âJake has been having sex with mom lately. I bet he went to see her yesterday. And also, a vampire lord can initiate a marriage ritual without the help of a witch. I canât believe that bitch would do something as crazy as this!â Misty gives a reply, while gritting her teeth and clenching her hands in anger.
âW-What?!! Jake had sex with his mom and married her? E-Even though sheâs his mom and itâs normal in the vampire society, doesnât it seem like Jake is cheating on us?â Aurora asks with a stutter.
âSigh⦠Jake hasnât told you huh?â Misty asks while shaking her head.

In distress, she walks out of the house and asks about her car from the neighbors who told her that Jake went out with it.
After confirming it, she walks back into her apartment.
âDid he really go out with the car?â
Aurora asks.
âYes, he didâ¦â Misty answers and slumps into the chair.
âWhat?! He doesnât even have a license yet! And he didnât eat this morniââ Aurora pauses her words when she raises her head to check the time and realizes that itâs almost noon.
âWe didnât make breakfast for him⦠I canât believe we were chatting all this while without realizing that so much time was goneâ¦â Misty speaks up.
âAnd he doesnât joke with food, he is a foodie. I bet he went to eat at âherâ house.â Aurora says, biting her lips.
Misty doesnât say anything and simply lets out a sigh. She was taking into account what her therapist told her, and so she doesnât want to act irrationally. So she has decided to ask Jake about the whole thing regarding the marking when he comes back.
She stands up and goes into the kitchen to start making lunch so that she can call him to come back home and eat his lunch.
However, the moment Misty grabs the handle of the refrigerator to take out some blood packs, her eyes widen in shock when she opens it only to realize that itâs empty.

Authorâs Thoughts: As I said earlier, this novel is a slice of life. I want it to be a simple relaxing story that will end with 1-2k chapters without many forced plots. As you can see, itâs only been two days in the novel, and we already have 72 chapters lmao. Maybe I should increase the pacing a little bit, what do you think?
