Rosalynn suspected he was Kennediâs bodyguard.
Her eyes turned cold as she accepted the phone.
Suddenly, she raised her hand and delivered a resounding slap to his cheek.
âGo back and tell Kennedi to get out of Wragos.
I never want to see her again!â
Barlow had told her not to cause trouble for Kennedi, but Rosalynn couldnât contain her anger.
If it werenât for Kennedi, this whole disaster could have been avoided.
The bodyguard was just following Kennediâs orders.
Although his expression turned cold after being slapped by Rosalynn, he didnât say anything and turned around to leave.
A passing nurse noticed the injuries on Rosalynnâs wrists and ankles and said kindly, âLooks like you have some injuries too.
Come with me, and we will get those wounds treated.
â
After thanking the nurse, Rosalynn followed her to get her own wounds treated.
There were other people in the hospital who were in the same boat as her.
They all had their families with them.
The sight added a touch of warmth to the gloom, but instead of bringing her comfort, Rosalynn felt even lonelier.
She couldnât help thinking of Brian.
She wondered if he had any idea that she had almost died.
Did he know that they had almost been separated forever?
A surge of longing took over her.
She wanted nothing more than to hear his voice and feel his arms around her.
She missed him, so much that his absence was carving a hollow in her chest.
Soon enough, the nurse finished treating her.
Rosalynn walked out of the room and took out her phone.
The screen lit up, making her heartbeat pick up its pace.
It worked! The glass had been broken in some parts, and she had worried that it wouldnât turn on.
Thankfully, it seemed to still be able to function.
She ignored hundreds of missed calls and called Brian straight.
The phone rang for a long time before the call finally connected.
Rosalynnâs eyes welled up with tears.
âBrian, I-â
âRosalynn, Brian has already divorced you.
Why are you still calling him?â
