{ Ehann }
The Prince woke up cold, in the middle of the night; and no extra heat next to him on the bed.
He opened his blurry eyes and started feeling around for a certain someone, but no success on his search, he sighed tiredly and after a while he sat up and looked around the room hazily.
The person who was supposed to be with him wasn't there, it looked like they were there - but stood up and left. He thought that maybe they were just in the bathroom since the light was on.
"Aelius?" He called out.
But no response was given, sadly.
Ehann dragged himself over towards the end of the bed and sighed, standing up and walking to the bathroom door to turn off the light. His boyfriend had been doing this for a while now, 4 days in a row if you had to be exact.
And every time, he'd always appear in the same place, the kitchen. So without a second thought he opened his bedroom doors and started making his way there.
And just as he expected, there he was leaning on the island table with papers and pens scattered around the island, with two pumpkins on the counter as his only light source, his usual mug of coffee in hand, and wearing his usual reading glasses.
A muffled yawn escaped from the prince's mouth while he leaned on the counter. Aelius immediately jolted upwards and looked up at the prince Infront of him and quickly gathered up his papers and stacked them on the far corner of the island.
"You're awake again-?" Aelius asked sheepishly, a tired tone in his voice.
Ehann inspected him from head to toe and glanced at the papers beside him. "It was colder than other nights, yes." Ehann responded.
"And you keep scribbling down things on those very suspicious papers of yours, what's in them, Aelius?"
Ehann tried to snatch the papers but Aelius reached out to grab his hand before he could get a hold on them.
Aelius then held both the prince's hands and placed them on his chest, pinning down the prince in a corner of the many counters that exist in the kitchen, far away from the stacked papers.
Then he smoothly placed his own hands on the counter, one on each side of Ehann leaving him with no space to move around.
".Nothing more important than what's infront of you." He whispered into the prince's ear, instinctively making him wrap his hands around Aelius's neck.
"You really think so?" The prince teased.
Aelius started to giggle at the prince's response and rested his head in Ehann's neck "I know so."
Ehann slowly but unnoticingly maneuvered away from the man Infront of him, pecking his lips so that he wouldn't notice his actions.
But Aelius wasn't that oblivious, he grabbed a hold of the prince's hips and placed him back into where he had put him, Ehann gasped at the sudden action and Aelius took advantage of that; kissing the prince into a this time more passionate - sweet kiss.
The two stayed like that for about 1 minute or so before deciding to take a breath. They both glanced at each other only to go into a laughing fit, releasing eatchother from their hold.
"I better see you in bed by 1 am Sunshine, I'm not joking around this time!" The prince whisper-shouted at his boyfriend before leaving the kitchen completely.
While the prince walked through the long hallway, you could hear the slightly alarmed Sun attempting to quicken his scribbling and whatever else he was doing before he arrived.
The prince smiled at this and continued walking, calmly he climbed on the bed and slowly drifted off in sleep.
A couple of minutes later, he felt a warm body wrap around his own.
He felt a warm smile grow on his lips, cuddling more into the hug.
Actually falling asleep this time.
----
The next day the prince had a very busy schedule. With work and places to go shot at him on every minute of the day.
Barely any time for him to even check on his lover, but he would wave him hello when he saw him in the castle halls.
Seconds became minutes and minutes became hours, and the paperwork wouldn't end yet. Nightfall came and he finally finished, exhausted - he went to his bedroom and changed clothing.
When he was about to flop on his bed, he noticed a note neatly resting on his side of the bed.
The note had said -
'Meet me at the kitchen.' -A
Tired, he took the note and debated whether he should go or stay, but eventually he started to walk towards the kitchen. Already expecting it to be his beloved is what kept him being awake for so long.
Before he entered the kitchen doors. There was a tiny stand and a stool with things ontop of it. With two pumpkin carvings of jack o' lanterns sitting right next to it.
On the stool there stood another note -
'Grab this basket and knock on the door, say 'Trick or Treat' after a knock... Trust me.'
So he grabbed the basket and laughed a little, 'this is dumb' he thought, but even so, he knocked on the door.
"Trick.. or treat..?" He said.
Soon, a ruckus could be heard from inside the kitchen. And a chicken bawkawk- ing.
Then the doors to the kitchen swung Open, revealing Aelius poorly dressed as an old lady.
"What.. what are you doing??" Ehann laughed at the sight Infront of him. "And what's with this costume?" He laughed even more.
"Shush child, ain't you here to get some candy? And who's this Aelius lad? Never seen em." Aelius said in an old nanny tone.
"But i betcha he's a fine lookin' fella aye?" The old lady winked at the prince. "Do I resemble him in some way?" The only nanny started to pose, leaning on the opened door.
"What?" The prince kept laughing.
"Shush kid, ya wan' some candy or not?"
"Umm, sure" The prince giggled.
"Hol' it, I'll be right back fella."
Aelius quickly went out of view and came back to view.
"Here you go love" Aelius said. "Now bye bye now" he waved off and closed the doors.
The prince stood there in shock and laughter. But then it became quiet and he didn't know what to do.
"What now?" He asked.
Then an arm came out the door and sticked a paper that read 'knock again', so he did.
"Trick or Treat"
This time, He came out looking like an old man, wearing his usual glasses and a checkered yellow and black collared shirt.
"What do you want kid." Aelius mimicked an old man's voice now.
"Candy??" The prince laughed again.
"...Candy??" The old man side eyed him.
Then the old man murmured something along the lines of, "a aint got no candy goshdarnit."
"Wait right here kid" and so he left.
Then noises of a chicken appeared again and the sound seemed to get closer and closer to the door.
"You accept a live Chicken?" Said the old man, holding a chicken.
"A.. chicken??" The prince stood in shook.
"Aelius, where do you even get a chi-"
"Goshdarnit kid take the bloody chicken already, my hands are getting tired."
Then they both went silent, one looking at another, one glaring at a chicken.
"Bawkawk."
Then they both kept on going with the trick or treating all night, both forgot they even needed sleep at some point along the way. Aelius became a Chicken, mom, pop, wizard, king, prince, basket. Etc.
And finally, they were done. Aelius finally finished cleaning up the kitchen and walked towards the bedroom with the prince.
It was quiet, but a soothing quietness.
Until..
"But actually, how did you get that chicken-?"
...
"Bawkawk"
