The week went by surprisingly fast and now it was Friday, the day we were supposed to be leaving for our trip. Yesterday, I went shopping to get all the essential things that I would need on this trip and now I was all packed and ready.

Mr. Raglan said that the bus is going to be waiting at the office building and would be leaving at 10 o' clock. It was a very long trip, so we had to make an early start. I looked at the clock that hung in my living room to see the time. It was 9:15am. After taking up everything that I had packed yesterday, I left my house and took a taxi to work.

Fifteen minutes later, the taxi pulled up at the building where I worked and I stepped out. I saw that the bus was there and Mr. Raglan, Wade Castle and Vincent stood outside conversing.

When I reached up to them, I smiled at the trio. "Good morning everyone."

They all returned my greeting and Vincent came and took my bag. "Let me get that for you, Allison."

"Thanks Vincent." I smiled at him as he walked around to the back of the bus to put down my bag.

I went inside the bus to see that only a few persons were here already. My eyes widen as I saw Kate and Tamika sitting almost at the back of the bus. I'm surprised that they were here already. The other occupants of the bus were Lance Taylor, one of the senior advisors and Anna Barnett who sat directly in front of Tamika and Kate. Our supervisor, Natalie Spence, sat on the other side of the bus, at the front beside Kyle. I greeted all of them as I walked down to Tamika and Kate.

"You guys are early," I said when I reached them.

"I was too excited," Kate respond. "I couldn't wait to get my journey started."

I chuckled at her response and then took my seat directly behind theirs. We continued to have small talk as our other coworkers came and entered the bus.

When we didn't have anything more to say, I leaned back in my seat and rest my head on the headrest and looked out of the window. Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder and I looked around to see a smiling Brian, as he took a seat beside me.

"I hope you don't mind if I give you some company." He said, when he sat down.

"Hey Brian. No, not at all," I said, then added jokingly. "I would tell you to sit, but I see that you've already helped yourself."

He laughed making his shoulders shake with its intensity. His laugh was so sweet and melodic that it warmed my entire body. "Yeah well, I was hoping you wouldn't mind." He finally said.

"Well, you know what they say about hope." I replied. He just chuckled lightly and shake his head.

After five more minutes, everyone was here and was settled in the bus. Our senior advisor, Johnathan Campbell stepped up into the bus and spoke. "Is everyone here and is ready?" Everyone answered yes, before he continued. "Okay good. We are leaving now, so let's hope we have a good journey and trip."

Mr. Campbell nodded his head at us, before taking his seat. The driver of the bus started the engine and we were on our way.

We were travelling for three hours now, when Brian looked out the window on my side at the view. I followed his gaze and watch the palm, pine and oak trees passed in a blur. We had reached the area where this place was located, so we probably had thirty or more minutes to go before we're there.

I shift my gaze from the window and turned to Brian. "Have you come to this place before?" I asked.

"Westgate Lake?" I nodded and he shook his head. "No, but I've heard about it. Have you?"

"No," I shook my head. I turned my attention back to the window when I saw a wide expanse of water came into view. I was brought from my gaze at the sound of Brian's voice.

"I've heard that it is great, so we don't have anything to worry about." He said. I nodded my head in response, as the bus trudged its way down the road.

A half hour later, I felt the bus slow down. I looked up in front of me, peeping over the heads of people so I could see. The bus was turning into a gate. The gate was old and rusted and a sign with Westgate Lake hung crookedly on it. The bus went through the gate and continued on it's journey.

We drove for about twenty minutes more, before the bus stopped completely. I looked in front of me again to see that we've parked in front of a cabin. The door opened and we exited the bus. When I was standing outside the bus, I looked around, taking in my surroundings.

I noted that there were three more cabins that were only a few distance away. I looked behind me, where I see a board plank that lead to the water. Two canoes where tied to the board. I couldn't see anything else for miles, but beyond the water were a wide expanse of trees. That would be a good place to take a hike and explore.

I turned my attention back to the group, when Mr. Raglan began to speak. "Okay guys, welcome to Westgate Lake." He gestured his hands around the place. "I hope you relax, have fun and that it's enjoyable, which I intended it to be." He then gestured towards the cabins. "There are four cabins with three bedrooms each, with everything we'll need."

He smiled and nod his head at each of us. "Let's make the most of it and see what this place has to offer."
