Abdul Razzaq's POV-
I tried talking to Kulsum throughout the day but she's been avoiding me like a plague.
Don't worry melekim, for you I'll become the deadliest plague, if it means you'll talk to me.
She has given me a cold shoulder throughout the day, and now it's finally night time.
Of course she'll have to come to the bedroom, where else would she go?!
She finally entered the room and her gaze softened as she spotted me, trying to avoid eye contact.
Oh this girl......
I was standing by the bed leaning against the side table.
"Selam." I cleared my throat. She jolted as her eyes met mine from the dressing table mirror.
"Selam." She replied coldly as she made her way to the shower.
Oh so she's using my actions against me huh...
"How was your day?" I slowly walked up to her.
"Good." She gulped as she reached for the bathroom door.
I grabbed her wrist and pulled her, as a result she collided with my chest making my heart beat like a mad horse, ready to jump out of my ribcage.
"What's your problem let me go!" Her eyes widened.
"Have you been avoiding me melekim?" Our gaze locked.
"Finally, you got the hint. Now let me go!" She struggled to free her hand.
"Ooh I see now.....you're jealous." I smirked.
"What nonsense. Why would I be jealous?" She gulped as she looked away.
"Because you care melekim." I smirked, my gaze still fixed on her.
"In your dreams. I don't care, go do whatever you want, have a second wife, what we have is just for 7 months anyway and I got no right to meddle in your business, so yeah....I don't care." She raised her voice as she gazed into my eyes intensely.
"Your eyes says otherwise....." I caressed her eyebrows as her gaze intensified.
"Oh yeah, what do they say?" She flared her nostrils.
"That you care, you care about me and our relationship." I smirked.
"For the last time Razzaq, I don't care!" She exclaimed.
I shoved her against the wall, caging her with my arms as she looked at me with disbelief, our faces just inches apart from each other.
"You do, just admit it." I breathed. She tore her gaze and looked everywhere but me.
"No! I don't care." She rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah? Say that while looking into my eyes melekim." I tilted my head to face her.
She quickly turned her head to the other side avoid meeting my eyes.
I lifted her chin gently with my index finger to make her face me.
"We both know you care....just say it." I said gently.
"And what difference does it make even if I do? You're not gonna change your decision. You're gonna marry her anyway." She said furiously yet her voice was broken.
I gazed into her eyes and so did she. Her hazel eyes replicated sadness as she stared at me.
"Even if I care....why do you care? We're just a business deal anyway. We're getting divorce after 7 months, so why should I care?" Her voice broke.
I rolled my eyes as I grabbed her shoulders. "I'm not marrying her! Never will! No matter what happens." I clenched my jaw.
"You're not? But I-I thought after that night with Esra.....you were planning to marry her." She frowned.
"What? What night?" I forrwed my eyebrows.
"I saw you enter Esra's room that night, so I thought you were cheating on me." She lowered her gaze.
"What!?" I looked at her in utter disbelief. My eyes widened as I clenched my jaw.
"I just went in because she needed my help to move the suitcase. And in fact you're the one cheating on me." My expressions intensified.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Her eyes widened.
"I saw you got out of the hotel room with Emir that day." I clenched my jaw.
"Emir accompanied me to a patient I needed to give therapy session to. He was a senior citizen and couldn't come to the clinic, so Emir offered to drop me there." Her gaze intensified.
"Guess we both misunderstood each other didn't we?" I said softly.
This was so silly! How could I even think like that!
"We never understood each other in the first place." She sighed.
"Or maybe we could have if Esra hadn't manipulated us." She rolled her eyes.
"What are you saying now?" I sighed. "She attacked herself that day Razzaq! And she blamed me for it!" She gazed deep into my eyes.
"Look she might be a bit weird but she's not crazy, you don't expect me to believe that do you? Why would she do that?" I rolled my eyes.
"Because she is crazy. She threatened me multiple times to push me out of her way and marry you. She did that to herself so that you would blame me and hate me. Please believe me.....just for once Razzaq, please believe me." Her eyes showed affection and sadness as her voice trembled.
She was telling the truth....my guts tells me she's right.
"So even if you're right....we don't have anything to prove that." I gulped.
"But we can catch her red handed. We just need a plan." She smirked.
"What plan?" I narrowed my eyebrows.
