I drove Abby back home after watching the movie, then drove back to Troy's house. We were all sitting around the living room playing call of duty well, Ryan and Daniel are.
I was sitting on the couch watching them play while talking to Troy. "Man, you just had to come busting in at the time you did." I tell him.
"My bad. I thought she was stabbing you or something. You know I don't know that chick well and she was pissed when she left out of here." He says.
"Anyways, our little plan worked. That was smart of you to pop in Fifty Shades Of Grey. She was turned on. No doubt about it. You should have seen us in the kitchen. I made her moan." I smirk.
"Haha. At this rate, you'll have her in bed by next week." He pats my shoulder.
"One problem though. Stephen and her are friends. He might try and get in the way of her and me." I tell him.
"I doubt it. You know Stephen probably hasn't even gotten over what's her name. I doubt he'll be making a move on Abby." He says.
"You know, you're probably right. I'll just keep my eye on him. I don't want him getting in the way of the bet." I say.
"Is that all you guys can talk about is that damn bet?! You guys act like your lives revolve around that bet." Ryan says.
"Calm down, bro. She won't even know about the bet. When he sleeps with her, he'll tell her the next morning that she wasn't good in bed and that it's over. Simple." Troy smiles.
"You guys are sick. When she chops your balls off don't say anything." Ryan turns back to the game.
I roll my eyes. I don't know why he's acting like this. "What's your problem?" I ask him.
"She's a person, dude. She has feelings. She doesn't deserve to be treated that way. No one does, but if you want to continue the bet, go ahead. Something good might come out of it." He sighs.
"Well, I am going to continue on with my bet and there will be something good that will come out of it. I'll get money." I smile.
Troy laughs at me while Ryan rolls his eyes. "Alright, I'm about to leave. I'll see you guys Monday." I tell them.
They say bye and I get up and leave. Abby is intriguing to me. I noticed that she's becoming more comfortable around me too.
Today at that store I felt kind of weird. When she told me she knew I would never hurt her, it kind of made me feel bad. I mean, she wouldn't fall in love with me. Would she? I stopped thinking about Abby and called one of my quickies.
"Hey Jennifer." I greet the girl. "Jordan. What a surprise. Haven't seen you in a while." She says, trying to sound cool, but you can tell she's happy I called.
"Listen, can you come by the house. I really miss you and I want to hang out." I lie.
"Of course I can. Anything for you Jordy. I'll be there in fifteen minutes." I cringe at the nickname she gave me and hang up.
I knew when she got to my house, that we would be tearing each others clothes off. She was a cute brunette, but was always annoying. After sex, she always wanted to go out or talk about 'our' future. Yeah, there's no future for us.
I pull into my driveway and enter my house. I got a couple of minutes to spare before Jennifer gets here. My foster parents are never home. They like to spend their time in the office. I don't mind though. Because girls like Jennifer can come over whenever they want.
About eight minutes later, a knock comes at the door. I open it and smile. "Hey, Jen." I say.
"Hey, Jordy." She smiles before walking in and closing the door. She has on a coat and I'm wondering why would she have a coat on when it's hot as I don't know what outside.
She steps closer before she takes off the coat and lets it drop to the floor. She's completely naked. I smile to myself before I go over to her and attack her with my lips.
*****
It was Monday again. Second week of school and I'm already ready for summer. Sad. I know.
It's fifth period and I have a free period. I'm just walking around the school when I see Abby. I run to catch up with her. She must have a free period, too.
"Hey, Abster. Slow down." I say, running up to her. She stops and turns around to see who's calling her.
"Oh, Jordan. Hey and what did you just call me?" She asks. She starts walking again and I follow her. I don't care where we go, I just need someone's company.
"Abster. Do you like your nickname?" I smile. "No, I hate it. Can you give me another one?" She asks.
I put my finger on my chin like I'm thinking about it. "Choose from these. Abster, Tomato, Blondie, ocean eyes, or midget." I smirk.
"Okay, I get Abster, Blondie, and ocean eyes, but not Tomato and Midget. Please explain?" She says.
"Tomato because anytime you blush you like a Tomato. Midget because your short as hell." I laugh.
She punches me in the arm. "I am not that short. It's not my fault you're a giant." She laughs.
"Whatever. I'll decide for you. Midget it is." I tease.
She rolls her eyes. "Well, your nickname for me will be giant." She fires back.
"Aw, we have nicknames for each other. Midget and giant. We'll take over the world. I can already see the headlines. Giant and midget, the bad duo." I wink.
