Ethan
I nod, I've never wanted anything more than to have a little one like Lucca. "If I ever said I wanted to get rid of him you better smack the shit out of me." He just stood there smiling all happy. I hug him tightly and before I can say anything I hear crying. I go over to where Lucca is, looking down at him, he had rolled himself onto his stomach and lay like a little starfish. I gently rub his back, he quiets down. I mean, I was hoping for this but after the last time I touched him by holding him it was a huge mess. Now he's falling back asleep. "He probably thinks it's you doing this in his sleep, huh Alex?" I watched him shrug. "Or, maybe he's warming up to his dad #2?" I smile at the thought of my own little boy with my own husband. All we'd need is a dog to go with this moment, however Alex is allergic.
Mr.Knight
I watch as Lucca melts into Ethan's touch, one of the sweetest sights. His face relaxes from the stress it was moments ago, he whole body just drops a massive amount of tension and his breathing is quick to slow. He looks adorable. After a few moments we back up out of the room. We go downstairs and make the happiest phone call of our lives. We call the social worker, set up a time for her to come over and check out the house and make sure we're fit to be parents, just for the papers. "9:30 tomorrow morning? Got it, thank you." I hang up."...we gotta BABY BABY proof this whole house! Locks for the cabinets, a guard for the pool! Alex what if he falls in?" I sit back, listening to Ethan ramble things off. "I love that you care more about the smaller bits of safety like cabinet locks and not, damn, if they figure out we run a mafia were fucked. Funny, huh babe?" I watch it all sink in. I should've kept quiet. "We're never going to keep him..." He mumble as we made it to our room to discuss more stuff and have a very long cuddle. I even get him to quit thinking about all and go to sleep. I check my phone every 20 my, looking at the baby monitors. I watch him stretch and wiggle a few times, never leaving the startfish position laying on his stomach.
Lucca
I wake up, it's been at LEAST two and a half hours since I fell asleep. Something feels weird, I feel like I want to be held, but not by Mr.Knight, by Ethan. I think about it for a bit before sitting up up on my knees and rubbing at my eyes sleepily. I want cuddles! And now I hear footsteps, familiar ones. Mr.Knight not Ethan. The door gently opens and I see my teacher there with a bottle in his hands. I smile happily and reach out. "Daddy! Up-up?" He smiled and scooped me into his arms, I hug him back and immediately reach for his hair to play with. "Ready for dinner bubba? We're going out." Mr.Knight says. I clap my hands and squeal. "Daddy where going?!" I ask happily, he pokes my nose and just rocks me. "We're going to a steakhouse little one. A big, fancy one." I clap my hands more, I LOVE steak! He layed me down in the swinging bassinet thing and pushed it before he walked off to the closet. "Do I ha'e wear big boy clothes?" I ask, he shakes his head no and I see a black long sleeve onesie and a pair of black shorts. "Not adult clothes, but let's not go too bright. Lay down kiddo." He rolled me onto my back since I had rolled myself over. He takes off what I had on and starts to poke and tickle me. "Ah! Daddy no!" I giggle and twists around in the basinet. I kick my legs and he eventually stops. "Bluey or Mickey mouse?" He asks as he grabs something from the little cabinet under my crib. "B'uey!" I say happily, he comes back over with a Bluey pacifier and a matching diaper. "How old are you my little boy?" He says while getting me dressed. I tell him. I'm 2! I'm a big boy! "Oh wow! Two whole years old little one!" He finishes getting me dressed and picked me up, spinning once with me in his arms before he set me down to play and he grabbed my diaper bag to make sure there's stuff.

I wake up and notice that Alex isn't here. But I do hear the little one in the room just two doors down. I put on my clothes for dinner and start to get ready for dinner. I finish getting ready and go over into the baby's nursery. I see Alex sitting on the ground while Lucca is playing around while laying on his back, Alex is just dangling a little toy in front of his face. "Do you wanna go get ready while I watch the kid?" Alex nodded and handed me the toy. I keep playing with him, running it over his face super fast yet gently once or twice. He giggles and kick out his small legs. I like him over and over again. "Aren't you a sickly sweet little kiddo?" I scoop him up and into my lap. He messes with my hair, being so silly and sweet.
Restaurant Time
I carry Lucca into the building, Alex walking ahead of me. "Baby, hold still." I pat his head before grabbing my phone to show the hostess the reservation. "Do you guys have kids menus by chance?" Alex asks the lady. "No I'm sorry we don't, but we do have stuff that would typically be on a kids menu as well as non-alcoholic drinks." I nod, I should've called ahead anyways. "Well, thank you." She smiled and nodded, however Alex was quick to ask her something else. "Do you mind seating us in a booth? It'll just be easier for the kid." She again smiled. "Of course! Honestly booths are so much easier with kids, you can just kinda pin them in there!" I laugh slightly, yeah I guess you could...but who'll sit with Lucca? We get to our booth and I set Lucca down right near the wall. Alex decided to sit with Lucca. I watch him wiggle to get up onto his daddy's lap as I go sit down across from Alex.
Mr.Knight
I situate Lucca in my lap, letting the little guy just chill out as we look at the menus. "Bubs do you want apple juice, sprite or fruit punch?" He looks up at me with thoes adorable doe eyes of his. "I ha'e dat?" He asks, pointing to the Red Hi-C. I nod and when our waitress comes over for drinks I order it for him. "Okay, and are we gonna do any appetizers tonight?" She asks as she looks between me and Ethan. "Do you guys still have that one that's basically just fruit in one side and vegetables on the other?" She nodded. "Mhm! Is that what we're doing tonight?" I look at Ethan and he nods. It's his favorite, especially the melon. Eventually we finish all our dinner though and we get to take our sleepy little one home. But I got the worst phonecall of my life.
"You better sign the papers, he has family after him who won't stop."
