Alex moves forward to put his hand on his sister's shoulder. Luke's eyes widen as he grabs Alex's shoulder and pulls the boy back. Reggie and Alex look back at Luke and give him a 'what the hell' face. He subtly shakes his head before he puts his pointer finger in the air and moves it in a circle, letting the boys know that they need to leave the girls alone. The three boys disappear and poof outside so they can talk about what they just witnessed.
Luke goes up on his toes so that he can look to see if Julie knew they were there, he also wants to catch a glimpse of Angelina's face. Alex throws his hand out toward Luke as he asks, "Oh, dude, why'd you stop me? Julie needs a hug and that was my sister. Apparently it's been twenty-five years since the last time I saw her. It's been what felt like an hour for us and words can't describe how much I have missed her in that time."
Luke turns back to the boy while smirking and says, "Bro, a ghost hug isn't the feel good moment that you think it is. Alright?" He adjusts his sleeveless jacket before continuing to speak, "Trust me. What Julie and Angel need right now is just a bit of privacy. Besides Angel has waited for us for twenty-five years, I think she can wait just a little bit longer."
"You know what? I think you poofed us out because you can't handle when other people cry," Alex states as a matter of fact while he leans toward Luke and points his finger at the lead singer. Reggie crosses his arms over his chest while Luke looks at Alex with wide eyes since the blonde knows the real reason that Luke didn't want him to comfort Julie and his sister. "I should know," Alex speaks back up as he turns and looks between both boys. Luke shakes his head with a 'what are you talking about?' look on his face. "I cried in a room for twenty-five years, and I didn't get a single hug from either of you," Alex emotionally says as he gestures between the two boys before going on, "And I just want to see my twin sister."
Reggie uncrosses his arms and holds them out, moving toward Alex while saying, "Alright. Bring it in."
Right before Reggie could hug Alex, the emotional blonde holds up his hand and sternly says, "Don't touch me!" Reggie backs away with a look of disappointment on his face. Alex brings his hand down and puts it in his pocket.
Reggie rolls his eyes and mutters under his breath, "This is why no one hugs you." The other two boys heard the raven haired boy, causing the Mercer boy to roll his eyes at the oblivious Peters boy.
Luke speaks up, looking between Alex and Reggie, "Okay. So, I-I think the first thing we should do once we get the courage to go in there," he glanced at the studio before continuing, "Is ask Julie...," he pauses, "Why she lied about playing the piano."
"Yeah, you know, maybe tell her how amazing she is," Alex suggests as he shrugs. Flynn opens the gate and walks through it before turning to close it.
Luke nudges Alex's shoulder and says, "Yeah, course, bro."
"Okay," Alex sarcastically remarks as he pats Luke's arm. Flynn is now walking down the steps that lead to the studio.
The two boys turn to Reggie as he speaks, "She's legit. We already knew that Angelina's talented. The two of them sounded amazing singing together. I got ghost bumps." He lifts up his leather clad arm and gestures to it. Flynn walks by the three boys sobbing quietly as she heads toward the studio. The three boys watch her walk by with concerned looks on their face, Luke is speechless because there is another girl who just so happens to be crying.
When Flynn opens the door and walks into the studio, Alex leans forward and asks Luke, "Oh my gosh. Was she crying too?"
"Yes!" Luke panics as he turns back to Reggie and Alex. "The only thing scarier than one girl crying," Luke says as he holds up one finger. "Is two girls crying," Luke finishes the sentence as he holds up two of his fingers. "And do you know what's even worse than two girls crying?" Luke asks the two boys as he still panics. When Alex and Reggie don't answer him, Luke shouts quietly, "Three girls crying!"
Reggie nods his head while Alex turns to the raven haired boy and says, "He's right."
Luke huffs before adding on, "Guys, we definitely can't go in there."
Reggie licks his lips and shakes his head before offering, "But we can listen." He runs over to the doors of the studio. Alex pats Reggie's back as he goes by before the Mercer and the Patterson boy follow after the raven haired Peters boy. Once at the door, they peak in through the windows that are in the door.
Julie is looking down at the keys of the piano. Angelina reaches out her hand and tries to rub Julie's back but her hand passes right through the girl. Angelina frowns and retracts her hand. Flynn sets her backpack down by the door and walks toward the piano saying, "Carlos told me you'd be out here." At the sound of Flynn's voice, the two girls look up at her and the boys immediately duck down so that they can't be seen by Julie or Angelina. Flynn continues to walk toward the piano while continuing, "We need to talk."
