âSure, sure,â Rosalynn said with a smile, clearly unconvinced.
Brian blew on her earlobe, then kissed it.
His voice carried an undertone.
âSo, you donât believe me?â
Rosalynn pushed him away.
âBehave yourself.
â They were not alone in the car!
Edwin had already raised the partition separating the backseat from the driverâs seat.
He wasnât an assistant for nothing! He was always sensible and vigilant.
Brian, determined for an answer, pressed on.
âSo, do you believe me?â
âYes, honey, I believe you.
Get some rest.
â Rosalynn sighed, deciding not to tease him further.
He might do something to her right then and there otherwiseâ¦
Brian smirked and let go of her.
âActually, Iâm wide awake.
Are you hungry? How about we grab something to eat?â
âSounds good,â Rosalynn replied, patting her stomach.
While she didnât feel hungry, the baby needed nourishment.
âLetâs go to Atera then,â Brian suggested.
It was Sanfordâs restaurant.
Rosalynn smiled.
âPerfect! Speaking of Atera, guess what? Maggie and Sanford returned last night!â
âs BunnyBookery
Brian grinned.
âActually, Sanford texted me this morning.
â
âHe was in a good mood.
Maybe theyâve reconciled,â revealed Rosalynn.
Brian smirked.
âMaking up is just the first step.
Getting married will be much harder.
â
âIf they work at it, nothing is impossible,â Rosalynn countered.
Brian squeezed her hand.
âMy wise wife is right.
â
Rosalynn avoided his gaze, rolling her eyes.
Brian chuckled.
âLet me tell Sanford weâre going to Atera for dinner.
â
In the morning, he had received a message from Sanford but he had been eager to get back to Beauty Apartments and forgot to reply his message.
The phone barely rang when it was answered.
