chapter 7

*click clack click click clack*

" babe... come back to bed.. its too early for you to be writing" whined Danny. "just let me finish this chapter, Im almost done" replied Scarlet. " I cant sleep anymore... the typing sound is keeping me awake." Danny got up and did a stretch. He moved behind Scarlet and her a hug from the back with a peck on her the cheek. " eww.. Morning breath! Go brush your teeth and then I'll stop kay?" said scarlet while pushing Danny to the toilet. " so apparently to get you to stop writing I gotta have morning breath is that what your saying" he jokingly said. She playfully slapped him on the head. " ouch! Are you always this violent in the morning?" she tried to hit him again but he ducked and ran to the toilet. Before closing the door, he stuck out his tongue to her. " really, really now? Your going to stoop to that level?" said Scarlet while shaking her head.

While Danny was cleaning up, Scarlet when back to her table and opened her drawer to reveal her parent's letter. "Damn how am I going to tell Danny?". She took a long intake of air and slowly release it with a sigh.

(At the kitchen)

After Danny finished getting ready, they went down stairs to the kitchen. Scarlet sat at the counter while Danny was busy cooking up breakfast for both of them. Scarlet in deep though, debating whether to go visit her family or not? Danny notices this because of how Scarlet's eyebrows would scrunch up and her lips pouted. "dear something on your mind" asked Danny. She looks up to him and says " ya there is... its about the letter that day". Realization hits him. "it must be something to do with the family" he thinks but says "wanna talk about it?". " ya but first I think you should read this" she stood up and passed himthe paper and he started reading it. Once he was done, helooked up to her and said "I think you should go, its your brother's weeding. If you don't your gonna regret it. But.. You don't want to see Blake. Am I right?". Scarlet dint say anything but nodded. "let's have food first and after that we'll discuss it okay?" Danny said. "sure"

Once they where done, Danny cleaned and kept the plates away. He walked towards Scarlet in the living room. They both sat on the couch together.

"okay lets get started" Danny clasped and rub his hands together. "ugh... this is serious Danny... im in a dilemma on whether to go or not." whined Scarlet. " I know dear.. I was just trying to lighten up the mood.. Ok I'll be serious now" with that said, Danny tried to put on serious face which was epically failing. Scarlet giggled and then sighed. " as you can see I wanna go to my brother's wedding. It's a once in a life time opportunity. As like you said, if I don't go, im going to regret it. I want to see my mom and dad, I miss them like crazy! But... its just that.... that bloody useless mate of mine that's going to be there. What im I going to do? What if I see him again and I breakdown? I don't think I can pick myself up again even with your help Dan.." Scarlet whispered the last part to herself but Danny heard it. " its ok darling I'll be there with you all the way, I made that promise to you on the very first day. I'll protect you from his stupidity if that's what you wish. I want you to be happy. You should go and spend time with your family and watch John's wedding. You have every right to go home, be happy and do what the hell you want to do, you dictate your life not that fool." Danny said in a serious tone. This made Scarlet smile and slowly looked up to him " will you join me?". Danny grinned and said" way ahead of you babe, im already planning how we're getting there.". Scarlet pulled him into an embrace and spoke "I love you Dan...". "I love you too Scar" and hugged her back.

They book the flight tickets to Texas and a taxi to take them to the airport. "hunnydo we have everything set?" shouted Danny. Danny was at the door waiting for Scarlet to come down while he holds their luggage " ya everything set, just let me get my phone" Scarlet shouted from upstairs. Scarlet grabbed her phone and headed down to the main door. " ok im ready" she happily replied. Scarlet was so excited to finally meet the family after 3 years of not seeing them. She hopped down the driveway to the awaiting taxi with Danny behind her while pulling the luggage. She jumped in to car and waited for Danny to put stuff into the trunk. Once everything was set and the house was doubled check, Danny got in and they headed to the airport.

The drive took about an hour, he paid the taxi man and got the luggage out while Scarlet looked for a trolley. She came back and they place the stuff on the trolley. They got to the check in counter to get their tickets and headed to the departure area. Scarlet was super excited that she started to dance to the waiting area. People stared starring at them but she dint give a rat's ass about them. She was going to meet her ma, pa and John. "woa, easy there tiger your gonna need your energy for later" Danny joked.

* Ding, Ding, flight 113 is now ready for boarding. Flight 113 to Texas is now ready for boarding* the intercom stated.

They got their stuff and headed up the plane. Scarlet took her seat while Danny placed their luggage on the over head compartment and sat down beside Scar. " excited?" asked Danny. " hell ya! Lets do this!" said a grinning Scarlet. "ha ha. The flight going to be 4 hours, why don't you take a nap and I'll call you when the food arrives?" suggested Danny. she kissed Danny on the lips and said " ok sure". Scarlet lay her head on Danny's shoulder and closed her eyes. Soon enough, she drifted off to sleep.

"wakeywakey" Danny said. "huh... what... where.." said Scarlet groggily. "you food's here, I got you the chicken meal" said Danny. "oh.. Thanks" she sat up and stared at the food for awhile. " something wrong? I can get it change if don't want it.". "no its ok, im just a bit tired that's all" she said and started opening the cover. Her tummy grumbled to the delightful smell. "uhmm.. Smells nice, I cant see why people hate airplane food. I seem to love it." said Scarlet. "well then eat up, we're going to land soon" said Danny. She nodded and started to eat.

*this is your captain speaking, we'll be landing in Texas in 5 minutes. Thank you for flying with us and have a safe trip.*

Scarlet took a big breath and released. Okay this is it. She latched on to Danny's hand and intertwine her fingers between his.

The plane touched the ground and it shuddered a bit. Once it was parked, the seatbelts sign went off. They undo their belts, grab their stuff and headed to the baggage collection area. When they got their luggage, they hailed a taxi and put their stuff in the boot. " you nervous?" asked Danny. " ya I am, my hands are shaking. What if they see me and get angry? Maybe they don't want to see me? What if they shou..." Scarlet's rambling was silenced by Danny crashing his lips on to hers. she grabbed his hair with one hand while her other hooked around his neck. Danny moved his hands around her waist and hoist her up to him. She lifted and lock her legs around his waist. Unfortunately, their make out was cut shorted by a someone coughing. It was the taxi man, he seem anxious to want to get going. Scarlet totally forgot they were doing it in the public. Worst of all, it was in front of the airport. Her cheeks instantly flamed red and she quickly unhook herself from him. Danny laughed at her reaction and got hit on the head " ok ok sorry, come on, lets go". They both got in the taxi.
