Course after course graced the table, a tantalizing procession of flavors.
âRosalynn, care for some wine?â Barlow inquired, cradling a bottle in his hand.

âWell, what brings you here then?â Undeterred by her refusal, Barlowâs expression remained amiable.
âIâm here to enjoy the meal,â Rosalynn answered and began to eat.
âLighten up, Rosalynn.
You must know I donât make a habit of undressing people when Iâm drunk,â Barlow teased, casting a sidelong glance at Karina.
Karina was at a loss for words.

âBarlow, join me in a drink,â Karina proposed, raising her glass to temper her irritation.
Barlow merely chuckled and held his peace.

âRosalynnâ¦â
âDonât bring her into this! Just read the contract!â Karina snapped.
Barlow studied her, amused.
