âDad, itâs me,â Barlow responded.
A slight tremor ran through Frankieâs chest, tears welling in his eyes.
âYouâre really Barlow.
Youâre okay!â
âYes, Iâm still alive.
â
âThatâs wonderful, as long as youâre okay!â
Tears of relief welled up in Frankieâs eyes.
He glanced upward, attempting to hold back his tears.
âI heard from Rosalynn that youâre now living across from Haleighâs apartment? When will you be coming back? We should get together.
â
After a brief silence, Barlow responded, âIâll be back tonight.
â
âOkay, weâll talk more when you return.
â
Frankie was filled with surprise and joy.
Noticing he was about to end the call, Rosalynn interjected, âBarlow, when you get back, you can start working at the Hughes Group tomorrow.
â
Barlow hesitated before asking, âYou want me to work at the Hughes Group?â
Rosalynn replied, âYes, you are Brianâs brother.
With whatâs happened to him, shouldnât you step up to help run the company as a member of the Hughes family?â
Barlow remained silent.
Rosalynn continued, âBrian has transferred all his assets to me, including his shares in the Hughes Group.
So now, I am the new CEO of the Hughes Group.
I want to appoint you as the general manager of the Hughes Group.
Would you be willing to accept that role?â
Hearing this, Barlow inquired, âYou want me to work under the name Carlow?â
âYou prefer not to? Or would you rather be Barlow again?â
She understood that shedding his former identity as a spy was not easy.
She feared he might become a target again if he resumed using his real name, Barlow.
âNo, Iâll use Carlow,â Barlow confirmed.
âThatâs settled then.
Youâll start at the group tomorrowâ, Rosalynn declared.
Although she had founded a decoration and design company with Keegan, she was not actively involved in its day-to-day operations.
As such, her management skills were Limited.
But now, with the responsibilities of the Hughes Group upon her, she needed someone proficient in management to assist her.
