âSomethingâs wrong! Come quickly, Teddy is bleeding a lot!â
Rosalynn was shocked.
She quickly put down her bowl, stood up, and asked, âWhat happened?â
âI donât know.
I-I just fed her some food.
In no time, she-she felt uncomfortable and then started bleeding a lot,â the servant explained, her voice trembling.
Rosalynn pursed her lips, asking no more questions as she prepared to go see Teddy.
Noemiâs face darkened.
âItâs just a dog.
Donât make such a fuss.
Rosalynn, finish your chicken soup first.
â
Rosalynn paused, turning to her.
âMom, a dogâs life matters too, especially since sheâs pregnant.
â
With that, she hurried away with the servant.
A trace of madness flickered in Noemiâs eyes as she watched them leave.
âNoemi, whatâs going on? Whereâs Rosalynn?â Gail asked, coming out of the kitchen and noticing Noemiâs sullen expression.
She assumed Noemi and Rosalynn had argued again.

âThe dog is unwell.
Rosalyn went to check on her,â Noemi replied tersely.
âWhatâs wrong with Teddy? How could this happen?â
Gail was stunned and quickly left the living room.
Meanwhile, Rosalynn followed the servant to the servantsâ quarters.
Amalia, the one taking care of Teddy daily, was anxiously holding the dog in her arms, her hands covered in blood.
Her eyes were slightly red as she looked up at Rosalynn.
âPlease have a look.
It seems Teddy has a miscarriage.
â
Rosalynnâs heart sank.
She didnât say anything and knelt down to examine the dog carefully.
Teddy looked up at her with wet eyes, trembling.
After her examination, Rosalynnâs face darkened.
âTeddy did have a miscarriage.
Call the vet and ask him to come immediately.
â
As she spoke, she took out a silver needle and stimulated a few acupuncture points of Teddy to stop the bleeding.
Gail arrived in a hurry, followed by Noemi.
âRosalynn, what happened to Teddy?â Gail asked anxiously.
Rosalynn stood up after finishing the injection.
âTeddy had a miscarriage.
â
âWhat?! How could it be?â
