âSure, thanks, Rosalynn.
â Karina chuckled.
Rosalynn moved into the kitchen and glanced back at Brian, who was now engrossed in his computer

â
Brian was left speechless.

âRosalynn, Iâll pass on breakfast with you and Mr.
Hughes today,â
Maggie texted back.
âDonât worry, Karinaâs here too.
â
âIncredible! I can only imagine how irate Mr.
Hughes must be!â Maggie jested.
Rosalynn chuckled.
âAre you certain you donât want to come down?â
âIâLL come find you later.
â
âSounds good.
â
Upstairs, Maggie had woken early to make breakfast as Sanford was due to leave on a business trip.
Spotting him about to exit with his suitcase, she rushed to say, âSanford, Iâve prepared breakfast.
â canât.
Iâm running late,â Sanford responded casually.

Left alone, Maggie stood in quiet contemplation, a pang of discomfort settling in her chest.
Sanfordâs obvious displeasure was troubling.
Could their relationship be nearing its end?
