Chapter 5.

"And you really think he caught an interest in you?" Questioned his sister.

"It was love at first sight!!" Protested aelius as he sat down on the couch looking at the ceiling, recalling the 'majestic' scene over & over again.

"Are you sure that Principe has left?" Asked his mother as she read the newspaper.

"Maybe you can find him around the town....but seeing how you're dressed right now i doubt he would even look at you" continued his mom, eyeing her son every now and then.

"What's wrong with my clothes??" Said the clueless boy, looking at his mom while sitting up.

"You do realize that you're wearing a shirt with holes and yellow shorts right?" Asked his sister, concerned for her brother as he looked at himself up and down.

..."So?"

"sO??" Mimicked his sister,

His mother laughed at the insult then placed Down the newspaper to look at her son. "Mijo if you want to talk with him today you better change into something better and leave before tu pá arrives from work" said his mom.

The boy looked at his sister, confused at the certain nice words coming from his mother's mouth then looked back at his mom.

"Just go" Said his sister

He got up and went upstairs to change his clothes, seeing as his family didn't like his 'picked at random clothes'.

As the boy closes his house door, he decides to be determined to find the prince, it has only been a few minutes since the encounter with the beauty, so what could go wrong?

For he was naive.

He couldn't find him anywhere.

Not in the shops.

Not in the neighborhoods.

Not in the lake.

Not near his carriage.

Not even in the best restaurant out there!

He was tired.

And had lost hope in finding the prince, there was one place he didn't check though, and it was the forest.

The boy decided that the forest would be his last stop before giving up and going home, so he ordered a cheesecake to go and started walking towards the tall trees he could see in the distance.

One he arrived, he started wandering around looking for an open area where the prince could be.

He was starting to loose faith in himself and was about to get home until he heard...a voice! A very quiet one though, if he wasn't paying much attention he could have probably missed it.

The closer he got to the voice the better he could hear it, and there he was... Sitting in a field filled with white flowers.

To the boy, he looked like just another flower in that field only that this Flower stood out more than the rest.

He didn't want this beautiful scenery to end but it did, and it was his fault. He slipped on a tree root that rose from underneath the dirt, the prince stopped humming and opened his eyes, looking around for any movement he could see, then quickly turned his head towards where poor aelius was 'attempting' to hide with the grass.

"I can see you" quietly spoke the masked prince.

The boy imeadietly stood up and and gripped the cheesecake bag as he responded.

"Hi" squeaked out the boy, looking anywhere but the beauty infront of him, disappointed in his first appearance.

"I remember you" said the prince

"You're that nice looking boy i saw in the lines near the shops right?" Questioned the prince.

"You remember me??" Cheerfully asked the boy, making eye contact with the prince.

There was an awkward silence between the two, both of them wanted to talk more but didn't know how.

"Can I sit next to you?" Said the boy.

The prince's eyes widened at the question, "Go ahead.. there's plenty of space" he responded.

Aelius quickly walked towards the prince and sat down infront of him placing the cheesecake in the middle between the two.

"I- i can't help but feel like I've been in this situation before." The prince spoke.

"It feels like if I've done this before, even though I've never been here." Aelius smiled.

"You feel it too? It's like this familiar feeling." The prince giggled.

"Do you like this place? I find it very soothing... A great landscape to paint too." The Prince calmly said as he looked out in the distance.

"You're an artist?"

"Yes I am" responded the prince

"I only left the castle to look for more landscapes to recreate" he continued.

"What's in the bag?"

"Oh this? It's actually a pastry i had bought for you.. as a way for me to properly greet myself Incase i had messed up" laughed the boy.

"Thank you, i really appreciate the gesture"

The two talked for hours. Almost loosing track of time until one asked for a name.

What's you name?" Asked the prince.

"My name is Aelius which means 'sun' or 'sunshine', my mother was the one to name me" He quietly responded

"What's yours?"

Aelius looked at The prince's eyes, it had felt like he was searching for a lie, or any other doubt that could exist. It made Aelius feel weary about himself. So he looked away.

"My name is Ehann, which can also mean the 'full bright moon', my mother was the one who named me" The prince said.

"These are my favorite type of flowers... To think there is a whole field here with only this flower" He kept on going.

"They look truly beautiful.." The boy laughed, except he wasn't looking at the ones around him, he was looking at the one infront of him that glowed in the moonlight.

Aelius eyed the prince with calm eyes, the way he sat, the way he covered his smile when he laughed, the way his hair flowed with the wind and flowers. Everything about him made him- majestic in a way.

It made him wonder, is he ticklish?

"Prince?" Aelius quietly spoke.

"Yes?"

"Are you ticklish?"

"What's ticklish?"

"Do you want me to show you? I promise i won't do anything bad." Aelius assured.

"I trust you."

And then suddenly, Aelius pounced on the prince, maneuvering his finger all around the prince's sides; instantly making the prince burst out it laughter playfully attempting to shove the boy off from ontop of him.

Then he stopped and pinned the prince's hands over him with one hand and still attempting to tickle him with his free one. Making the prince arch his back accidentally taking the mask off of his face. Aelius then grabbed him from his hip unintentionally.

Making Aelius stop on his tracks, he looked so beautiful- his smile burned the boy's heart, his eyelashes fluttering open and closed made him hold his breath, and his hair somehow making the prince ten times more beautiful made the poor boy stiffen.

Seeing Aelius stiffen made the prince stop laughing. Quickly growing concern all over his face, unaware that his mask fell off.

"Aelius?"

"Yes? Hi"

"Hahaha Hi"

Both boys looked at eatchother with smiling faces. Aelius couldn't help but look at the mark in the prince's face it looked deep but it fit him.

He gently touched his mark with the hand that held the prince's hands. And the prince instantly gasped and pushed him off of him.

"I- I'm sorry i didn't mean to hur-"

"No no, you're- you're fine"

"It's just that you're the first to see me without it." The prince whispered.

"I, i won't tell anybody about it. I promise."

"You looked beautiful without it." Aelius whispered back.

"N-not that you kn- ow you're not beautiful with the mask aswell but-bu-."

"Thank you." The prince whispered back.

"Yes" Aelius spoke.

They both stayed quiet like that for a minute or so, while the prince looked for his mask.

"I'm actually lost and i ended up here" the prince said, laughing at the thought.

"Then would you like me to lead you back to the town?" Aelius asked.

"If you insist"

Then both boys had stood up and one lead the other around the forest, showing him the natural land marks that lead them back to the town.

Before they stepped out the Forrest Aelius thought of something and immediately grabbed the prince's hand before he stepped out.

"Shouldn't you put you're mask back on?"

"Oh! Right, Thank you." The prince smiled at him.

Once they were infront of the carriage they said their goodbyes.

"I guess ill see you soon?" Asked the boy, hoping for a hint of friendship

"Yea, soon.." responded the prince as he entered the carriage, grabbing the cheesecake bag and placing it on his lap.

Once the carriage left his sight Aelius started running through the city screaming with joy, he had managed to make friends with the beauty of a moon prince.
