âWhat is it?â Evita inquired.
âDo it like thisâ¦â
Inside the Vincent Bar, the third floor consisted entirely of private rooms.
For the class reunion, the organizer had reserved an opulent private room capable of accommodating sixty people.
Upon pushing open the door, Tilda found the room already bustling.
The grand chandelier overhead bathed the scene in a dazzling Light, illuminating a long table laden with an array of food.
Classmates clustered in small groups, their conversations filled with laughter and merriment.
âIsnât this Tilda? Youâre still as stunning as ever!â the class monitor greeted warmly, arms outstretched.
Tilda returned the smile and gave a quick hug.
âLong time no see!â she replied.
After exchanging pleasantries, the monitor glanced behind her and asked, âWhy are you alone? Whereâs Keanu?â
The question sounded strange, as if she and Keanu were romantically involved.
Her smile waned slightly, and Tilda looked ahead, noticing numerous classmates observing her with inscrutable expressions.
âHey, weâre here too,â greeted Evita and Keanu in unison.
They entered consecutively through the opened door.
A woman who was formerly close to Evita approached.
âEvita, why are you coming in with Keanu? Arenât you afraid of being the awkward third wheel?â she teased, casting a disdainful glance at Tilda.
Evita giggled and replied, âOh, I just happened to run into him! Relax.
Havenât you noticed theyâre trying to avoid being the focus of our gossip?â
Upon hearing this, the woman sneered, âWeâre all adults here.
Now that youâre intending to get involved with Keanu behind your husbandâs back, abandon the pretense.
â
Her words were cutting and severe, accusing Tilda of disloyalty and flirtation.
Tilda gave her a frigid stare, her expression turning icy.
âWeâre all adults here.
Please speak with some civility and refrain from behaving like an uncultured gossip,â she retorted.
The woman sputtered angrily, âHow dare you call me an uncultured gossip!â
âDid I mention you by name? Why are you so defensive?â Tilda replied calmly.