Julie furrows her brows and puts the music sheet onto the piano. She gathers up the papers while asking, "Are you okay?"
Flynn lifts up her hands and exclaims, "No, I'm not okay! You just got kicked out of music!"
At this Angelina falls off the piano bench in shock and shouts, "Wait, What!?" She expectantly looks at Julie for an answer but the Molina girl just ignores her.
"I've been up all night thinking about what I was gonna say. Might've drank seven sodas, but... I need to get this out," Flynn says as she rests her elbows on the piano. Angelina gets up off the floor. She steps onto the piano bench next to Julie before climbing onto the piano. Julie glances at Angelina, who is now sitting on the piano with her legs criss crossed looking at Flynn, before glancing back to her best friend.
Julie throws out her hands to stop the girl from talking as she says, "Wait. I have something to tell you-"
"No, it's my turn to talk," Flynn cuts Julie off. Angelina looks to Julie and then turns her attention back to Flynn. She puts her elbows onto her plaid pants and rests her head on top of her fists. Julie puts her hands down into her lap and hears Flynn out, "You can't give up music. Your music's like a gift, that would be a tragedy. So, you're basically, like, canceling Christmas, and I love Christmas!"
Julie cuts in again, "Flynn, I-"
She is once again stopped by Flynn who says, "Uh-uh!" Julie leans back while Flynn goes on, "When we were six, we promised to be in a band together. Double Trouble."
Julie shook her head saying, "I never agreed to that name."
Flynn rolls her eyes and sighs. She walks around the piano and goes over to Julie saying, "That's not the point." Julie slides closer to Flynn on the piano bench and Angelina turns a little bit so she can look at both girls while still sitting on the piano. "Jules, if you leave the music program, we'll be apart forever. That's just what happens. Sure we'll see each other in the hall sometime, but... we'll have different lives, make new friends," Flynn tells Julie as she waves her hands around.
Julie shakes her head before saying, "That's not true."
"You're right. I won't be making any new friends. And the only time we'll contact each other is when we'll be liking each other's posts on Instagram. And every time I'll be hitting that little heart, my heart will be breaking because my best friend left me," Flynn says as she pretends to be liking a post on Instagram with her hands while she continues, "And... Uh, Do you have any soda? My head hurts." Flynn puts her hand to her head and scrunches up her face in pain.
When Flynn finally stops talking, Julie speaks up, "Can I talk now?"
Flynn removes her hand from her head and sighs before replying, "Fine."
Julie takes a deep breath before saying, "I just played the piano and sang again."
Flynn looks at the piano and then back to her best friend while exclaiming, "What? Why didn't you just say so?"
"I was trying, and then your seven sodas kicked in," Julie says as she gestures to Flynn.
Flynn beams in excitement before saying, "I'm so happy for you! And me!" Julie shakes her head and giggles at her best friend. Flynn sighs before speaking up enthusiastically, "Look at you, looking all, I don't know, alive again." These words made Angelina smile. Julie may look alive again, but Angelina feels alive again. This is something the girl hadn't felt since before Rose passed away. Losing Rose was like losing the three boys from Sunset Curve all over again. She doesn't think she can go through that type of pain again.
Julie smiles and says, "Right? It's like I drank seven sodas."
It's quiet for a minute before Flynn furrows her brows and asks, "What made you play again?"
Julie turns her head and glances at Angelina. When the blonde ghost notices the girl looking at her she smiles, knowing that she had a hand in Julie playing again. Julie then looks down at the song that was next to Angelina and the journal, she slides it toward Flynn, responding, "I found this song my mom wrote me."
Flynn picks up the song and looks at it. Scanning over the words of the song she lets out, "Whoa." She then places the sheet music back onto the piano.
Julie nods her head before sighing, "I know. I was so afraid to play it. Anything involving music reminds me of her. And then I woke up this morning... realizing that's why I should play it. To keep her memory alive." Angelina wipes away a few tears that had escaped from her eyes.