"You have got to get a life." She laughs. Abby is such a cool girl to hang around. She doesn't talk about shopping or gossip like most of the girls I get with. I never met a girl like her before.
"So where are you headed anyway?" I ask. She stops in front of the library and points at it.
"I have a free period. I come here and study for a test that I have in one of my next classes or do homework. Where are you headed?" She asks.
"To the library now. Mind if I join you?" I ask her. She shakes her head no and I follow her into the library.
I haven't been here since freshman year when we had a project to do and we had to do it with partners. She walks over to a table and sits down. I take the seat next to her.
She gets out her math book and starts to do her homework. I watch how she solves each problem with ease. When she gets to one that makes her think on it, her eyebrows furrow and she taps her pencil on her head. It's actually kind of cute.
"You're making me uncomfortable with all your staring." She says suddenly. I don't try to hide the fact that I was staring at her. I simply smile.
"I like the view. You're really cute when you're doing homework." I smile. She starts blushing and looks down.
"Thanks, but I don't like when you stare at me while I'm working. I can't focus when I know you're looking at me." She tells me.
I nod my head. "How about you skip the homework and we find out some things about each other." I suggest.
She thinks about it. "Why not. Sure. Want to play twenty one questions?" She asks.
"Sure, but we get the option to skip three questions. You can go first. What are you dying to know about me, midget?" I tease her.
She rolls her eyes, "I'm not dying to know anything. It's just a game. Anyways, how did you and the guys meet?" She asks.
"Nice question. We met at a pool party when we were twelve. Our parents had planned it and forced us to go. The kids were playing a game of Marco and Polo. Troy was the person that was it. He was peaking when he wasn't suppose to look and I accused him. We ended up fighting in the water and Daniel and Ryan tried to break us up, but ended up getting in the fight. We all got put in time out together. After about ten minutes of being mad at each other we started talking to each other and since then we've been friends." I tell her the story.
She laughs, "All over a game you play in the water?" She asks.
"That's question number two and yes." I smirk.
"That's not fair. I wasn't really asking it as a question and you know it." She pouts.
"Sorry. It was a question and I answered it. So if you're done asking questions then may I ask one of my own?" I ask.
She smirks. "You just did and yes you may. Want to go for question number two?" She asks and then curses.
I laugh. "By the time we get to twenty one, we're not going to know anything about each other." I smile.
"How about this. No twenty one questions. Just ask what we want and if it's too personal we can skip it." She suggests.
"Alright. Deal. I have a question. Have you and Jake ever dated?" I ask.
"Ew, no. Jake and I are just friends. Friends since we were little kids. I see him as a brother. Nothing more." She says.
"Hey, no need to get all defensive. I was only asking a question." I smirk.
She rolls her eyes. "I have a question of my own. What went down between Stephen and you guys? Daniel and Ryan were talking about it Saturday." I can tell she was hesitate about asking the question.
I tense when I hear the question. I can't believe Ryan and Daniel would even mention that to her. "Pass." I say without giving it much thought. It's none of her business.
She places a hand on top of mine. "You know you can talk to me, right?" She gives me a small smile.
I look at her hand on top of mine and pull it away. Hurt flashes across her face before it quickly vanishes.
"It's just a personal thing. I don't mean to be rude." I tell her. She nods her head, but I can tell I still hurt her feelings.
"Anyways, today at lunch, I was wondering if you and your friends could come sit at our table?" I ask her, changing the subject.
"With all the popular kids?" She asks. I nod my head.
"No way. They're going to look at me like I'm some nut job. I don't exactly fit in over there, Jordan." She runs a hand through her hair.
"Look, I'll be over there and so will Jake and Alyssa. You'll sit next to me. You don't have anything to worry about. If anyone says anything to you, you let me know and I'll handle it." I reassure her.
She's thinking about. She looks at me and I give her a smile. She sighs. "Fine, but don't expect me to be all social." She glares.
"Fine by me. Like I said, we have to break you out of that shell of yours." I smirk.
"Whatever. You're not doctor Phil." She says.
I laugh, "No, I'm not. I'm much hotter and I get more girls." I wink.
That earns me another eye roll. She goes back to doing homework while I play some stupid game called Orbit Run, that Daniel had me download.
*****
It's lunch time and we're sitting at our regular table again. I'm sitting in between Troy and Abby. I thought Abby would be having a panic attack by now, but she seems to be keeping her cool.
I see Stephen making his way towards our table and I immediately sit up straight along with the guys. He never approaches our table.
"Hey, Troy, Ryan, Daniel and Jordan." He smirks.
