After Justin and Steven left, Natalie went to the bedroom and looked at Samuel, who was in a deep

days.

After giving it some thought, Zophie nodded in agreement. “King has never failed in anything that he

wanted to do.”

Gale took out another cigarette and light it up casually. Then, he said, “However—”

“What is it?”

Gale continued, “A woman whom we used to think of as a nobody, foiled King’s plans several times. I

have a bad feeling that she might upend King’s plans.”

As soon as Gale finished, Zophie chuckled. “Gale, are you kidding me? We know what kind of a man

King is. How can a woman ever upend his plans? How absurd!”

“Maybe you’re right.”

Gale took another puff, hoping to get rid of the negative thought.
