she deserves someone that can give her everything… all the love and the happiness.

I was once again brought out of my thoughts. “hunny… hunny? Your dreaming again” she chuckled. I shook my head and slowly push myself up. “sorry dear. I was just thinking how beautiful you look and how lucky I am to have you.” I said. She moved closer to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. While my hands snaked around her small waist. “I love you Susan. I love you to the bottom of my heart.” I said in all honesty. She smiled back at me and said “ I love you too Johnny”. With that she tilted her head and brought her lips to mine.

Once our meet, it was like the first time we kissed all over again. It was like fire works. Every little sensation of electricity flowing around us was euphoric and it was only just a gentle kiss. She parted her lips and she looked at me. Her dazzling blue orbs boring into mine. She smiled “ let’s go out. After three hours of thanking her, I think the goddess get’s your point.” she chuckles. “but im not done I still have so many things to say” I chuckled back. “you can do it after you get a break. Let’s just relax for a bit okay?” said Susan. I sigh and replied “okay…”. She untangles her arms around my neck while I untangled mine too. She stood beside me and took my and in hers’. I did one last glance at the mini shrine I made and said “thank you”.

(Scarlet’s pov)

I open my eyes slowly. It was dark. Ugh… how long was I asleep? I slowly got up from the bed. I was still slightly sore but more better just now. I turn to the edge of the bed and got down. Ah! Cold floor. Man I wish my werewolf abilities were better, by now I would have been up and running. Damn you wolf. Why did you have to leave me. Even if you did, you could have at least not taken half my abilities. Great now im talking to myself! I did a long sigh.

I moved to the door and slowly open it. As it open it creaked. I poked my head out and to the left and to the right. There were many doors along the corridor but no one in sight. I open the door a little wider for me to get out.

I tried taking a whiff to see if I could find Danny’s scent. Jack pot! Its coming from the left corridor. I followed the scent leading to the 3 door from mine. I could hear beeping sounds. I slowly open the door and to find Danny in a hospital gown. His arms were covered in wires and tubes. Beside his sleeping form was a machine. It was beeping. I looked at the screen, his vitals looked stable. “beep… beep… beep…”.

I move to stand beside him. I stared at him. He looked so at peace. It brought a smile to my face. I lifted my hand and softly caressed his cheek. It was soft but a bit stubbly due to not shaving yet. All in all he looked better. The cuts and bruises were healing. I guess I was so deep in thought I dint notice him stirring in his sleep. Soon his eyes were open and looking right at me. He opens his mouth to speak but coughs instead. I looked around for water and saw a glass on top the small drawer. I picked it up carefully because I dint trust myself I was still sore and could spill the drink. I slowly brought it to the mouth. He gulped down the water much like how I did a few hours ago. Once he finished I placed the glass away and stood beside him again.

“hey gorgeous… how are you feeling?” he softly says. I giggled at that remark. “Danny your amazing, even after all the crap you’ve been through. Your asking me how in feeling? I should be asking you that.” I said. I sandwich my hand in one of his and gave a small squeeze. “but im asking you” he gave a small smile to me. I smiled back to him and said “ im fine, just a little sore but it’ll go away soon.”. “then you shouldn't be walking around or even standing. I don’t want you hurt. Come sit.” Danny scooted a side so there was enough space for me to sit. He patted the spot for me to come. “no Danny your hurt more than me. I should be the one doing this for you. I don’t mind standing.” I tried to reason with him but he just shakes his head. There was no point in arguing with him. I sighed and sat on the edge of the bed careful not to sit on the wires and tubes.

“now was that so hard?” he joked. I laughed and faced him. “no it wasn’t”. I was still holding his hands. Even in the most terrible of situations, he still manages to make us laugh. “how are you feeling?” I asked. “like I got chased, beaten up, locked in a cage and almost got my head chopped off” he joked. “Danny this isn't funny” I turned serious. “sorry sweetie I dint mean to make you angry, I just wanted to lighten up the mood.” he said. “ah… its fine…”. “ you know I had a friend that said if a women says she’s fine. She’s actually not fine and you better get ready cuz shit is coming your way.” he laughed at his own joke. I giggled, ya it was true. Kind of.

I not fine, he dint do anything and he got all the shit from Blake. Hurting me is one thing but you mess with my fiancé and family, your gonna be in hell.

“hey your dreaming again. I can see it in your face, your lips turn all pouty. So what were you thinking?” Danny asked. “ huh? Oh  I was just thinking of staying here with you until you get better.” I said. He looks at me like he knows im lying but doesn't push for more. “okay. Im getting better. we’ll get out maybe in a few more hours.” Danny moves to the left side of the bed so I can sleep on the right. I lay down on the bed careful of the wires and tubes. I turn my body to face his. He looks at he and smiles as do I . It was a peaceful silence. Soon enough, Danny eyes start to droop and falls asleep while I remain awake just looking at him sleep.
