Mira's POV:
I stood outside in the courtyard, waiting beside the sleek black Aston Martin DBS Superleggera - my parents' car, driven by our chauffeur, Mr. Michael. The expensive vehicle gleamed in the soft afternoon light, its black finish reflecting the pale blue sky above. I wore a simple blue dress, which I covered with a lightweight white cardigan to ward off the chill. A blue scarf wrapped around my neck added a pop of color, and my hair was styled in a chic braided updo. I had applied light makeup and wore simple heeled sandals, feeling ready for the date.
As I gazed up at the sky, I noticed the clouds were a brilliant white, with the sun shining through the gaps, casting a warm glow over everything. It was still early in the afternoon, and the gentle breeze carried a crisp air. I felt a sense of tranquility wash over me, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Just then, Prince Nova approached me, and I turned to face him. He wore a red button-down shirt with a black leather jacket slung over his shoulder, covering him from the cold. His leather pants and black boots gave him a rugged, dashing appearance, and his ginger hair was styled perfectly, messy yet elegant. He looked breathtaking, and I couldn't help but feel my breath catch as I smiled foolishly, my heart racing with excitement.
"Your Majesty," I greeted him, curtsying politely.
He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and apologized for his tardiness. "Please, forgive me for being late, my lady."
I waved the apology away, feeling a flutter in my chest at the way he addressed me. "It's quite all right, Your Highness."
He asked, "Shall we be on our way now, my lady?" and I nodded, feeling myself blush at the endearment. I liked it when he called me that, even though I knew it didn't mean much; I just enjoyed feeding my delusions.
Before Mr. Michael could open the car door, Prince Nova gallantly opened it for me himself, and I smiled, taken aback by the small gesture. We got in, and I noticed two bodyguards in blue and gold uniforms with guns holstered at their waists following closely behind in a separate car.
Yesterday, during our conversation, I had discovered that Prince Nova enjoyed playing polo and that his favorite color was blue - maybe that's why I had chosen to wear blue today, I thought with a chuckle. He also shared a love for the band Echoes in the Dark, just like Valerie. I made a mental note to tell her later. Additionally, I had learned that he was an avid reader, enjoyed hiking, and had a passion for photography.
As we sat in silence, I felt a little uncomfortable, unsure of how to break the quiet. I turned to him and asked, "Where would you like to go, Your Highness? We've already been to the town square."
He smiled and replied, "I'll go anywhere you take me, my lady."
I was taken aback by his response and smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest. "Really, Your Highness?"
He nodded, and I felt my heart skip a beat. I smiled mischievously and said, "In that case, I know the perfect place for us to start, Your Highness."

We stood in front of the Willowdale Library and Archives, one of my favorite places in the entire city. The grand stone building exuded a sense of knowledge and wonder, and I felt a thrill of excitement as we approached the entrance. The prince turned to me, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled, and I couldn't help but smile back, my heart skipping a beat.
As we entered, the door's chime echoed through the hallowed halls, and the librarian looked up from her desk, her eyes widening behind her glasses. She was a woman in her late 30s, with curly brown hair, wearing a pair of cat-eye glasses and a crisp white blouse. Her eyes darted to the prince, and she hurriedly came around the counter, her hands fluttering as she curtseyed.
"Your Highness!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with surprise. "We don't often get...royalty...visiting us here."
The prince smiled politely, his expression guarded, and I wondered if I would ever see the unguarded smile he reserved for those he cared about. I hoped to be one of them someday.
I didn't quite catch the prince's reply to the woman, lost in my own thoughts.
As the librarian excitedly took his arm, leading him towards the shelves, I scoffed, feeling forgotten. I had known Mrs. Turner since my high school days, when I spent countless hours researching and studying within these very walls. She hadn't liked me then, probably because I asked too many questions and always seemed to find the one book she had misplaced.
Now, she beamed at the prince as if she had won the lottery, her usual grumpy demeanor replaced by a bright, toothy smile. I rolled my eyes, remembering how she would often grumble about her job, complaining about the dust and the silence and the endless cataloging.
Just then, the prince looked back at me, his eyes locking onto mine, and mouthed, "Aren't you coming?" My heart skipped a beat as I smiled. I hurried to catch up with them, my feet echoing on the marble floor as I tried to keep pace with the prince and the librarian.

