~ Leo
I woke up drenched in sweat and out of breath. These nightmares were sure to kill me one of these days. I knew enough now to expect them, but that never seemed to make any difference when I woke up terrified each morning.
Leaning my head back against the pillow, I stared at the ceiling for a moment, trying to slow my racing heartbeat. It's been over a week since I've started having them nightly. I didn't know how much longer I could take it.
Checking the time, there was still close to two hours before I needed to get up, but I knew I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. So, carefully getting out of bed so as to not wake anyone else, I quickly got showered and dressed. When I was finished, I grabbed everything I would need for the day from the bedroom, checked on the kids, who were both still fast asleep, and headed out the door. Technically, I was going to work, I just needed to make a stop on the way there, and since I texted him asking if he was home, he already knew I was coming, so I didn't have to wait here any longer.
The drive took about half an hour, which wasn't bad, considering there was barely any traffic this early and the drive usually took close to an hour. Before I knew it, I was pulling into the driveway of a quaint house.
As soon as I turned off the engine, the front door opened and a kid ran out. He didn't even stop, probably not even noticing my car here, since he had his sweatshirt hood pulled up and headphones plugged into both ears. I watched him for a moment as he made it to the street just in time for a school bus to pull up and let him on.
Making my way to the house, I only had to wait a couple seconds after I knocked on the door before it opened. Quincy looked absolutely exhausted as he invited me inside.
"You doing okay, man?" I asked as I sat down at the kitchen table across from him.
Quincy nodded his head, tying his hair back in a loose ponytail. "Fine. Just hard being able to sleep without Reed in the bed, you know?"
I understood the feeling. Years ago, when Kyle used to work night shifts, we all felt his absence. But why wouldn't Reed be there? I didn't want to ask, but he kept talking, so even if I wanted to ask, I wouldn't have been able to.
"Although, in lighter news, Billy's really starting to open up to us. Doing much better in school, too. Reed's busy, like usual. He insists on working overtime during the week, so I barely see him, especially at night, but I can't complain too much. I know he's not cheating because, one, I trust him, and two, the pay check proves it. Which helps since I haven't been getting as many clients as I'd like."
"Maybe that's why Reed's taking the overtime," I suggested.
He thought for a second. "Maybe. But there was a reason you stopped by, right? I mean, more than just the casual catch up?"
I nodded. "Yeah. I wanted your opinion on something. I didn't really want to bother you with this, but I can barely sleep." He nodded his head, encouraging me to go on. "I've been having these nightmares recently. It's weird because I rarely ever remember my dreams, until these nightmares came along. The first time I got them was before the twins were born, but they went away as soon as they were here. These nightmares just started up again last week, and I don't know why or how to stop them." I then went on to describe the dreams in detail, all the while, Quincy stayed quiet, listening.
He stayed quiet another moment after I stopped talking. "I'm sorry, Leo, but dreams really aren't my specialty." I sighed, but he continued. "But I can say that you're probably stressed about something. Obviously the nightmare you had before your kids were born was a visualization of you fearing they would not be who you expected them to be. These, though... I don't know. Maybe it's you fearing that you'll lose them. Or it's something else entirely, but your subconscious is only reverting back to what it's used to. I wish I could help you more, Leo. Really, I do."
I shrugged. I wasn't sure what I was expecting Quincy to be able to do. I knew he wouldn't be able to cure me of these nightmares, that's for sure. But I did feel slightly better to talk to him about it.
"What the fuck are you doing here?"
I looked up to see Reed entering the room, wearing only a pair of sweatpants, no shirt. He walked behind Quincy, putting his hand on his husband's shoulder.
"Good morning to you, too, Reed," I replied with a smile. We may all be friends now, after what happened when we first met, but I still didn't think Reed liked us very much.
At least Quincy liked us. He swatted Reed's bare chest. "Will you be nice?" Reed grumbled something under his breath before leaving the kitchen. Quincy looked back at me, an apologetic look on his face. "Sorry. He's been grumpy lately."
I shook my head with a chuckle. "It's fine. Kinda used to that from him." Checking the time, I sighed. I needed to get to work. "Thanks for letting me stop by," I said, standing up. "But I gotta head out if I want to make it to work on time."
Quincy also got to his feet. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you."
"No," I said quickly. "No, no, no. You did help. Just talking to you about it helped."
"If you say so. Call me or stop by again if you need anything. Please." We started walking towards the door. "We should get together sometime soon. All of us. It's been forever."
I couldn't have agreed more. "You know what? We're having a party for the kids' birthday. This weekend. Saturday. You guys should come."
He smiled widely. "Definitely."

"Can I has a pony, Daddy?" Ashley asked Jackson and me while she ate her breakfast.
He and I looked at each other. A pony was definitely out of the question. Besides, we already bought them their gifts. They were both getting new bikes for their birthday. The old bikes, which had started with training wheels, were getting too small now.
"Maybe when you're older, Ash," Jay said, turning his attention to her. I nudged his leg with my knee. He didn't need to be getting her hopes up. "Or maybe not. You need to show us that you can be responsible enough to take care of an animal all by yourself."
