GARRETT

“How fast do these things go?” Vada asked, eyeing the Jet Skis nervously.

“They can go up to seventy miles an hour,” Evan replied. “But we won’t be driving that fast.”

“Did he say ~seventy~?”

“Yeah,” I laughed.

“I recommend we stick to thirty to forty,” Evan advised.

“Can I go with you?” Vada whispered.

“Sure can, baby,” I said, straddling the seat. “Hop on.”

She climbed on and wrapped her arms tightly around my waist.

“No showing off, Garrett,” Evan warned.

Jake took off, roaring up the lake while Evan glared after him.

“Hold on, Vada,” I instructed before pushing the throttle, guiding the Jet Ski away from the dock. “You okay back there?!”

“Yeah!” she yelled. “Let’s go faster! I wanna catch Jake!”

I sped up, the wind and water blowing in our faces while I zoomed down the lake with Evan yelling after us.

“This is awesome!” Vada screamed.

We caught up to Jake and passed him as we rounded the corner that would take us to the private dock.

He almost tipped in our wake, correcting himself just in time while he yelled profanities that would earn him a heaping bowl of Brussels sprouts.

I slowed down when we approached the dock and brought the Jet Ski to a smooth stop.

Jake came in behind us, jumping on the dock. “That wasn’t cool, Garrett.”

“Relax, ~Evan~,” Vada said. “You didn’t tip over.”

“Don’t call me Evan,” he warned.

“Don’t talk like him.”

“Do you want me to take you over my knee?”

“Yes, please,” she drawled, accepting his outstretched hand as she climbed off the Jet Ski.

“How about I fuck you instead?” he growled, grabbing her ass, his lips crushing her mouth with a punishing kiss.

“Here’s comes Grandpa,” I chuckled while I secured the Jet Ski to the dock.

Evan pulled in on the other side of the dock, his lips pressed together in a firm scowl. We were about to get a lecture.

“You guys acted very recklessly,” he said. “Someone could’ve been hurt. Garrett, you can’t drive like that when you have a passenger. Vada could’ve been seriously injured or killed.”

“I’m fine, Evan,” she sighed, rolling her eyes.

“You’re riding with me on the way back.”

“Great,” she muttered.

We followed the trail for about half a mile, the melody of gently flowing water drifting through the stillness of the forest as we approached a break in the trees.

The water looked so clean and pure, flowing over the high ridge of the mountainside before collecting in the basin below.

“Wow,” Vada gasped. “That water is so blue. It looks like a swimming pool.”

“Too bad you don’t swim in lakes,” Evan said.

“That’s not a lake.”

“Does that mean you’re going in?” I asked.

“Darn right I am,” she declared.

“You didn’t wear a bathing suit,” Jake pointed out.

“I tried to tell her,” Evan sighed, shaking his head. “But she wouldn’t listen.”

“Why do I need one?” she asked, pushing her T-shirt over her head.

“I suppose you could swim in your underwear,” Evan said. “There’s nobody else here.

“The resort owner said this is private property and only accessible by boat. The likelihood of someone else showing up is quite low.”

She reached behind her back, releasing the clasp on her bra. “I don’t want to get my bra and panties wet,” she informed us with a mischievous grin.

“Uh,” Evan stuttered, gaping at her bare breasts as if he’d never seen them before.

“Problem, Evan?” she asked.

“Nope,” he choked out in a strangled whisper.

“Good.” She hooked her thumbs in her shorts and slid them over her hips along with her white lacy thong. “I’m going in. Who wants to join me?”

“I think she’s a tease,” I said while we watched her naked body disappear under the water.

“I would agree,” Jake said, his eyes following her as she swam across the small pool to the base of the waterfall.

She rose from the water and leaned her head back into the gentle stream, her nipples hardening before our eyes when the cool air hit them.

A simultaneous groan passed between us when she cupped her breasts, pinching her taut nipples while she dared us with a sexy smirk.

“She’s such a tease,” I repeated.

“Yup,” Jake agreed.

“She needs to be punished,” Evan declared. “I say we fuck her right here on this rock.”

I stripped naked, my cock bobbing with excitement.

“Let’s go get her,” Jake said, kicking off his shorts and boxers. “You coming, Ev?”