"Why are you here Stephen?" Troy asks. He's giving Stephen one of his death glares, but Stephen seems to not be affected by it.
"I came over here to talk to Abby." He points towards Abby.
I turn to her and her eyes are wide. She's either shocked that Stephen is here for her or afraid that she's in trouble with me. Probably both.
"F-for me?" She stutters. "Yeah. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me after school?" He asks her.
I speak up before she gets the chance too. "She can't. We're hanging out after school." I tell him.
She's looking at me now, but I ignore her glare. Stephen is staring at me and I'm staring at him. I'm not backing down and neither is he.
"Alright. Maybe, we can hang out tomorrow then, Abby." He says her name to make sure that I won't speak up for her.
"Um, sure. Just text me the plans." She says. He smiles at her then gives me a glare before walking off.
"You really need to stay away from him. I don't trust that guy." I tell her.
"It's not that you don't trust him. It's just you don't like him. There's a difference, Jordan." She bites off of her apple, not looking at me.
Okay, I wasn't expecting her to get smart with me. I look around the table and I see Virginia shooting death glares at Abby. I forgot that Turner told us that Virginia doesn't like Abby.
I raise an eyebrow at her and she points at Abby. I roll my eyes, basically telling her to suck it up. She sits back in her chair with a pout, basically telling me okay, but she stills doesn't like it.
I never liked Virginia. She's a spoiled brat. She thinks everything is supposed to go her way and if it doesn't, she becomes a bitch from hell. She doesn't intimidate me, but I've seen some of the girls she has bullied around here and the way they fear her.
"So what do you want to do after school?" I ask Abby.
"Well, I'm not free after school. I was going to tell Stephen that before you spoke up for me. I'm going to the mall with Alyssa and Jake." She says.
"Great. I'll tag along. The guys and I will meet you there." I smile at her.
"Who said I wanted you to come." She raises an eyebrow.
I lean forward and bring my lips to the shell of her ear. She freezes and it takes everything in me not to laugh at how I affect her.
"Your response to me right now tells me you wouldn't mind if I came with you. In fact, I think you would love it if I came along." I whisper in her ear.
She gulps and I lean back, laughing a bit. "Asshole." She mutters, which only makes me laugh more.
*****
"I love mall pizza. It's like almost better than pizza hut's pizza." Alyssa bites into her pizza and moans.
"You'll have to excuse her. She has an orgasm every time she eats food." Abby laughs.
"It's alright. I think it's quite cute." Daniel winks at Alyssa and in return she blushes.
I make a mental note to ask him about that. We didn't go to the mall right after school because we had practice. It's around five thirty right now and we're all just sitting here eating pizza.
"I have a question to ask." Troy announced. We all looked at him and he cleared his throat.
"Okay, so, Jake and Abby. You two are neighbors and friends. Do you guys ever like have sleep overs?" Troy asks.
I stare at him, giving him a 'really' look. He shrugs his shoulders. Jake laughs while Abby's cheeks are burning red.
"Yeah, I stay at her house whenever my parents are out of town or she comes and stays at my house whenever her parents are on vacation or something." Jake tells us.
"Have you guys ever done anything? You know. Maybe you both were curious and..." Jake cuts him off.
"No, dude. Abby and I are just friends. We don't see each other in that way. Never have. Never will. Besides, we sleep in separate beds." He says.
"You're out of your mind. If I had someone as hot as Abby living next to me, I'd be at her house every night." He winks.
I don't know why, but that comment made me mad. "Shut the hell up, Troy. She obviously isn't interested in you. Stop saying perverted shit like that to her." I snap.
Everyone is staring at me now, wondering why I just went postal. Troy laughs a little. "Sorry, man. I was only kidding. No need to lose your cool." He apologizes.
The rest of the time we eat the pizza and then get up to walk around the mall. "Do you guys want to go to the arcade?" Daniel asks.
"Why not? Can't be worse than walking around the mall." Ryan says.
We all walk into the arcade and look around. A bunch of kids are running around with tickets and money in hand. I pull out a five dollar bill and enter it in the machine to get coins.
"Hey, Midget. Want to be my partner in crime?" I ask her.
She laughs at me and walks over to me. "Why not, Giant." She smiles.
We walk over to the pacman game. I haven't played this game in a while. I never really liked playing it because the ghost looking things would always trap me somehow.
"I hate this game." Abby says. I look over at her and smirk. "You too?" I ask her.
"Yeah. The ghost things always," I finish her sentence for her, "Trap you?" I smirk.