Flynn lightly chuckles and holds out her hands before saying, "Aw! Come here." Julie gets up and hugs her best friend. Flynn lets out a gasp and Julie backs out of the hug. They keep their hands on each other's arms while Flynn exclaims, "We need to tell Mrs. Harrison you can play so you can stay in school and my life won't be that sad picture I just painted for you." They both giggle. Flynn grabs Julie's hands and shouts out with joy, "My girl's back." She sharply turns and throws her fist in the air exclaiming, "Double Trouble lives again!"
They start to walk away from the piano, hand in hand. Julie waves goodbye to Angelina before grabbing the music sheet of the piano. "Not our band name," Julie reminds her best friend.
Angelina turns her head to watch them leave and shouts to Julie, "Good luck on trying to get back into the music program! I want you to tell me how it goes when you get home from school." Julie lets out a light chuckle.
"I gave you a T-shirt in the seventh grade that says otherwise," Flynn tells her best friend. They grab their backpacks and open the door to the studio. Angelina turns away from the girls and looks at her journal, which is still sitting on the piano. She picks it up and looks through it.
Meanwhile the boys pretend like they weren't listening to the conversation. Reggie sits down on the ground with his legs crossed; Luke leans his elbow on the door and rests his hand on his hip, looking directly at the two girls; and Alex pretends he is checking out the light fixture that is next to his head. Once Flynn is out of the studio, Julie shuts the door before noticing the boys and says, "Oh hey!" Alex and Reggie look over at the girl and Flynn turns around, thinking that Julie is talking to her. When Julie notices that Flynn is looking at her expectantly, she quickly says, "Let's hustle!" She jogs over to Flynn and the boys watch her movements.
Flynn turns around and starts walking up the steps and Julie follows her while turning to wave to the guys. Alex and Luke wave back to her while Reggie pipes up, "Don't worry! We weren't listening." Alex nods his head at Luke and the lead singer kicks the raven haired boy, who lets out a noise of surprise. Luke looks down at Reggie and glares at the Peters boy while Alex has a look of annoyance on his face.
Julie continues to wave goodbye and when Flynn notices her, she pretends that she is swatting away a fly, letting out, "Oh. Uh... Oh." Flynn looks around for the fly while Julie swats her hands through a bush. She giggles awkwardly while turning and pushing Flynn up the stairs. "Let's go," she says as she follows her best friend.
Angelina is still sitting on the piano, looking through her song journal. She comes across a song that is called Count Me In, which she wrote for her twin brother, Alex. She sets the journal down onto the piano and she poofs away and grabs Luke's guitar before poofing back onto the grand instrument. She starts to play the song that she had come across in her journal. The boys walk through the doors of the studio as Angelina, who has her back toward them starts to sing.
Angelina
Oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh
If I'm the sun then you're the moon
If you're the words then I'm the tune, yeah
If you're the heart, then I'm the beat
Somehow together we're complete, yeah
There are times my world is crumbling
And the rain is crashing down
But everywhere you are the sun comes out
Even when you're gone
I feel you close
You'll always be the one I love the most
You're in my heart
On my mind
You are underneath my skin
And anywhere, anytime
That you need anything
Count me in
Oh oh oh oh oh
Count me in
Yeah, Yeah
And I don't need to say a word, no
'Cause you know when I'm happy
And when I'm hurt
We're close as pages in a book
'Cause you make me feel better
With just one look
There are times my world is crumbling
And the rain is crashing down
But everywhere you are the sun comes out
Even when you're gone
I feel you close
You'll always be the one I love the most
You're in my heart
On my mind
You are underneath my skin
And anywhere, anytime
That you need anything
Count me in
Oh oh oh oh oh
Count me in
Yeah, yeah
'Cause we're two halves of the same big heart
That beats to our own drum
You're the shadow always by my side
One that who sometimes knows me better
Than I know myself
And I wish you were here with me tonight
Even when you're gone
I feel you close
You'll always be the one I love the most
(I love the most)
You're in my heart
On my mind
You are underneath my skin
And anywhere, anytime
That you need anything
Count me in
Oh oh oh oh oh
Count me in
Yeah, yeah
Oh oh oh oh oh
Count me in
Oh oh oh oh oh
Count me in
When she finishes the last note, Alex takes a small step forward and calls out, "Lina?" Hearing her brother's voice, Angelina whips her head toward the door to the studio and gasps seeing the boys that she has missed so much. She poofs off of the piano to put Luke's guitar away. The boys look at each other with confused looks on their faces. Angelina then appears in front of her brother. The three boys look at her as she slowly reaches out her hand to touch her twin in order to make sure that he is really there in front of her. When her hand makes contact with Alex instead of going through him, she throws her arms around him and starts sobbing. Alex wraps his arms around his twin sister.