"Besides," I added, ignoring the pout Ashley was giving us. "We already bought all the presents you two are going to get this year."
Josh walked into the room just then. He looked a bit stressed. "Hurry up guys," he said to the kids. "We're leaving in ten minutes."
I reached my arm out as he walked by me and pulled him into my lap. He let out a little squeak, which Jackson chuckled at but I ignored him. Instead I kissed Josh's cheek. "What's wrong?" I asked him. "You're stressed about something."
"Honestly? It's Leo."
What about Leo? Did I miss something this morning? He was already gone by the time I got up, but that wasn't too unusual, especially for this time of year.
Jackson spoke up before I could say anything. "Did he have another one of those dreams last night?"
Josh turned his attention to the kids, who were both finished eating and now just watching us. "Go get dressed. And hurry up." The two of the scurried away from the kitchen and Josh waited until we heard them climbing the stairs to answer Jackson's question. "I don't know. He was long gone by the time I woke up. He didn't leave a note and no coffee was made either. It's not like him."
I shook my head. Definitely didn't sound like Leo. I was worried about him too, but this made my worry worse. What if these nightmares were affecting him a lot more than he was letting on?
"He'll be okay," Jackson said. "He's strong. If there's anything Leo can work through, it'll be this. And he already got past these nightmares once, he'll be able to do it again."
I could only hope that was true.

Josh was fidgeting. He had been like this ever since he got home from work today. Usually he fidgets when he's either really nervous or really excited about something, but he wasn't telling us anything that would give it away. It wasn't until after the kids were in bed that he finally told us what has him all jittery.
He ushered the three of us into our bedroom, closing the door behind him. Then he pulled a dark blue bandanna out of his pocket. That confused me even more. What did it have to do with anything?
"So, when I stopped by the store after work, I saw this and it reminded me of senior year."
Leo gasped. "Guess the dick!"
We all started laughing then. I had completely forgotten about that game. We had gotten bored one day and decided to see how well we knew each other's dicks by only using our mouths.
"Do you guys want to play?" Josh asked, suddenly sounding nervous about bringing it up. "I mean, I figured it would be a fun distraction from everything."
"Hell yes," Jay said. Leo and I immediately agreed as well. It's been a good eight years or so since we've done this. I think it was time to bring it back.
Josh smiled. "Okay. We'll go through the rules again, because it's been a while. One: guesser must be blindfolded and cannot peak. Two: only the mouth can be used. No hands or other body parts.""
"No biting," I said, remembering. "Or doing anything to cause the person to make a sound."
"And no one else can give hints," Leo added. "Also, only one guess, right? If it's right, you get a point, if it's wrong, you lose a point. First to ten wins."
"I'm going to add a new rule," Jackson said once we determined that was it for the old rules. "If a child comes along, which shouldn't happen 'cause they're supposed to be asleep, but if it does, we stop immediately before they see anything and the round doesn't count."
With that set, we determined that each guesser will only have twenty seconds. It used to be a minute back in college, but we should all be able to do this in a much shorter time. It also got rid of the problem that we used to have of the guesser getting distracted and just going for the full blow job. Not that any of us really complained then, but we weren't hormonal twenty-something year old boys any more.
Leo was guessing first. He sat down on the floor, his back against the bed, hands under his ass, and the bandanna over his eyes. He was wearing that little grin of his, waiting for the game to start, which couldn't happen until the three of us were out of our clothes and we decided who was going first. That person ended up being me.
I waited until Josh was ready with the timer. As soon as he started it, I placed the tip of my dick next to Leo's mouth. He immediately took it in and I almost groaned. I wasn't sure how long it's been since Leo's sucked me off. Probably too long if I was reacting like this.
Eventually the timer went off and I pulled away from Leo. He continued to sit there, not moving, and that grin still on his face.
"It's been a long time since I've tasted that dick," he said. "How'd that feel, love?"
"You need to say a name, babe," Josh replied. "Otherwise it won't count."
Leo laughed. "Fine. Kyle, how was it, my love?"
I walked over and pulled off the bandanna. Then, leaning down, I kissed him. "Better than I've had in a while."
He kissed me one more time before quickly flipping me so that I was the one sitting on the floor with him leaning over me. "Kyle's next," he sang, putting the bandanna over my eyes.
I sat there with my hands behind my back, anxiously waiting. After what felt like forever in the silence that filled the room, I felt something press against my lips.
Pulling the dick into my mouth, I recognized it right away. How could I not recognize the first one I've ever had in my mouth? Before I knew it, the twenty seconds were up, and he backed away from me.
I smirked. "That was too easy. You really think I wouldn't know the first dick I've ever had? Josh?"
Light suddenly blinded me as the bandanna disappeared. Josh was kneeling in front of me, already kissing me. "I love you," he whispered against my lips.
"I love you, too." I stood up and looked at Jackson. "Jay's next."
The game continued on for another hour or so. We were having so much reminiscing that we never actually kept score. Not like it really matter. Nobody got an answer wrong.
Definitely a good distraction from everything going on in our lives right now. We needed this.