"Don't feel bad. They trap me too. I usually win on the third try or second if I'm lucky." I tell her.
I start to play the game, giving it my full attention. "I bet you five bucks that I can win this game on my first try." I don't have to look at her to know she's smiling.
"I doubt it, but if you want to lose five dollars then fine." I smirk. Just when I'm about to make my way to the top half of the maze, the red ghost gets me.
"Shit. Your turn. Remember, first try." I smile.
"See, it's all about out smarting the ghost things. You have four little power up things to help you. You get as much of the yellow things as you can before you need to use the power up things. See watch and learn." She smiles.
She pops in some coins and starts the game. I watch as she uses her technique and see that it's actually working. She almost got caught, but she quickly avoided the ghost thing. She was in the top half now and I was secretly wishing she would lose, but she doesn't. She wins.
"What? I thought you said you hated this game?" I ask her, shocked.
"I do, but I never said I was bad at it. Pay up, Giant." She smirks.
I have to admit. It's a turn on that she beat me and now she's smirking. She must be picking up some of my habits.
I dig into my wallet and pull out five dollars. "You won fair and square." I hand her the five dollar bill and she takes it proudly.
We start walking around the arcade, trying to find other games to play. "How about we finish our questions game?" I suggest.
She nods her head and we take a seat at one of the tables. "How is your brother Matt doing?" I ask.
She laughs. "You know Matt?" She asks.
"Who doesn't know Matt. The guy was like the king of the school when he was here. Best quarterback ever. I looked up to the guy." I tell her.
"Wow. Talk about a fan girl. Anyways, he's good. He's enjoying the college life." She tells me.
"That's good. I can't wait to go off to college. I heard the parties are sick in college." I smile.
"Of course. You would want to go to college for that reason. How about your family. Any brothers or sisters?" She asks.
"Um, no. Only child." I tell her.
"Were you that bad that your parents didn't want to have another kid." She jokes.
"Um, I'm adopted." I tell her. I try to act like it doesn't bother me, but it does. I lost my parents at a young age and a kid never really gets over those things.
"Oh. What happened to your real parents?" She asks.
I don't like talking about my parents. I'd rather pretend it never happened than to talk about it. The guys know it's a touchy subject with me so they never bring up.
"Can we not talk about it. What do you want to go to college for?" I ask her.
I change the subject, but she doesn't seem to mind and if she does, she doesn't show it. I know it seems like I'm closed off, but she's nothing more to me than a bet. She doesn't need to know anything about me because at the end of the day it won't matter.
"Um, I've always wanted to be a pediatrician. So I've been thinking about that. What about you?" She asks.
"Um, I want to go pro in football, but if that doesn't work out, I want to start my own business." I tell her.
She seems shocked by my response. "What?" I ask her.
"I just didn't expect you to say that. I thought you would say something like become a male stripper." She teases.
"Aw, do you want me to be your personal magic Mike? I could do a strip tease for you right now, if you want?" I smirk.
She laughs. "You wish you were as good looking as Channing Tatum." She smiles.
"Whatever. They asked me to be in the movie, but I turned it down. I would just steal the other guy's shine." I smile.
We both end up laughing together. "You guys ready to go?" Jake comes up to us and asks.
"Yeah. I'll take you guys back home if you want?" I ask them.
"Thanks, man. I'll go tell Alyssa we're catching a ride with you." Jake says before leaving us.
We all start to walk out of the arcade and leave the mall. On the way to my car, I grab Abby's hand. She looks up at me and blushes. I give her a small smile. She looks really cute when she blushes. The way her blue eyes become all wide and her face turns red is so adorable.
What the hell am I saying? I just called Abby adorable. I have got to get laid soon.
After I drop off Jake, I drive over to Abby's house. We're sitting in the car now and she starts to laugh. I look at her and raise an eyebrow.
"You know I could have walked from Jake's house, right?" She laughs.
"Yeah, I wasn't really thinking at the moment. At least I saved you a walk." I laugh.
"Thanks, I guess. Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow at school, Giant." She smiles before getting out the car.
"Good night, Midget." I wave. She waves goodbye before closing the door and walking up to her front door.
She waves one last time and so do I before she enters the house. I back out of her driveway and head to my own house. Now all I have to do is come up with a plan on how to get her not to go out with Stephen tomorrow.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Abby on the cover. I hope you guys like this chapter. I think it's cute how Abby and Jordan joke around with each other.
Don't forget to vote and comment. I would have to say Troy is my favorite character just because of how blunt he is. Him or Alyssa. They're both pretty fearless.