"Oh my goodness!" the girl sobs out, "I can't believe you guys are here!" She poofs out of Alex's arms and appears in front of Reggie before hugging the raven haired boy, who smiles and reciprocates the hug. Luke can't keep his eyes off of the girl, glad that she's there with them and Alex looks around, confused on where his sister went. He smiles when he sees her hugging Reggie. "This is nice, I haven't hugged anyone in twenty-five years," she says as she squeezes Reggie. She then poofs away from Reggie and appears in front of Luke. She throws her arms around him and buries her head in his neck.
The brown haired boy wraps his arms around her and smiles while greeting, "Hey Angel."
She pulls back from Luke and asks the three of them, "Where have you guys been all this time?"
"We've been in this dark room for twenty-five years. We ended up back here last night when Julie played our demo," Alex tells her.
"Well, I'm glad you guys are here now," she tells them as she hugs her brother again.
Reggie hits Luke's arm as the twins pull out of the hug and look over at the raven haired boy, who says, "I wonder why Julie didn't tell us she could shred on the piano."
"And sing. That girl can sing," Luke says as he gestures to the piano. He looks back to them and quickly adds, "Not as good as you though, Angel."
The three ghosts look over at Alex as he theorizes, "It probably has something to do with her mom. You know? Must've been hard." He shrugs his shoulders before walking away.
"It was hard, on all of us," Angelina replies. When she sees the confused looks the boys are giving her she elaborates, "Julie's mom could see me too. We had gotten pretty close. She was an amazing person and it hit hard when she passed. I hadn't felt like that since I came back right after we died and I couldn't find you guys. I couldn't understand why I was here and you guys weren't here with me. Julie's mom helped me get through it. I'm getting better though, it helps that you guys are here now." She stuffs her hands into her pockets and sits down on the arm of the chair that is closest to the piano.
Alex gives his sister a sad smile before he turns back around and heads over to the ladder that leads to the loft. "Anyway, I really feel for her," he says as he climbs up the ladder.
Luke walks forward to the piano and says, "Yeah, but... now she's got music back in her life, just like us." He turns and throws his hands into the air while walking backwards.
Alex moves forward and leans over the railing of the loft while Luke puts his hands on the piano. "Yeah, I'm not sure you can call what we have a life," Alex tells the brown haired boy. Reggie nods his head in agreement and looks away from the two boys while Luke looks down at the piano. Alex walks away from the railing and looks at the stuff up there. When he finds bags of their clothes he shouts, "Oh hey, some of the clothes we left behind are still up here."
He picks up a black garbage bag and tosses it over the railing. Luke takes off his jacket as he moves forward and exclaims, "Sweet!" Angelina looks over to the brown haired boy. Alex throws another bag over the railing and Reggie catches it while giggling. "Oh, same clothes since '95, boys," Luke says as he takes his shirt off. He smells his shirt before kneeling down onto the ground in front of the bag full of clothes and looks for a new shirt to put on. Angelina's eyes widen and her face turns pink, while she turns her face toward the piano so that they can't see her tinted cheeks. Over the past twenty-five years, she has forgotten how much she really likes Luke and now, all the feelings are rushing back to her. Reggie nods his head and smiles while he looks back and forth between Luke, Alex, and Angelina.
Ray opens the door and walks into the studio with his eyes trained on a camera in his hands. Alex has another bag as he walks closer toward the railing. He throws the bag on the ground before looking down at Reggie. Julie's father walks forward and passes straight through the raven haired boy. Reggie exhales and groans before saying, "Oh, that was weird!" Luke has finally picked out a shirt and puts it on while still on the ground. Angelina looks over at the bassist once her cheeks are no longer flushed. Reggie stares at Ray exasperated before saying, "But somehow I can tell this man has a kind heart." He nods as he looks up at Alex, who has just sat down on the loft with his legs dangling in the air and his arms resting on the railing in front of him.
Ray looks around the studio and asks, "So, how've ya been?"
