My plan to set up my tent far away from the Heroâs party starting the next day ended up being unnecessary. It seemed the Hero and the heroines, aware of the embarrassing sounds theyâd made, had already taken the initiative to pitch their tents as far apart as possible.
It was amusing to think that, despite everything, they still had a sense of shame. At the same time, I couldnât help but wonder if they intended to keep at it until we left the Abyss.
It wasnât exactly incomprehensible. Theyâd been suppressing their desires for a long time, and now they wanted to indulge. The Hero was no exception, nor were the other women.
Still, watching them enjoy themselves after breaking up a perfectly good couple just made me feel petty and spiteful.

âYouâve seemed out of sorts lately, Lady Agnes.â
ââ¦Not really.â
Not really? Her face betrayed every single conflicted emotion she was feeling.
If I brought up her relationship with Antonio too directly, sheâd probably deny it vehemently and avoid the topic entirely. It was better to wait it out than risk making things even more awkward by intervening.
Now that his sister was back to normal, Antonio no longer had any reason to clash with Agnes. The whole situation had been caused by his unreasonable choices in the first place.