“Right behind you.”

The three of us waded through the shallow pool, the water reaching just above our waists when we reached the deepest spot. I was surprised to find a sand bottom.

“It’s a little chilly,” I laughed.

“Are you guys suffering from shrinkage?” Vada called out.

“Not a chance, baby,” Jake replied.

She slipped underneath the water and attempted to swim around us.

Foolish girl.

Jake reached out and hooked his arm around her waist. She kicked and screamed, her arms and legs flailing. He easily overpowered her, restraining her from behind.

“What’s the matter, love?” he growled, sinking his teeth into her neck.

“Do you remember your safe word?” Evan asked.

“Yes!” she cried.

“Is it still Moses?” I clarified.

“Yes,” she grunted, trying unsuccessfully to escape Jake’s tight hold.

“Why did you choose that?” Evan asked. “You never did say.”

“Moses is a nickname for a guy who likes going down on a woman while she’s on the rag,” Vada explained with a wicked laugh. “Because Moses was a biblical figure who parted the Red Sea.”

“And you chose that to torment me?”

“You betcha! And Garrett knew. We had a good laugh at your expense.”

“You’re a naughty girl, Vada,” he said.

“Punish me then,” she challenged.

“Spread her wide, Jake,” I said.

He moved to the shallower water before sliding his arms under her knees, holding her legs open while she continued to fight.

“Use your safe word if you don’t want to be fucked,” Jake ordered. “Otherwise hold still.”

Her pussy glistened in the afternoon sunlight, droplets of water clinging to her puffy lips. I ran my finger up her seam, rubbing my thumb firmly over her clit.

“Is she wet?” Evan asked.

“Very,” I confirmed, pushing two fingers inside her tight channel. “She wants it.”

“You always want cock, don’t you?” Jake whispered before sucking hard on her neck.

She cried out when I started fingering her roughly. Her moans of pleasure were carried away in the warm breeze.

“Answer me, girl,” Jake demanded.

“What was the question?”

“Do you want our cocks?”

“Yes,” she moaned, her hips bucking against me when I rubbed her G-spot. She released a strangled cry, her walls tightening around my fingers when she came.

“I think she’s ready,” I said, lining up my cock.

Evan leaned in and captured one of her nipples, sucking it hard when I drove inside her.

I drilled her with a few deep thrusts before pulling out to give Jake a turn. He entered her from behind, hammering her pussy while I teased her clit.

We continued our relentless pounding while Evan worked her nipples, twisting them between his fingers.

She tried to grab onto me, but Jake had her arms pinned. He was really giving it to her, his balls slapping against her ass while he slammed into her.

She screamed, her shrieks of pleasure ricocheting through the forest when she came the second time.

Jake pulled out, and I pushed back in, her convulsing pussy squeezing my cock. I wasn’t going to last much longer.

Vada fell back against Jake’s chest, her body going limp while her chest heaved up and down. I leaned forward, capturing her lips with a steamy kiss.

“I’m gonna cum now, beautiful,” I whispered.

She nodded, her eyes closed while she recovered from her orgasm. I pushed in as far as I could go, releasing my load deep inside her with a satisfied grunt.

My jizz dribbled down her thighs as I slowly pulled out, sullying the clean water. Jake slid back inside her while Evan took my place, fisting the base of his cock.

“Open your eyes, sweetheart,” Evan ordered, reaching between her legs to pinch her clit. “You’ve got two more loads coming your way.”

Jake started breathing harder, his thrusts becoming erratic while he chased his climax.

“Oh fuck!” Vada cried. “You’re so deep. So big. Too much.”

“Use your safe word if you want him to stop,” Evan said.

“I don’t want him to stop! I want him to finish! I need to cum again!”

Jake’s arms tightened around her, their bodies vibrating as they orgasmed together. Evan didn’t waste a second plunging inside her as soon as Jake pulled out.

I felt kind of sorry for Evan. Vada was too far gone to enjoy him, her body slumped against Jake.

Evan pumped in and out of her ravaged pussy before filling her with a third load of semen, adding to the growing cloud in the water beneath us.

We cleaned her up and carried her to the flat rock and laid her gently on the blanket Evan had brought.