Reggie looks around for whoever the older man could be talking to before thinking that Ray must be talking to him. "Honestly, not that good," he stutters out to the man. Ray lifts up his camera to take pictures as Reggie continues talking, "See, we ate these hot dogs, and w-w-well we-"
He is cut off when Ray starts speaking again, walking to the side, "Julie sang for the first time this morning. Ah! She hadn't done that in almost a year. You would've loved it."
Reggie walks closer to the dad, nodding his head while saying, "Yeah, we saw 'cause we were... Oh!" He realizes that Ray is talking to Rose, not to the ghost boy. Ray takes a photo of the studio and Reggie waves his hand in the older man's face before adding, "Oh, I get it." Ray walks off to another part of the studio and Reggie looks up at Alex before looking at Luke and Angelina, shaking his head while whispering, "He... He's not talking to us."
"You are so lucky you can play bass," Luke retorts, still kneeling on the ground, to the Peters boy, who looks at his friend with a 'what's that supposed to mean?' face.
Swinging his feet in the air, Alex pipes up, "Pretty sure he's talking to Julie's mom."
Luke stands up from the ground as he and Reggie walk over to the piano while Ray stands next to it and says, "She's such an amazing young woman." He sets the camera down onto the piano and continues, "Every day she reminds me more and more of you."
Alex points over at Ray and shouts, "Called it."
"She does," Angelina says as she stands up and walks over to stand on the other side of the piano, next to Reggie.
Ray picks up the camera saying, "Oh, I'm, uh... I'm taking pictures for the real estate website. I don't really want to move, but... " He trails off as Alex walks to stand in between his two bandmates at the piano.
"I don't want you guys to move," Angelina says as tears well up in her eyes.
Ray places the camera back down onto the piano and he slides his hands across it as he moves in front of the bench while saying, "I guess it's best for Julie."
"Move?" Luke asks as he puts his elbows on the piano and Ray sits down on the piano bench.
"There's so many memories of Julie playing next to you with her imaginary friend, and.." the older man reminisces. Angelina smiles sadly, thinking about all the memories she had with Rose, as tears fall from her eyes. Ray chuckles as he continues, "Carlos trying to sing with his missing two front teeth."
Angelina laughs through her tears as she says, "Those were great times." Luke shakily breathes as he puts his hand over his mouth.
Reggie notices the lead singer of the band and says with tears in his own eyes, "Oh no, Luke, not you too." Alex looks over at the choked up boy with a quizzical look on his face.
Luke holds back his sobs as Ray stands up from the bench and walks behind it. Luke shakes his head and takes his hand off his mouth so he can talk, "He... He's talking about moving, but the poor guy, he doesn't want to move." He sniffles and looks back and forth from the group to the older man. Angelina poofs onto the other side of Luke and starts to rub his back, trying to comfort the crying boy. Ray leans back and takes a picture.
He looks around the studio and stands back up straight before saying, "It's like they grew up... out here." He gestures around to the room.
Tears start to fall from Reggies eyes and he states, "Oh man, now he's got me too." Reggie starts to fan his face, to dry the tears and Alex gives him a 'what the hell' look.
Alex throws his hand into the air and says, "Okay, how am I the emotional one? Angelina I can understand, but you two? Come on." He looks down at Luke, who wipes away his tears and gives Angelina a thankful smile, before the Mercer boy looks back up at Julie's father.
The group looks over at Reggie, who starts talking, "C-c-can we go see my family and see how they're doing?"
"Yeah," Alex says to the bassist before gesturing to Ray and continues speaking, "Yeah, listening to this feels... wrong." He looks over at Luke and Angelina, who nods her head agreeing with her brother.
Ray smiles and the group looks over to Julie's father when he starts to talk, "Hey, do you remember when the kids were at your sister's, and we came out here on our anniversary..." Angelina throws her hands over her ears, not wanting to hear anything else the man says especially when he gives a suggestive look.
Alex's mouth drops open and Luke is quick to agree, "Yeah. No, definitely wrong." He puts his hand on Angelina's shoulder before he poofs out of the studio.
â¢â¢â¢
When Luke and Angelina arrive at the beach where Reggie's house used to be, the boy turns to the girl and asks, "Was that my guitar you were using earlier?"