"You tell Mr. Baris that you accept the offer and you'll marry her and ask Esra to move in. We need to provoke her so that she makes a move. And then, I'll trick her into confessing everything and you'll capture everything on the camera." Her eyes lit up.
"Hmm that could work...but how are we going to provoke her into making a move?" I asked as I cocked a brow.
"Huh.....I didn't thought of that." She chuckled slightly.
"Wait, I'll call Aslihan and Zakariya to help us. They're an expert at mischief." I smirked.
I quickly called Zakariya up and asked him to come to my room along with Aslihan.
Minutes later they arrived, Kulsum and I explained them our plan.
"That's a great idea! Go for it." Aslihan chirped.
"Uhuh this will definitely work." Zakariya snapped his fingers.
"Yes, we know thank you very much, we just need something that would provoke Esra to make a move." I ran a hand through my hair.
"What is there to think? Be a lovey-dovey couple in front of her. Make her jealous intensely. Act like you're madly in love with Kulsum. I mean you don't have to act you already are head over heels for her." Aslihan smirked.
I shooted her a death glare as Kulsum's eyes widened and her cheeks instantly flushed.
Aslihan and Zakariya snickered at our discomfort.
"If you're gonna talk nonsense, you can leave." I rolled my eyes.
"No Aabey (big brother) this can actually work. Think about it, She'll get so jealous that she'll definitely make a move to push Kulsum out of her way and we'll just have to capture that move." Zakariya said firmly.
Now that I think about it, this could actually work...I spared a glance at Kulsum as she did too.
She nodded as her gaze lowered. Great, time to execute our plan.
The next day-
Kulsum's POV-
Abdul Razzaq talked to Mr. Baris and accepted the proposal while my mother-in-law told Esra to move in.
She entered the house wearing a proud smug on her face.
She's utterly shameless. My nerves started acting up as soon as I saw her.
I stared at her from my room's balcony making sure she doesn't spot me.
Abdul Razzaq and I decided that we don't leave the room until noon, so that Esra would get a wrong idea.
Soon it was lunch time and Abdul Razzaq and I finally headed downstairs to the dining hall.
Everyone was already seated as we both joined.
I noticed Esra's horrified expression as Razzaq and I entered holding hands.
Soon after the lunch, Abdul Razzaq and I escaped to the front garden of the house making sure Esra followed us.
We reached the fountain that stood in the middle as our back faced Esra.
"Are you sure about this?" He whispered. His voice sounded husky yet dark that it sent chills down my spine.
I nodded avoiding his gaze. "Is she still watching us?" He whispered into my ears.
I spared a quick glimpse at Esra and she was fuming.
I nodded my head in affirmation.
Suddenly I felt his hand sliding on my waist as his other hand cupped my face.
My heart was racing, even though this was just an act, my body electrified at his touch as if it was made for just him.
He inched closer to me, our eyes locked with each other and my heart ready to explode.
He leaned his head closer....and closer....as our lips ready to touch, and I pinched my eyes shut, my fists clutching my dress.
Soon after, I felt nothing, I gradually opened my eyes as he pulled away.
"She's gone." He said bluntly as he pulled his hands away.
My heart was throbbing in my chest as my knees became wobbly.
I kinda felt disappointed. Wait....am I craving for his kiss? Ya Allah I'm so shameless.
My cheeks instantly flushed as I avoid meeting his gaze. I quickly walked away from there keeping my gaze lowered.
I made my way to my room feeling a desperate need to breathe.
Suddenly a hand grabbed my wrist and pinned me against the wall in the hallway.
"Razzaq, what are you doing?" I whisper-yelled at him as I met his eyes.
"Shhh...She's here....she's still watching." He breathed as his voice darkened.
He put his palm on the wall as his other hand slipped on my waist, pulling me closer to him.
I instantly felt firework inside my chest and butterflies erupting in my stomach.
Ya Allah! What's happening to me!? I've never felt like this in my life.
But a part of me wanted to stay like this forever in his dark comforting embrace.
I spotted Esra behind the opposite pillar glaring at us, ready to chew me alive.
He dipped his head in my neck and I could feel his hot breaths tickling my skin.
His nose rubbing on my neck, teasing me as I felt his hairs on my shoulder.
His each breath, his every move made me addicted to him.
I felt this urge for him to just kiss me there, bite me, mark me....but unfortunately nothing like that happened and he pulled away.
