A/N The final chapter! It's been such an epic journey! Anyways, enjoy!
Velociraptor's P.O.V.
We've been walking though the Evil Forest to reach the lake for many, many hours now. It's day now, and I'm very nervous about seeing Evil Leafy again.
The air begins to chill around us, and I tighten my grip on the bucket of supplies I'm carrying, as we reach the Snowy Forest and Evil Forest boundary. There's snow under our feet, and I quickly spot the lake and it feeding part of The Goiky River.
Surely enough, there are pipes and small pumps around the lake, collecting oil into large bins. It doesn't look very stable though.
"I know she'll be around here somewhere." Says Leafy, setting her supplies on the ground. I do the same and we walk over to one of the spoil small pumps.
"Must be quite close to the surface." I comment, observing the pumps unusually small size.
"Indeed, dinosaur. Makes getting it quite a bit easier." Says a familiar voice from behind us.
Leafy and I quickly turn around to see Evil Leafy.
"Ah yes, my plan of attack is almost complete. You two will be of the uttermost help completing it." She continues.
"Actually, Evil Leafy," Leafy says, stepping forward, "We came here to kindly ask you not to attack. I'm sure whatever they did to you isn't worth getting revenge for by murdering several dozen people." I nod, backing up her statement.
Evil Leafy's expression doesn't change. "Oh sister, but don't you remember when they tried to execute you when you stole Dream Island? I suspected part of you wouldn't want them to be harmed, even after all they've done to you." She said coolly. "Of course, I have my reasons for doing this as well. See, I should have joined in season one... but I didn't, so they MUST pay."
I opened my mouth to respond, but Leafy replied first. "As much as I hate to admit it, there actions were somewhat justified. I did steal Dream Island, after all. As for you not joining, it's not even there fault! Can't you see that?"
Evil Leafy glared at us, surprised. "Very well then. You two are against me, and I'll have to deal with you." She then teleported out of sight.
"Where's she going?" I ask leafy nervously.
"I'm not sure-" She began to reply, before we heard a teleporting sound behind us.
Before I could turn around, I got knocked forward by Evil Leafy and nearly hit the oil pipeline.
"Woah, Evil Leafy! We don't have to settle this in conflict!" Leafy exclaimed, attempting to reason with her sister, only to get knocked into a tree.
Realizing my life was serious danger, I panicked. Scrambling over to the buckets of supplies, I grabbed the first thing I could, which happened to be a lighter.
Barely avoiding one attack from Evil Leafy, she quickly tried again. Flipping on the lighter didn't discourage her though. She charged at me, and although no lethal damage was inflicted on me, I crashed into the pipeline, breaking a hole in it with the lighter still on.
Wait. Oil. And fire.
Oh.
No.
The oil instantly ignited, bursting into flames. I leapt away, dropping the lighter, and landing beside Leafy, who had now gotten back up. Even Evil Leafy had stopped attacking once she realized what was happening.
The bins and rest of the pipelines went up in flames and exploded, setting some nearby trees on fire as well.
Evil Leafy turned to face us, and I'll never forgot the furious look on her face.
"You've just made a terrible mistake, dinosaur."
Well, she was mad before, but that's nothing compared to now.
Leafy looked at me and uttered one word: "Run." And that's what we did. Or, at least, attempted to do.
As we tried to make our getaway, Evil Leafy teleported in front of us. "Going so soon?" She asked.
"We are." I replied, quickly trying to push her out of our path. It didn't work, and instead I got tossed to the side, and like Leafy previously, I hit a tree. Only this time, Evil Leafy threw a heavy branch on top of me to keep me there.
Once I saw she had Leafy cornered at the lake, I feared the worse. Yet when I remembered something, a surge of hope came though me.
"Even the greatest foes can be defeated by water."
Evil Leafy losses her powers if she touches water, and she's right by water.
It was as if I completely understood.
Managing to free myself, I charged.
"You have messed with me for the last t-" Evil Leafy began to say to Leafy, before she saw me.
Too late.
I crashed into her, and we both tumbled into the icy water. Shock coursed though me as I made contact with it.
I felt myself get dragged under by Evil Leafy, who to my horror had grabbed a knife, and was ready to finish me.
And in that moment, I used my last defense: My sickle claws.
As she attempted to stab me, I lashed out with my legs, slashing her and inflecting lethal wounds. I didn't want to do it. But it was my life or hers.
Leafy's P.O.V.
Did Velociraptor just... save my life? From my own sister?!
Shaking myself out of my shock, I realized the huge chance that she was drowning.
Bracing myself, I jumped into the water after her, despite having little training on how to swim.
I knew what had likely become of my sister, but I knew my only focus had to be on saving Velociraptor.
Spotting Velociraptor, I grab her and doing my very best to drag her to the surface, only able to do it since she's still conscious.
When we get to the surface, she looks at me as if to say something, but where dragged under by the current, and towards The Goiky River.
Are we gonna drown?
Deep despair finds itself it me.
Until something grabs Velociraptor's tail and drags us both out of the water.
I look at who saved us, and its.... FOUR?! But why would he save us?
After Velociraptor realizes its Four herself, she panics and rushes to hide behind me.
Four just kinda looks at us. "I saved you because I saw what happened with Evil Leafy. You weren't lying after all."
"Should've thought of that before you dragged us up to our house." Velociraptor said from behind me.
But then Velociraptor did something unexpected. She stood up from behind me, and ran past Four, following The Goiky River in the direction of the Bfb grounds.
I stand up as well. "She'll get over it." I say to Four before following her. "Velociraptor!" I call after her.
(Small time skip)
Velociraptor's P.O.V.
Stopping at last by the small cliff, I sit down.
Leafy shows up, out of breath, and sits next to me. I knew she was following.
"Sorry about running.... and... your sister." I gasp to her.
Leafy looks at me understandingly. "I understand. Even though she tried to kill us, I'll still miss my sister."
I nod. "I know Four understands that we weren't lying now, but, I know once I return, everyone's gonna find out what happened eventually, no matter if I manage to get Four not to say anything about it somehow. It's not just that. I'm worried about being eliminated one day. It's just... really scary for me." I explain to Leafy.
"I was a contestant once. I get the feeling." Leafy tells me.
The second dream. The second dream said to decide my true loyalty.
Only your heart can tell you truthfully.
I know now.
"Leafy. Can I stay with you in Yoyle City?" I ask her. Leafy looks at me, completely shocked.
"I truly believe I can't remain in the contest after today's events. I'd just be too traumatizing for me." I say truthfully.
"Of course you can!" Leafy finally replies. "As long as your happy, I'm happy to."
I smile and stand up. "Lets go then. Yoyle City, here we come!"
The end.