"Uh, yeah," the girl replies to him. She glances to the ground and looks back up at Luke admitting, "Using your guitar made me feel closer to you. You weren't there. Well, I thought you weren't there. Besides I missed you." She pauses for a second before quickly adding, "All three of you, I mean." Luke can't stop the smirk that grows on his face at the fact that she missed him.
When the other two boys arrive, the four of them look to where The Peters' house used to be. The three boys are surprised when they learn that instead of Reggie's house, a bike shop is there instead. Luke rests his arm on Reggie's shoulder as the raven haired boy gapes at his 'house' and says, "A bike shack right where my house used to be. Right here."
Luke uses his other hand to pat the boy's chest while telling him, "Yeah, I'm sorry, man."
"They made the Meyersons' house into a noodle shop. Why couldn't they have made mine a pizzeria or something?" the dejected boy says.
Alex gestures to the buildings in front of them saying, "They tore down the whole neighborhood."
Luke lets go of Reggie and walks forward to sit on the fallen tree in front of them while the sad boy says, "I guess my folks are gone."
Angelina moves closer to Reggie and wraps her arm around him, rubbing his arm to provide him some comfort. Alex turns to the raven haired boy and says, "No. Everyone's gone." Reggie crosses his hands over his chest and the blonde drummer continues, "Twenty-five years, gone." He looks to Luke, who glances down at the sand covered ground.
Angelina shoots her brother a glare while still rubbing Reggie's shoulder and says, "You're not making things better, Lexi."
"It's true, Lina. Friends, family, Bobby, everyone," Alex says to the four of them.
Reggie looks over to Alex and speaks up, "Bobby, that's right. I guess that vegetarian lucked out. What do you think happened to him?"
The raven haired boy nudges Alex as Luke pipes up, "He probably just got old like everybody else and moved on."
Alex throws his hand out to the side and asks, "Dude, how are you so casual about all of this? I mean don't you wanna figure out what happened?"
"Well let's be real for a second. It's not like we were that close to our families. My folks always regretted buying me that guitar," the Patterson boy remarks as he throws his arm out to the side. "Reggie, your parents were literally a fight away from a divorce," Luke continues as he gestures to the raven haired boy, who rolls his eyes and looks away. Angelina moves her head to catch the boy's attention. Once she had it, she gave him a reassuring smile and squeezed his shoulder. "Alex, I... Your parents were never cool again after you told them you were gay and that Angelina will love and support you for just being who you are, no matter what," he says to Alex while gesturing to both Mercer twins.
Alex throws his hand out to the side before saying, "Okay. None of us had it great. Alright? But at least we had something. You know, what do we have now? And before you say cool teleportation skills, just know I'm not entirely okay with that either. Alright? It tingles." Reggie looks at Alex like he understands what the blonde boy is talking about. "In weird places," Alex adds as he gestures wildly. Angelina gives him a concerned look and Reggie looks at him like he doesn't actually know what the blonde is talking about. Alex puts his hands in his pockets and looks out at the water.
"I'll tell you what we have," Luke says as he jumps to his feet, capturing the Peters boy and the Mercer twins' attention. He hops up onto the fallen tree and continues, "It's what we've had since the day we came together."
Angelina smiles as she lets go of Reggie and goes over to Luke, who holds out his hand to help her up onto the tree. She places her arm around the brown haired boy's shoulder as she says, "Boys, we have us."
Luke looks at Angelina and gives her a smile before turning back to the other two boys and says, "Angel is right. We're the only family we're ever gonna need. You know what else we have?"
"I'm gonna guess death breath," Reggie remarks and Alex looks at the raven haired boy with an annoyed look while throwing his hand up in the air.
Luke smiles and points at Reggie before saying, "Our music, you dork." He lets out a chuckle as he continues, "We have our music, you guys. People, actual people, can hear us play! Okay, they can't see us, fine, but they can feel us. If I had my guitar, I'd play for all these people right now. Just like what we used to do down at the pier."
"Yeah, they can't tip what they can't see," Alex sadly states to the brown haired boy.
Luke rolls his eyes before jumping down from the tree and walks over to the two boys while saying, "It's not about the tips, Alex. It's about playing music. Connecting with people. Making a difference in their day." He nudges the blonde's shoulder before backing up and continuing, "I just... I wish I had my guitar." The guitar appears in his hands as the force spins him in a circle. Angelina smiles before placing her hands on Luke's shoulders and jumping off the tree, landing right next to the boy.
