After freshening up and changing her attire, Rosalynn caught the sound of the doorbell.
She hurried to answer it, a bright smile gracing her face upon seeing Huttonâs presence.
Yet, there lingered a trace of dissatisfaction in Huttonâs eyes as he gazed at her.
âHumph, itâs clear who you value more.
â
Rosalynn let out a soft chuckle, pulling him inside.
âGood morning, Hutton.
â Brian rose from the sofa and made his way toward the dining room.
Hutton, harboring his dissatisfaction, offered no reply and silently trailed behind Rosalynn to the dining area.
Breakfast awaited them, a sumptuous spread procured from a five-star hotel at Brianâs request.
Considering Huttonâs recent return from abroad, he held a particular interest in the local cuisine.
Taking a seat at the table, Hutton prepared to serve himself a portion.
Brianâs hand abruptly rose, patting Huttonâs arm.
âLeave that alone.
Itâs Rosalynnâs favorite.
â
Hutton nodded, intending to reach for a different dish.
âThat, too,â Brian added.
Hutton stole a quick glance at Brian before reaching for the food on the opposite side.
âThatâs another one she loves,â he muttered.

Frustrated, he finally blurted out, âThen what am I supposed to eat?â
In response, Brian slid a bowl of oatmeal in front of him.
âGo ahead and give it a shot.
â
Hutton couldnât help but think that Brian was rotten to the core!
Brian lifted his gaze and questioned, âWhy arenât you eating? Donât take more from Rosalynnâs portion.
She needs the nourishment.
Sheâs been drained these past couple of days because of me.
â
Hutton seethed with anger, believing Brian to be shameless.
âBrian, thatâs enough,â Rosalynn interjected, holding back a smile.
She glared at Brian and pushed several dishes in front of Hutton.