As we entered the Grand Oak Cafe, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. The soft hum of conversation and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped us, making my stomach growl with hunger.
The cafe was cozy, with dark wood accents and plush booths. It wasn't bustling with people, likely due to the early afternoon hour. We made our way to an empty booth, and for a moment, it seemed like no one had noticed us. The two guards discreetly took seats at the next booth, their eyes scanning the area for potential threats.
A teenage barista with a friendly smile approached us, his Brown skin marking him as a foreigner. "Welcome! What can I get for you?" he asked, his eyes widening as he took in the prince's presence. "Your Majesty!" he exclaimed, bowing his head. "I'll be right back, let me go call my boss."
Being royalty was sure hard work.
The manager, a kind-looking middle-aged man, arrived with a grin. After exchanging pleasantries, we ordered coffee with croissants and a side of fresh fruit. I noticed the guards didn't order anything, and the barista didn't ask them.
As we chatted casually over our food, an elderly man approached us, bowing his head. "Your Highness," he said, also nodding at me. I nodded back, happy to be acknowledged.
The man fidgeted with his phone, looking nervous. "I wanted to ask, Your Highness, if you could take a picture with my grandson?" he asked, his voice trembling.
The prince smiled and stood up, abandoning his food. I followed suit. The man's grandson, a shy-looking boy around six years old, approached us. "Your Majesty," he greeted, his voice barely above a whisper.
The prince grinned and knelt down to talk to the boy. "What's your name?"
"William... William Deere," the boy replied, his eyes wide with excitement.
The prince chuckled. "Well, William, that's a great name! Strong and adventurous, just like the tractors!"
He ruffled the boy's hair and stood up, lifting John into his arms for a photo. I watched, smiling softly, as the prince interacted with the boy. More people began to notice, and soon, a small crowd gathered, asking for photos. The guards remained nearby, ever vigilant.
The boy approached me, looking up with big brown eyes. "Miss, would you also like to take a picture with me?"
I looked taken aback for a moment before a smile spread across my face. "Of course, William. I'd love to."

"This is the Luminous Lagoon of Willowdale," I said, my voice filled with pride.
"It's really beautiful," the prince replied, his eyes wide with wonder.
We stood before a serene lake, surrounded by bioluminescent plants. The air was peaceful, with birds chirping and the occasional rustle of leaves. A sign had pointed out the path we had followed, leading us to this tranquil spot.
The prince bent down, his eyes fixed on the flowers. "May I?" he asked, his expression gentle.
I nodded, and he carefully plucked one of the plants, holding it like a delicate egg. "I have never seen anything like it," he breathed.
"They're called bioluminescent plants," I explained. "They glow at night, and it's truly breathtaking."
The prince's eyes sparkled with wonder as he examined the plant. We stood there for a moment, taking in the beauty of our surroundings.
There were boats at the shore of the lake, but it was already getting late, so we couldn't take a ride. "Your Highness, there's one more place I'd like to show you," I said with a grin.
The prince nodded, and we walked towards the place I had in mind. It was special to me, and I couldn't wait to share it with him.
As we walked, the path widened, and a cave came into view. The sign above the entrance read "The Lovers' Cave" in bold, linked lettering. The prince looked at me curiously, and I nodded in affirmation.
We entered the cave, our bodyguards following closely behind. The cave was enormous, as big as a field, with golden crystals scattered everywhere, illuminating the space. The ceiling was painted like the night sky, with artificial stars glowing softly. Benches lined the corners.
The prince looked around, his expression filled with wonder. "This is incredible," he said.
"This is the Lovers' Cave," I began, my voice echoing off the walls. "Legends say that star-crossed lovers from rival city-states met here secretly to share their love. It's been renovated, but it still holds a special charm."
As I spoke, I couldn't help but think about how I had always wanted to bring someone I liked here, and now it was actually happening.
The prince nodded, his eyes sparkling with interest. "Eldrida is really an amazing place," he said. "I'm glad I came here."
"I'm glad too," I replied, feeling a sense of happiness wash over me.
The prince looked around again, his expression thoughtful. I was about to ask him what he was thinking when one of the bodyguards interrupted. "Your Highness, it's getting late. We should leave soon."
The prince nodded, then turned to me with a smile. "Thank you for today, Mira. I had a good time because of you."
I stood there, smiling like a fool, as he offered me his hand. I took it, feeling a spark of electricity up my arm as our palms touched. He led me out of the cave, his hand in mine, and I felt like I was floating on air.
