The lore was that if two lovers walked together in the first snow, they would be together forever.
Filled with thoughts, Karina drove to Atera Restaurant and parked.
âGet off the car.
â
With that, Karina was about to step out of the car.
âWait a minute,â Barlow said.
He stepped out of the car with his coat draped over his arm, then walked over to the driverâs side to open the door for Karina.
âGet off the car.
â
Karina frowned as she watched the snow fall onto him.
Here he was, playing the gentleman once more.
Had he forgotten how he had caught a cold last time?
Now he was here to offer her his coat once more!
Karina quickly got out of the ca
and placed his coat over her head.
âCome over here,â she said to him.
Barlow paused, visibly surprised.
âLetâs use your coat to cover us both from the snow,â Karina said.
Since they didnât bring umbrellas, she suggested they share the same coat.
Though taken aback by her not being as distant as usual today, he was pleased.
He draped the coat over both their heads as they walked toward the door.
The white snow slowly drifted through the air, bringing with it a chilly, refreshing breeze.
She stayed close to him, walking quietly alongside him in the silence.
Could this shared moment of the yearâs first snow signify that she would stay with Barlow indefinitely? She pondered silently.
âHey, could you walk a bit faster? Youâre blocking the path.
Itâs freezing out here.
â
As they approached the door, they caught an impatient voice coming from behind them.
Karina noticed there was no one to their left or right.
Therefore, the individual behind them was likely asking her and Barlow to step aside.