The three boys look at the guitar in Luke's hands with shock. "Whoa! Whoa, that was rad. How'd you do that?" Reggie asks, pointing to the guitar while Alex rests his arm on Reggie's shoulder.
Luke furrows his brows and responds, stuttering, "I don't know. I-I-I mean, I wished for it, and then it came in my hands..." He trails off, too amazed to say anything else.
Reggie clapped his hands and crouched down. The three best friends stare at the raven haired boy, who has his eyes closed, shouting, "I-I-I wish I had a puppy." He opens his eyes to see if a puppy has appeared in his hands. When he doesn't see one, he closes his eyes again and says, "A hamster?"
He looks down at his hands again and comes up empty while Alex rolls his eyes, throwing his hands up in the air and says, "Okay."
Reggie closes his eyes once again and tries one last time, sighing, "Pizza?" When the pizza doesn't appear in his hands, he stands up straight. He then groans and turns around. He kicks up some sand and sits down on the ground in disappointment. Angelina makes her way over to the raven haired boy and puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, I think I know something that'll cheer you up," Luke says and the dejected boy looks up at him. The lead singer of Sunset Curve then starts to play his guitar.
Alex and Angelina walk forward and stand next to Luke, who looks at the blonde boy before he nods his head, gesturing to the blonde drummer. Alex looks back at Reggie, holds out his arms as he and his twin say, "Come on, Reginald!" Alex then starts to pat his chest and his thighs to the beat that Luke is playing. Reggie looks up at his three best friends and smiles. Angelina walks back over to Reggie and offers her hand out to him.
Luke
A one, two, three, four
Reggie grabs Angelina's hand and she helps him up from the ground as the boy starts to sing.
Reggie
Can you?
Can you hear me?
"Yep, loud and clear!" Alex tells the Peters boy.
We gotta get
Gotta get ready
Reggie runs and stands up on the tree, throwing out his arms. The other three ghosts follow him up onto the tree as well. Luke looks at his best friends and says, "'Cause it's been years!" Reggie jumps off the tree and skips to a palm tree. Alex, Luke, Angelina follow him.
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
They dance around the palm tree. Reggie spins Angelina around as she laughs. They make their way over to chairs lined up in the grass, where people are sitting.
This band is back
All
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
Reggie hops up on the first chair and dances on it.
This band is back
The raven haired boy hops onto the next chair. The surrounding people start to dance around to the music that the band and Angelina are playing.
Woohoo, ooh, ooh
Reggie then hops onto the next chair and continues dancing. Angelina spins around as she dances next to her brother.
Woohoo, ooh, ooh
Woohoo, ooh, ooh
Reggie hops onto the next chair. He puts his foot onto the back of the chair and snaps his fingers. Reggie hops off the wooden chair and makes his way over to a couple sitting on a blanket. Alex follows him as Angelina dances over to Luke. The brown haired boy smiles at the girl and the raven haired boy sings next to the couple.
Reggie

Reggie hops up on another chair and dances. When a guy passes by with a surfboard, Reggie sings in his face.

Alex

Reggie hops onto the next chair. As the group of four continue to dance and sing.
All
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
This band is back
Whoa, oh, oh, oh
This band is back
Standing on the chair, Reggie jumps over the back of it and lands on the ground. He puts his foot on a chair. The four best friends are singing around a couple sitting in the chairs. The woman is looking around for where the music could be coming from. Angelina is standing on the chair next to them and her twin is standing on the chair behind her. Reggie is dancing on one side of the couple and Luke is playing the guitar on their other side. The man tells the woman that she won't find a speaker since it's direct spot audio as the ghosts continue the song.
Woohoo, ooh, ooh
Woohoo, ooh, ooh
Woohoo, ooh, ooh
Alex hops off the chair and the three boys dance in a circle around the couple. Angelina is still dancing on the chair.
Whoo-ooh
Alex
Yee-haw
Luke and Alex dance away. Reggie dances over to Angelina and crouches down in front of her. The blonde girl hops onto his back. The three boys start to scat as the song comes to an end. Reggie turns around in a circle with the girl still on his back. Luke won't admit it aloud, but seeing the way Angelina laughs and how comfortable she looks while on Reggie's back makes him feel a pang of jealousy in his chest. The group dances away from the people and down the sidewalk, making their way back to Julie's house.
