âLuca they are going to the portal as soon as they get to St. Luc's pier.
We need to go now.â Luca informed his grandfather and as it was late
evening Luna was crowned and they were sent off into the woods. As
they were getting ready to leave, they were stopped short by a
deafening noise that came from the village center. Luca's warriors
pounced into defense mode. They began to transform and headed to
the center of the village.
âWe've been played. They're already here. We will need spells or
potions to protect the warriors from the spells. Damn it. We should
have put off the wedding and handled her first.â Luna told Luca
apologetically. I have to go to the forefront with my men. Get to the
house. I already have potions ready. My warriors are prepared.â With
that, he left Luna and charged toward the townâs center.
Luna was taken to her quarters by the female warriors. She was now
queen and had to be protected. She entered her room and undressed.
She put on some loose clothes and put her hair in a bun. Her mate and
the warriors were out there protecting the people. A people who was
now hers. She didn't want to be that type of queen. One who hid in the
confines of her room while her mate fought battles. She needed to be
seen as a strong queen. One who could also fight. It was her aunt who
was attacking them after all. She felt responsible.
Luna burst out of the room and headed to the center of the action. The
guard woman tried to stop her. She immediately transformed into the
great white wolf that she was. No one had ever seen her transform
before except her uncle. Everyone stopped and got out of her way. She
ran down the mountain to the town where the witches had emerged.
When she got there Luca had left to chase her aunt while the warriors
fought off the witches who had used werecats to attack them. Luna
changed back to her human form and burned them all to a crisp
leaving the werecats to the warriors who would handle them easily.
Luna followed Luca's scent and eventually came to find them in a large
clearing in the woods.
âLydia, why are you doing this? You practically raised me. You were my
family. I loved you.â She told Lydia. âYes, and what did I get in return,
you had my daughter killed.â
âShe tried to kill me, and She killed Luca's fatherâ Luna shouted. âLuna
stop whining. Your mother was a half-witch, and she took everything
from me. Always getting all the attention. I loved your father and she
took him from me all because I didn't have wolf blood. Well, she met
her end, and I did have him until he started to suspect me. I had no
choice but to kill him. And I will kill you too if you don't stay out of my
way, little bitch.â
She had Luca caught in a pentagram, so Luna was trying to distract her
to set him free. She used her power to break the pentagram that held
Luca and he pounced on her and ripped her neck from her body. With
her gone the others would be easy to handle. They transformed and
went back to town to help the others fight Lydiaâs goons. When they
got there things were almost done. Luna and Luca helped them kill the
rest of the goons and left them to clean up the mess.
Luca let out a loud growl that shook the ground letting everyone know
that the threat was neutralized. Now they could get back to their
festivities. They needed to run together in the woods so Luca could
mark her. They did just that and when they returned, they each went to
change into evening clothes to wrap up the celebrations. When they
got there everyone was waiting to see Luna and Luca. When they
emerged hand in hand everyone chanted âLong live the Lycan and his
soul mate. The festivities ended and the wolves took off to enjoy the
full moon.
Luca and Luna went to their room which was already prepared. Luna
taunted her husband by undressing right in front of him. she led him to
the tub where they were finally able to be together uninterrupted all
night long. While they made love and consummate their union it
rained. the moon goddess had blessed their union. The tribe could be
heard howling to the blessing given to the Lycan and his mate.
Finally, Luna was happy. Lydia was no longer a threat and she got to be
with her mate. This is something that wolves and Lycans spend their
lifetimes searching for and never find however after searching several
lifetimes for each other they have finally been blessed.
The old king could finally rest easy knowing that his legacy was safe,
and his lineage was going to be a royal one. The following day was a
good one. The king had given the packs permission to return to their
homes as Lydia was no longer a threat. Of course, Luna spent a bit of
time with Soccorah before she returned to school. This was no longer
an option for Luna and Luca as they had so many responsibilities.
Luna's number one responsibility was bearing cubs. Everyone seemed
to think that this was already in the making since the moon goddess
had clearly blessed their union. This was the beginning of a great love
story.