She closed her eyes, a tiny sigh of contentment passing through her lips when we snuggled up to her.

“You belong to us now,” I whispered, pressing light kisses down her spine.

“Mm,” she mumbled. “That’s nice. I like belonging to someone.”

“We’ll take care of you, baby,” Jake murmured, resting his head on her belly.

“Forever,” Evan added, his face buried between her breasts.

“Okay,” she said softly.

***

“Do you think she meant it, Jake?” I asked.

“Meant what?”

“When Evan said we’d take care of her forever, and she said okay.”

“Not sure,” he said, turning the steaks he was cooking over the fire. “She was pretty out of it.”

“When do you think she’ll give us her answer?”

“The minute we arrive back in Miami.”

“I hope not, Jake. That wasn’t the plan.”

“We can’t force her to marry us.”

“But it would be better if we married her before we go home.”

“I don’t think that’s gonna happen, Garrett.”

“I should go wake her for dinner,” I said, pushing up from the picnic table. “I can’t believe she’s been asleep for four hours.”

“I can,” he chuckled. “Multiple orgasms are bound to wipe her out.”

Vada was sprawled across the bed on her back, her mouth open while she snored softly. I sat on the edge of the mattress and brushed her hair back from her forehead.

“Hey,” she whispered, stretching her arms above her head. “How long have I been sleeping?”

“Four hours.”

“I have not!” She bolted upright, glancing at the window. “What time is it?”

“Seven.”

“Holy crap. Did I miss dinner?”

“No. That’s why I came to wake you up. Jake’s cooking some steaks.”

“Where’s Evan?”

“He’s playing baseball.”

“Oh.”

My phone vibrated in my back pocket. I pulled it out and wrinkled my brow when I saw a strange number.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Garrett.”

My body tensed, my fingers tightening around the phone. My younger brother, Gavin, never called me. We weren’t close. He chose my parents over me.

I wasn’t angry with him. We’d just never had the opportunity to bond as teenagers. He was fourteen when I left home.

“What’s wrong, Gavin?”

“Mom passed away this afternoon.”

“Oh.”

“That’s all you have to say, Garrett? I just told you our mother is dead.”

“What do you expect me to say, Gavin?” I snapped. “I haven’t seen the woman since I was sixteen. When she chose sex over her son.”

“She didn’t choose sex over you, Garrett.”

“They refused to pay for my therapy! I was messed up because of their swinging lifestyle!”

“There’s no point in rehashing all that now,” he said. “She’s gone. I thought you might like to know.”

“What time did she die, Gavin?”

“Just after two. Why?”

“So you waited five hours to call me? I guess there were lots of people in her life more important than me.”

“There were lots of people to call who were ~in~ her life,” he bit back. “And you weren’t. Your choice. Mom would’ve welcomed you with open arms.

“When I called you a year ago and told you she had terminal cancer, that was your opportunity to make amends.

“It wouldn’t have killed you to grant a dying woman her last wish. But you were too selfish to be bothered.”

“Her dying wish was for a pity visit from her estranged kid?”

“No, asshole. Her dying wish was for forgiveness.”

“Somehow I doubt that, Gavin.”

“I didn’t call you to argue or bring up the past, Garrett,” he sighed. “I just called to notify you that she passed away.”

“Thank you,” I said curtly. “Please send my condolences to Dad and the Bakers.”

“What about Chloe and Calliope?”

“I’ve never met them, but please tell them I’m sorry for their loss.”

“It’s not too late, Garrett.”

“Huh?”

“Dad is still here. And our sisters.”

“~Half sisters.”

“The funeral is Saturday. Why don’t you come? It would make Dad so happy.”

“I didn’t come to see my mother when she was alive. But you want me to come to her funeral? That makes no sense.”

“It’s about forgiveness and new beginnings.”

“It’s far too late for that, Gavin.”

“It’s never too late, Garrett.”

“Yes, it is.”

“Whatever,” he muttered. “The funeral is Saturday at noon at the United Church on Old Cutler Road.”

“Thanks for calling.”

“Bye, Garrett.”

“Bye.”

Vada came to sit next to me on the side of the bed. “I’m sorry, Garrett,” she said quietly, reaching for my hand.

“She was a stranger to me. It’s really not a big deal.”

“She was your mother.”

“She may have given birth to me, but she hadn’t been my mother in a very long time.”

“You have sisters?”

“Half sisters.”

“I’m guessing your mother had children with the Baker guy?”

“She had one with him, and my dad had one with Mrs. Baker. They were born on the same day. Don’t ask me how they did that.”

“So they’re kind of like twins?”

“They’re only half sisters. But I suppose they’re like twins. They look alike.”

“You’ve met them?”

“Nope. But I’ve seen their pictures many times. They’re always in the news.”

“For what?”

“They’re Olympic swimmers. Gold medalists. And they used that fame well. They have a clothing and a makeup line. They’ve both dated celebrities.

“They’re always doing something to stay in the limelight.”

“Wait a minute,” she gasped. “Are Chloe and Calliope Baker your sisters?”

“~Half~ sisters. And yes.”

“Oh wow,” she whispered. “The media thinks they’re fraternal twins.”

“Best-kept secret in Hollywood,” I muttered. “You have to keep that to yourself, Vada. They’ve never done anything to me. I would never expose them.”

“My lips are sealed.”

“They were born less than a year after I left,” I said bitterly, the pain still as fresh as it was twenty-five years before.

“My parents refused to pay for my therapy, but they brought two more kids into the world. And invested a tremendous amount of time and money in them.

“Their entire lives revolved around the girls’ swimming.”

“I’m so sorry, Garrett. You deserved better.”

“I found my own family,” I said, rubbing my hand over hers. “Evan and Jake and your dad. And you. You guys are my family. Family doesn’t have to be blood relatives.”

“That’s very true.”

“I always hoped I’d have a big family one day,” I said sadly. “I’d be the best dad in the world. My kids would always come first.”

“You’d be an awesome dad, Garrett.”

“I would’ve been. But I never met the right girl.” I paused, gazing into her eyes. “Until now.”

She swallowed noisily, her throat working overtime. “You didn’t just meet me,” she protested.

“True,” I whispered. “But I didn’t know you as a woman. You were my best friend’s daughter. I was a father figure in your life. That’s over now. We can never go back to that.

“And I don’t want to. I want you as my lover. My wife. The mother of my children.”

“Your mother just passed away, Garrett,” she said gently.

“No. The woman who gave birth to me died. There’s a big difference.”

“She was your mother for sixteen years.”

“I need to get some air,” I muttered, pushing up from the bed.

“Garrett,” she called when I stormed out of the bedroom.

I was the one who calmed people down when they were upset.

I was the one who used humor to relieve tension.

But not that day.

The guilt trip my brother laid on me, and the uncertainty with Vada.

It was too much.

She was unpredictable. I had no idea if we were getting anywhere with her.

Jake and Evan seemed confident, both claiming their nights alone with her were filled with passionate lovemaking. But I hadn’t really had a night like that.

I stormed into the woods.

She came after me. “Garrett! Wait up!”

“I want to be alone, Vada.”

“Where are you going?” she panted when she caught up to me. “It’s gonna be dark in an hour.”

“I don’t care.”

“Garrett, please stop.”

“Go back to the cottage, Vada.”

“No. I’m not leaving you alone in the woods.”

I pulled out my phone to call Jake, but I had no service. “Great,” I muttered. “Do you have your phone?”

“No.”

“It looks like there’s a break in the trees just up ahead,” I said. “Maybe we can get some reception there.”

“Why can’t we just turn around and go back?”

“~You’re~ going back,” I barked. “I want to be alone.”

“Come back,” she begged. “I’ll leave you alone. I promise.”

The clearing was much further than it looked, but I forged ahead with Vada on my heels, slapping at her bare arms.

“You’re gonna get eaten alive by mosquitoes,” I said.

“How come they’re not biting you?”

“I don’t know,” I mumbled.

We reached the clearing, where a slow-moving creek passed through the forest. I walked over to the edge and held my phone up in the air.

“What the fuck?!” I yelled.

My feet were sinking into the sandy shoreline. I tried to pull them out, but that only caused me to sink further.

“Are you stuck?” Vada asked.

“Stuck and sinking! I think I’m in quicksand!”
